Survival on the island is up to YOU. Scattered across various places in the damaged Wonder Park are small pockets of hope, weapons that you can try to reach in order to increase your survivability. These are often extremely risky to take and carry. Items are classified into the types below. All weapons are first come first serve. A reminder that while items are important and may save you, carrying too many will slow you down, and decrease your escape roll chance!
Weapons available: All weapons are classified by allowing you to gain attack power, but are difficult to find. They are of limited supply and may break. - Handgun They seem to be everywhere but none of them are standardized meaning the bullets for each one is frustratingly different. This one is loaded only with half ammo. You can fire three shots from the handgun. Each shot does + 3 damage on top of your normal attacks. If the normal attack is result is 0 or negative, the result with the gun is 3. (subtract 1 from your escape rolls for every handgun you carry) - Shotgun A very large, unwieldy gun that is a lot more effective. This gun is loaded only with one shot. You can one shot from the shotgun. Each shot does damage equal to 50% of your opponent's REMAINING HP. (subtract 3 from your escape rolls for every shotgun you carry) - Throwing stars .... Really? Throwing stars are light but extremely difficult to use. You may only use this once. Roll a 6-sided dice. If you roll 1 or 6, you do 10 damage to your opponent. Otherwise, you do nothing. This takes up a turn. (subtract 1 from your escape rolls for every set of throwing stars you carry)
Healing Items available: All healing items are classified by their ability to heal a player. These can be found in a number of areas and are of limited supply. - Polysporin This will prevent at least the infection of wounds and help your wounds heal faster. You may use this up to three times on whomever. Each use heals you +5 HP (subtract 1 from your escape rolls for every polysporin you carry) - Ice pack This helps ease the pain and bruising. Phew. You may use this unlimited times. As long as you carry it, every single 24 OOC hours that pass will heal your character for +5 HP. It can only heal the person carrying it. You can use this indefinitely until discarded. Does not stack. (subtract 3 from your escape rolls for every icepack you carry) - Medkit Painkillers, gauze, a needle, thread, and anti-septic needed to treat a severe wound. You may use this once. It will heal you for 15 HP. (subtract 2 from your escape rolls for every medkit you carry)
Defensive Items available: The most common type of item. These ones may spare you from otherwise terrible damage or ward off enemies or even camouflage you for a bit. They may also break easily. - Chains Chains will slow an enemy down. If you fail to roll to escape, roll a 20-sided dice again. If you roll 5 or higher, you manage to escape! . You can only use this once. (subtract 2 from your escape rolls for every chain you carry) - Pair of Shoes It's a pretty decent pair of shoes. Maybe you can run faster with these. Your equipment load feels lighter. (add +1 to escape rolls.) You can use this indefinitely until discarded. Does not stack. - Kelvar Vest: Not the most comfortable, but b Add +10 permanently to your HP. You can use this indefinitely until discarded. Does not stack. (subtract 2 from your escape rolls for every vest you carry)
SPECIAL ACCESS CARDS: - Occasionally, you may run into a SPECIAL ACCESS CARD. It looks like in the chaos, a high-level staff member has dropped it by accident! Each SPECIAL ACCESS CARD leads only to a specific area. For instance, you may find a SPECIAL ACCESS CARD labelled PARABLE POOL. You will only be able to use it for that location by finding the secret security point.
SECRET SECURITY POINTS: - If you have a special access card and you reach that specific security point, congratulations, you have found a loot and shelter area. This will provide you shelter for 24 IC hours as well as some useful loot, such as attack, healing, and defensive items.

The boat house offers a brief safe haven to your group. Though it doesn't have any supplies within it, there is a single motor boat that may offer more than temporary safety. Could this be your means to escape the island?

Dean arrived at the boat house with a SCREECH of tires, spinning out and nearly parking inside the building.
Luckily, the SUV was new and the brakes fairly good, and he skidded to a halt just in front of the door.
He jumped out and swiped his card frantically. On the third try, it took, and with a relieved sigh he slumped into the building, collapsing on it's clean and polished floor.
[ENTER] Layla crouched and crawled for the Boat House and then realized she'd forgotten something very important.
"The access card...." She groaned and reached into her pockets knowing it would be futile, she wasn't carrying one. She sat down and hugged her knees with a shudder. So close and yet so far...why hadn't she thought to ask Dr Moore if he had one? God Why?!
She unclipped her staff badge and thought about trying to scan it in vain hope. Miracle? Please?
Then she heard the skidding sound of breaks and jumped to her feet.
"Wait!" She rushed after Dean, oh come on he wasn't seriously going to leave her locked out?!

