She gritted her teeth through hot, angry tears, trying desperately to stitch the bear back together again. "Sorry....so sorry...why...sorry," she sobbed guiltily as she worked. She wished it was someone else who had destroyed the bear, but it was always her that ripped it apart. It always felt like someone else had done it. She never felt like herself when she got that way. Turning on the things she cared for was not something she was proud of, nor was the reason she was stuck with the bear. She sobbed harder as she thought of her sister, of the family she had abandoned as they were torn to pieces. She hated being reminded of it. She hated the world. She had to put an end to this anger. She had to find the skinwalker who had destroyed her family and her life.
She stitched the arm back on the teddy bear, and then each of the eyes. They were always the first things to go, as if the bear had seen to much. Really she just hated how it stared at her with those shining and judgemental eyes, reminding her of that horrible day. If only those eyes could have seen the skinwalker who did the deed, because she herself had not seen. Or perhaps her mind had blocked it out. Either way, no matter how hard she tried she could not recall anything other than the blood and the ugly bear upon the earth.

The pale colored batwalker looked around at her surroundings, seeing nothing that intrigued her in the slightest. She was bored and needed someone to toy with and give them nightmares of her evil. This was the sort of walker that she was, a psychological walker, one who enjoyed killing their minds first before tasting their blood. It amused her more. But, it had taken her sometime to become this type of evil, for when she was first cursed she had no control over herself, and she remembers small flashes of random bloodbaths, killing multiples in one go. There were times she still wanted to go back to those ways, but Neva held herself together. She could not destroy her family fully if all she went for was the physical body. No. That would never do. Her ears twitched, bringing her out of her thoughts as she heard the sounds of someone crying. "Mmm, sweet, sweet crying. Maybe, I can make it all better for them." The corners of her mouth curled into a sinister smile as she turned in the direction of the crying. She couldn't wait to play with her newest victim.

A new scent upon the breeze made her pause in her messy stitching and sobbing. Her orange eyes narrowed as she sampled the air. She would know that smell anywhere. It had a stench of death and dried animal pelt that could only mean one thing. A walker. She growled furiously. How dare it approach during her weakened state. But if there was one thing she knew about them, it was that they didn't care about an even and clean fight. They were messy, disgusting creatures and she would be thankful if she could rid the world of each and every one of them. With a furious spin, she took off running towards the approaching beast, swerving slightly into the trees to come up by its side and catch it by surprise. She hadn't had the pleasure of meeting any quite yet. She had only followed and watched a few of them. But with each observation she hated them more and more. Her race hated them already, that was in her blood, but what they had done to her made it even worse.
This one would get it. She was tired of waiting and watching. But first she would ask it where the skinwalker was who destroyed her family.

Her sensitive ears heard the sounds of the crying stop, and soon the sounds of hoofbeats coming towards her. Neva was not about to lose the advantage and so started her transformation into a bat, and as she completed, she flew into a nearby bush to wait for the mare to go by first.
Neva enjoyed having the advantage, coming up from behind, startling them. Having one come head on just was not as much fun. Not fun at all for this psychological killer. She saw her victim coming, a green kalona mare it looked. Mmm kalona's were always so much fun to play with. Their pride as kalona's always amused her, even before she became cursed. Lets see how much she could toy with this one.

Where are you? Where are you, you scum....Her amber eyes searched the area as she was becoming fully aware that her opponent had the advantage. She was sure the walker had transformed already and that it was waiting to attack. She cursed herself for being so hasty and backed into the shadows, awaiting the inevitable beating that was sure to come. "Well, come on then. Come out and play you waste of skin!" she snarled, searching for any sign of movement upon the earth.
The anger that was welling up within her was almost painful. As she waited in the shadows for the beast to find her, she stewed in her hate and guilt. It fueled her desire to rip something apart, and she could only hope that it was a young walker so that she might have the upper hand in killing it. Usually she asked walkers questions first, but this walker had caught her in a moment of shame and had intruded on her privacy at a time that her head was not completely clear. No, today she wanted blood.pippi18848 Sorry for the late reply!

Neva watched the mare back off, and so she too took off up into the sky as a bat, keeping silent as she flew past her victim to get behind her. Keeping in the shadows she transformed back into her full size and gave a maniacal laugh that rang through the area.
"Play? You want to play little one? Why you're nothing more than a little bug and I don't play with bugs. I prefer squashing them instead." Her voice carried in the shadows, quiet and threatening. First she would toy with this mare, and then attack. She really enjoyed playing with others minds.
"Did the little bug lose their way home? Shouldn't you be with your mother?"

"The likes of you murdered my mother," she spat, her voice cracking. She hated skinwalkers. Hated them. They always knew how to hit the nerve right away. But she wouldn't let it get to her this time. She had to get some information out of this horrible being before she attacked it. "Did you know her? My mother?" she snarled, looking around for the source of the walker's voice.
She could tell it was a female, but she smelled different than the usual cat or wolf walker. "Where are you?" she yelled, wanting to know why this walker's scent was odd and yet slightly familiar.

Neva picked up on the slight crack of the mare's voice, and she knew she had already gotten to her, gotten into her head and it delighted her greatly.
"Your mother? Let me think, I have killed many others in my past, maybe if you could describe her to me, I might remember." The batwalker taunted, enjoying the way this mare was behaving.
"You should come and find me, unless you're to scared to face your fear..."

"I don't fear you, I hate you," Chloris said, her voice a low hiss. She knew better than to take the skinwalker's challenge. She needed answers first. "My mother was a strong, beautiful kalona, you would do well to remember her. I saw her fight against you. She got a few good hits in before you ended her life," she growled. She tried not to think about it too much. The guilt welled within her. While her family was being ripped to shreds, she had hidden and watched. Surely if she had tried to help she would have died as well, but the shame of it caused tears to well in her eyes.

"My aren't you a weak little thing if all you could do was watch since you claim you saw me. But how could you have seen me, if you don't even know if I am that same skinwalker? You haven't even tried to find me yet." Neva laughed, a chilling laugh as she knew for a fact that she was the one who had killed this mare's mother. There hadn't been many kalonas she had gone after.
"You could have saved her you know. But you, poor little weak kalona couldn't risk her own neck to save her mother's. Such a shame. She was so disappointed in you for being a coward, being scared. I remember her saying as she fell how pathetic her one daughter was for not being there to help her." The batwalker was looking forward to playing with her mind, this would be a great enjoyment for her.

She couldn't hold it in any longer. The anger and guilt that were bottled up inside her were enough to make her explode. And this was the walker she had been searching for. This was the walker that had ended her family's life, had put a stop to Chloris' way of living. This was the walker who had filled the kalona with so much guilt and hatred, so much disgust for the world. Leaving her ugly teddy bear behind, she pushed forward from the shadows screaming. She hadn't defended them when it was most important. She hadn't been there for them when it mattered. But she could avenge their deaths now. One skinwalker at a time she was going to avenge her family. But first she would start with this one. The one who had ruined everything. She couldn't say she was surprised it was this walker. Her voice was similar in her nightmares. But even if it weren't, even if this were not the walker, she was going to end them all...or die trying.
She ran towards the walker, knowing it was not an intelligent thing to do. But if she died, her pain would be over. She would be with her family again. She would be free of guilt and free of this horrible world. But she wouldn't die without a fight.
