Luxor decided to take a step away from preparations for the carnival tonight, to get some patrolling in. He knew he needed to keep up with patrols, and that probably meant he needed to start doing them. And beyond just the grounds of his carnival, which seemed busy enough.
He was at the outskirts of town, looking around slowly. He wished he had a coat, or at least some pockets for his hands, or something. He was not too fond of his skirt and leather strap combo as Luxor, thinking that it did not really count as a costume. And he had learned that most other knights had an interesting item to fight with. Some useless, maybe.
But what good was a glove?
He sighed, looking around, not sure what he was supposed to be looking for. That bad feeling, that chaos thing. He was trying to feel for it but he was still trying to get used to it all, and it was sometimes hard to pick it out what was close and what wasn't, and which feeling meant was.
He sighed and decided to sit down on a bench. A bus stop, but no buses were running. He did not feel like he was being lazy, but just gathering his thoughts and trying to decide where to begin.

Leucite did not often venture beyond the city proper. You ran a better chance of finding targets in the more populated areas closer to the heart of the city. But as of the last few fights he'd been in had been in and around that area - he figured it was time for a change of scenery. Which is why he now had some poor soul pressed up against the wall and was draining them for all they were worth. They had a pizza too, which Leucite was going to partake of as soon as they were unconscious. Dropping the body, he picked up the pizza box and stole a slice, walking around with box in one hand, and pizza in the other. He pinged his radar, as he walked out of the alley and ran smack dab into a hit. Blinking, he looked down the street at the half naked man sitting at the bus stop. "Oh you have to be shitting me," Leucite groaned and took another bite of pizza. Oh he was going to finish the damn slice he had - no way was he gonna start a fight before then - he'd not eaten dinner yet and he was starved.

Luxor felt that strange little tingling feeling in the back of his head that told him that there was someone else in the area. A Negaverse soldier, maybe, if he had his auras sorted. He had felt three different types of chaos ones now, and he was starting to be able to differentiate between them. The power levels still confused him, though.
It was a slow process, and he mostly hoped he would never feel all the different ones, and could live a fairly unharrassed life.
Except tonight.
He got up from the bench and turned to see the source of the aura standing not too far off, eating something. Pizza? He frowned and moved toward the Nega, not taking too long to spot the drained person nearby. Luxor was not wholly familiar with their process, or how or why they drained energy, but he knew that it was not a good thing for them to have stolen from them.
"What are you doing? What did you do to him?" He growled, his temper flaring. He was not the most patient, and seeing someone laying on the ground, possibly hurt or worse, did little to help him keep calm.

Leucite stopped mid bite as the knight got up and started to move towards him. Sighing a little at the question, he dropped the box and help up a single finger. He took a moment to finish what was left of the slice of pizza before rolling his shoulders. "Well, up until you interrupted me I was eating." Leucite said motioning toward the box of pizza on the ground. "It's not like we always get a break to eat you know - gathering energy is hefty work."Upon the mention of the poor sod passed out and slumped over on the ground he shrugged. "I just drained him of his energy. He's not dead - just won't be moving for awhile. We're not out to harm the people we're trying to protect - but that protection comes with a price. Sometimes it even comes with a sacrifice."A slight grin moved across his features as he spoke. "Much like the mundane government, we impose a tax on those we protect - a tithe even, if you will. To keep them safe from your kind - all we ask in return is some of their energy. To those who we deem - less desirable..." He made a vague hand gesture. "Sometimes we ask for just a little more, and so we take a starseed, or two, or three..."During his monolog, he'd allowed his body to slip into a defensive stance, ready for the knight to spring at him at any moment. "But you really don't care about any of that do you? You just want to kick my a** right? Well come on then - I don't have all night to deal with you, I have s**t I want to do.""You know - like your girlfriend and your sister."Blind stab in the dark - he didn't know if the other man had a sister or a significant other. But cuts were cuts.