He lifted his head warily.
Oh.
He climbed awkwardly to his feet, opening the door and ushering her in.
"Hello, ah. You wouldn't happen to have any butterfingers would you? Oh, nevermind." He fretted. Would he ever see a butterfinger again?

Layla scrambled inside and then moved to grab Dean and kiss him, hey why not she'd been about to have sex with Dr Moore just so he'd give her the honor of a decent death and this man had just saved her skin!
Butterfinger? Really he was thinking candy at a time like this.
"I don't, but if I did I assure you I would give you all the butterfinger in the world. You hurt?"
She moved to apply some polysporin to her scratches and mild cuts.

Dean nearly jumped out of his own skin when she grabbed him and then -
Well.
He stared at her, dumbstruck.
"I got bit by a dog," he replied distantly. "It was a very, very bad dog. I shot it," he added helpfully.
"Oh you did? Let me see if this will help a little bit..." She started to gently dab some polysporin on his skin trying to make sure she wasn't rubbing in dirt or anything else. Then his words soaked in and she looked up at him pausing in her help.
"A dog? You don't mean...a Cerberus...Fluffy?" She trembled slightly and the tears threatened. Oh God her poor Fluffy baby...She stood straight, she wasn't going to help Dean anymore if he'd hurt Fluffy. That poor creature had stuck it's neck out for her when Bubbles had gotten frisky.
"Look...what's happened...it's all crazy...and those poor creatures can't help being starved and angry...I just want to get away from here before things get any worse. Do you think the boat can get us far away enough from the island?"

Fluffy? That horrifying thing had a name?
"W-well," he managed, welcoming the change of subject, "I suppose it depends on how much gas it's got, and rations of course and a GPS would be nice and -" he stopped, realizing he was babbling.
"Gas I can understand, but if worse comes to worse I think we can split without rations or the GPS. We can...I dunno navigate via the stars and sun or whatever and if we can get to another island we can probably forage or whatever until we find civilization...or eat fish...something....anything even death at sea is better then staying and being ripped apart by...." She let out a sob and then had to spend a few moments gasping in air and trying to calm down.
God it seemed all she did lately was swallow air and try to keep her heart from jumping out of her chest. Don't be afraid, that was all the advice she'd gotten and she was trying really hard. How could she be anything but afraid of a situation this horrible?

She looked at him after a moment and then sighed softly.
"I...I'm sorry...this is all just...my job has been to care for and feed and ensure the well being of these creatures. I never imagined this...obviously." She rubbed the bridge of her nose a moment before tossing her braid back over her shoulder.
"Should we wait and see if anyone else makes it? I'd really like to try and leave as soon as possible, maybe we should try checking the gas and...then..." She knew how bad it sounded, but they couldn't just sit here and wait, who knew who was alive out there.

...and then there was a quiet pawing at the door. Of course the beast couldn't get in, but it smelled something it recalled rather harshly going this way. Bless that strong sense of sent he had being a dog.
Sadly, he couldn't find a way in the building and no amount of pawing seemed to open anything. So instead a few sharp barks were offered as the Cerberus slunk around the building idly. But he was still rather cross and out to kill a certain human.

Dean blanched.
"But I shot it."
He looked out a window, after ensuring that the door was still securely locked.
"I shot it." This last was nearly a choked sob. "It bit me. Why do dogs always bite me?" He continued muttering, wandering deeper into the boathouse and bumbling onto the boat.
Chris stopped the 4 Wheeler a bit away from the boathouse and just kind of stared. There was a big dog creature by the boathouse. Why wasn't anything easy?! He was bleeding out and only had a 4 wheeler for protection. If he survived this, he would never tell anyone that he practically slammed his forehead on the 4 wheeler handle and almost whimpered. The only good thing was, there was probably someone inside since the dog was there.
After a second when the dog wasn't as close to the door, he moved to 4 wheeler quickly over to the door and knocked hurriedly. "Please, please let me in!" He really hoped there was someone inside.
