So, is it possible to build a tolerance to being allergic to cats? I'm hoping its alright I started a new topic rather then continuing the other post o:
I used to break out on my arms and sniffle badly when I only had Cleo. But after about 2 years, the allergic reactions completely went away. And now my only symptoms are once in awhile itching for 2 seconds, and a few sniffles. Reguardless if i take allergy medicine or not c:
Was I never allergic to my cat like my doctor had thought, and it was something else?
Did I build a tolerance?

I find that my allergies vary from cat to cat. Just like humans, some cats tend to be more dandery than others, have skin issues, etc.

When I first brought my Mister home, it was BAD. Now, its tolerable and I sneeze occasionally, but hes shedding less and has been 100% transitioned to grain free food. I find that diet plays alot in cat dander etc.

I for some reason never thought about all that before! That makes sense lol

Tolerance to allergens can be built up over time.

Allergies can also pop up basically out of the blue or suddenly get worse or whatever.