Luxor watched with a bland expression as the Negaverse Lieutenant, if that was what they were called, finished his pizza. He was not sure what to think of the scene, knowing the pizza was pilfered and someone had to have suffered for it. He doubted someone dressed like that could just walk into a pizza store.
And anyway, where would he keep money to pay for it? If they were anything like Luxor himself, anything they had on them as a civilian just... vanished while they were powered up.
"I didn't mean to interrupt you eating," he said, though he had indeed meant to do just that. And he had meant to interrupt any further damage this chaos soldier meant to do.
"So you consider yourself politicians?" He scoffed, "that's not the best comparison to make, considering. But I guess it's not important. It seems like you will say anything to justify your point. I don't really care to hear it, no." He didn't rise to the bait, though it might have been because he was impossible to insult sometimes. He hid his emotions well, if only because he knew his temper was so bad that if he let it go unchecked he'd do something he regretted.
"Then let's fight." He cracked his knuckles and shifted his position, then charged at Leucite. He was fast and light on his feet from his acrobat training.

Oh, oh thank god, someone who actually had the stones to fight. This pleased Leucite to no end - laughing happily as the other man charged at him, and then charging him as well, wanting to meet him head on. His right fist was already swinging up from his hip toward the other man's gut, his left held up prepared to block an incoming strike if need be. No more words - now was the time for action. To let their bodies do the talking. It was glorious.

Luxor grunted in pain when the fist met his stomach, leaning forward in pain but not letting himself double over all the way. Instead, he let his instincts take over, hands lashing out to grab hold of Leucite's shoulders.
The Page needed to get some distance and better gauge his opponent, who seemed to be a capable fighter. Luxor assumed that anyone that felt like they were on the same level as he was, were also on the same schedule. Meaning, he thought that if someone else was a first stage like he was, they were new to this whole thing. That was obviously not true, and he should have known better than to think something so simple.
Some people were born to fight. It seemed that was what a Negaverse Soldier was required to be. Luxor could not afford to underestimate them further.
He leaped into the air by pushing down on Leucite's shoulders and leaping, hauling himself up and over, doing a bit of a handstand for a moment before landing behind the Nega. It was clumsy, and he didn't have enough momentum to launch an attack from there, instead just whirling around in an effort to drag his arms up and gather his bearings.

Leucite had to give this guy his due. He could take a punch, and keep going - that was more than he could say of some of the others he had fought, but then - maybe they just didn't know what fighting actually meant. Luxor was only half right - the Lieutenant was new to all of this - to fighting a war for the safety of the planet - but what he did not lack, was knowing how to FIGHT. But that was more a personal choice than anything else. What had really impressed him about the other man however, was the flip the man had done using Leucite's own body. Spinning around quickly, he brought up his guard again and allowed the man a little space. He was not really looking forward to fighting someone if they were going to bring out the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon level BS Kung Fu. But he'd be damned if he was going to run away like a sissy. He wasn't one of THEM. With a smirk he nodded his head in respect to the other man. "Bravo - I'm impressed. But can you do it again?"This time he darted forward, then dropped down, sweeping his leg towards the other man's as he planted a hand down on the ground to keep from falling on his own a**. A risky move, but if it knocked his opponent down. Well then the ground game could begin.

"I could do this all day," Luxor said, his tone bland and almost leisurely. He was usually stone cold, calm and impossible to read, except when his emotions got the better of him. And usually that emotion, the only one strong enough to break through his walls, was anger.
When he got angry, he went in to a blind, Hulk rage.
He saw the Lieutenant charging him and grunted as the other man's kick connected with his leg. He fell backwards, momentum against him, but he was able to twist and land with his palms down, as if he were going to do a very complicated and ill advised push up. Instead, he rocked back on his arms and pulled his body toward him, so he could lash out at Leucite with a kick of his own.
They were both low to the ground now, so it would be a bit of a brawl, but Luxor was not going to go down without a real fight.

"s**t," Leucite grunted, feeling other man's kick lash out and sweep him off his own feet. Rolling quickly, he scrambled up and spun, lashing out a few more quick snap kicks at the other male. They wouldn't have as much force as a normal kick, as he was trying to snap off as many as he could before the other man could come to his senses. He was hoping to keep him off his feet if he could, he wanted this to stay on the ground if he could help it, he was hoping to pin the other male and just... have his way with him. With his fists that is.

Luxor was not interested in letting himself become overwhelmed. Muscular and strong, training for years before he had ever become a senshi, he was at least physically fit enough to keep his guard up and to push through the pain.
But he couldn't keep fighting, not for too much longer.
He needed a way out, and he needed to make sure the Negaverser didn't just walk off and continue what he was up to. So he needed to find something to use in his own defense. When in doubt, grab as heavy a weapon as possible and smash in a head with it.
As far as killing went, it was not something luxor had thought about yet. He would be prepared to do it if he needed to, to defend himself or his home, or maybe something else if he did come to believe in this whole thing a bit more than he did right now. He had seen terrible things enough already, and that made him know that going easy on an opponent would just leave room for them to go and hurt someone else.
Pulling himself away from Leucite as best he could, he struggled to clear his vision and get a good look around. He needed something heavy, anything, to swing as hard as he could.

Leucite growled as the knight tried to disengage from combat. He wasn't one to usually let his prey escape - but he'd given a good showing, enough to prove he had the chops to be on the streets. Still, it would be a shame to let him come back and haunt him later. If he was patrolling this part of town, who knew where else Leucite would have to go to gather energy unopposed? He did allow the knight some breathing room though - Leucite could fight dirty when the situation warranted, but right now, he didn't feel that it was required to win the fight. Besides, it seemed like had Luxor on the ropes.. Maybe it was time to engage in more of that banter he'd heard often happened between the sides when they fought. They had had a nice back and forth going earlier. "I don't think I caught your name. Mine is Leucite. I just want to know who it is I am about to kill."

"My name is Luxor."
There was a stick of some sort, he did not know if it was wooden or metal or what, but it was something that was heavy enough for him to get his hand around it and lift it with a bit of heft. He was going to use it, not above fighting dirty, either. He was not a killer, not as far as he knew, but he was not going to let someone get the better of him on one of his first patrols out.
"And I don't think you'll be killing anyone tonight."
He hauled the stick up. It wasn't too long and certainly not the most intimidating weapon, but being able to strike out with anything was still way better than his empty fist, glove or not. He charged and did his best to be fast and sudden, swinging for Leucite's head.
It was definitely not a move he would be proud of later, but then, there was no pride in a fight like this.

Lithia_Brandon YOU HAVE HIS GRUDGING RESPECT LUXOR! GG Leucite had not expected the knight to bring a stick into the fight. Most times he'd seen their weapons be next to useless so he could understand why. His own was barely sufficient to cause more than a minor annoyance at best. He did not have the time to summon it as the other man lunged at him. He barely got his guard up as it was, taking the full brunt of the swing against his left wrist. He heard the crack of the wood against the bone of his wrist and felt the pain bloom out suddenly from the spot it had struck, racing down his entire arm in a very familiar sensation. Yeah, he wasn't going to be fighting much more tonight - or for awhile. Stumbling back, he dropped his guard and cradled his arm against his body, hissing as he tried to get the spots to go away. He kept backing away from Luxor, not wanting to take another actual hit from the man. "T-touche... I misjudged you - that won't happen again." He was not going to be able to fight with a broken wrist - he made sure to get a good look at Luxor's face so he'd remember him. "You win this round - but next time I will remember, and you will die."With that, Leucite turned, arm held close to his body and he fled, jumping up to the closest rooftop to try and get some distance. If Luxor gave chase - he'd deal with it, but for now he needed to go and lick his wounds.

Torvil LUXOR HULK SMASH YOUR WRIST. They seem like they could be fun rivals! Luxor hear something crack, but he could not discern if it was the Negaverse soldier's wrist, or the now very broken stick that he had to toss away because it was rendered useless. It had done its job, though, one good hit that he could work with if he had to. It gave him a bit of an advantage to capitalize on and that was all he needed.
Not even footing: he needed to be ahead or he would easily be over taken by the Chaos soldier's power. They, it seemed, were built for brawling, while the White Moon were inconveniently made up for peace keeping.
The barely clothed Luxor felt like he was getting all the short straws here, in the powered being ability and usefulness department.
It seemed he had done more damage than he thought, though, and he relaxed as the Nega took off a fled, not giving chase. The other had put up a good fight and had taken most of Luxor's wind from him: he was not sure if he even had it in him to give chase and was glad he did not have to try. He waited for a moment before leaning forward, resting his hands on his knees and taking a moment to gather his breath. Everything hurt, and the worst part about this outfit was everyone would be able to see his bruises the next time he went on patrol.
Hopefully he would not run into this Nega again.
