She tried to walk with an aura of calm and authority around her. Tried being the key word. She was tall and slender, and she moved with the grace of someone who had grown to tall to fast, and had to learn to not be gangly and awkward. It hid the fact that she was doing her best to stomp down nerves. She had awoken as a Page some time ago... But her introduction to the galactic secret war the government painted as terrorism had not been a gentle one.
Murders and broken bones had been her christening, and she tried to take her new found responsibilities, this power that had called to her in the face of the corrupt being Avalon, with grace. In truth it terrified her, but there was nothing she could do about it. She couldn't ignore it. When she did it became a restless ache that would slowly take over her thoughts. Sometimes the candle lantern would even appear, shining with deceptively soothing light, begging her to take it up in her hand. For a while she had resisted it... The second time she had taken up the power, had been against Natron... She suppressed thoughts of that meeting with a shudder... The third time she had, cornered in the dark, she had met another Knight, who had called himself Camelot. He had told her he was a Knight like her.
Only he wasn't like her. He hadn't been defenseless. He had been fearless and brave, and strong. He had saved her from another horrible beating. And she harbored no delusions, that if these... these Negaverse agents wanted to kill her, they probably could. But... Camelot had been doing what he does, protecting the people of destiny city for years. He had experience.
And the only way to gain experience was to fight. She was Eden. And it was her job to protect people. Which meant she needed to get to a point were she wasnt one of the people needing protection. She gripped the metal handle of her lantern tighter, the little hinged caged at its end swinging, causing the flame to flutter widely, casting odd shadows across the brick storefronts of down town. Surely she would recognize another supernatural being... It should be fairly simple to tell a knight from an agent of chaos.
Ripping starseeds out? Probably a nega. Helping an old lady cross the street? Probably not a nega.
Simple.... right?

Persephone was definitely feeling very lucky that she'd escaped that crazy carnival with her starseed - and, you know, her life in general - intact. She wasn't even all that beaten up. This was a good week so far!
Her footsteps were light on the ground, and she was actually humming a little as she walked. (That lovely new Fall Out Boy song was permanently stuck in her head, it seemed.) She paused for a moment when she felt an energy signature that seemed both oddly familiar and very strange. It reminded her of the man at the carnival, the one she had seen fighting Benitoite. She paused and the humming stopped, as she turned to find the source. It looked to be a girl not all that much older than her, wearing a very sparkly outfit and holding a candle on a stick.
Persephone tilted her head to the side, shrugged, and walked over, waving. "Hey there!" She greeted. "Being that candle in the dark, hmm?" She said, her voice a little playful.

Eden stopped dead in her tracks at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. A happy bouncy voice but a strangers voice none the less. She watched as the girl approached her. She didn't feel like a normal person... but she didn't look like a negaverse agent either. " ... Hello " At the girls exuberance a smile slowly slid up her face. " You could say that. "
She pause, she shifted the grip of her lantern in her hands, freeing one so she could brush some of that crazy-long hair back over one ear. " You know, its really not safe to be out here this late... ' She frowned slightly, her brows furrowing in concern. She almost forgot that this girl practically had a flashing neon sign over her head that said Not a normal human!! And the cloths were sort of a give away... but she really didn't look anything like the only other knight she met.
Granted neither did she. So she decided to take a risk. The girl hadn't jumped her and wasn't ripping any starseeds out of anyone, so maybe she was indeed on the side of good. ' I'm Eden... Are you a knight? " She was being much more forward then normal, but she felt that her track record leaned heavily in the favor of getting her a** kicked, so she thought she had earned a right to be a little more forward then was polite.

Persephone laughed a little. "Yeah, I...know exactly how unsafe it is." Almost unconsciously, she touched her chest. Her ribs were healing nicely, and she had been lucky - not too much undue strain on them, so they hadn't been reinjured. She was even a good girl and kept them wrapped most of the time, though that wasn't practical in her powered form.
"I'm Sailor Persephone; not a Knight, no," she blinked a little and tilted her head to the side. "I'm a Senshi, though, and we're on the same side, so there's that," she remembered Tsui mentioning Knights, but she didn't know much more about them. Still, anyone with a sparkly rainbow uniform and iridescent hair clearly had to be on the right side.
It almost bothered her how blatantly uniforms in this war conformed, generally, to the color rules of light/white = good and black/dark = evil. Ah well, at least it made the sides easy to tell apart!

" Nice to meet you Sailor Persephone ' A sailor? Did she have a boat? Did this war extend onto the sea as well? She was a fairly good swimmer but she was pretty sure whatever good she has wouldn't translate well into the water. For crying out loud her laughable excuse for a weapon was a little candle powered lantern. " I'm Eden "
A look of extreme confusion flickered across her face. " A Senshi? " The word even sounded foreign and bizarre. Her body language relaxed a little bit, Persephone had confirmed that they were on the same side... and she did believe it. She couldn't envision Persephone killing innocent bystanders. " Whats the difference between a Senshi and a Knight....? " In all honesty she hadn't even know there was a name to what she was when she had first powered up.
Seriously... A superhero was a superhero right? What was the difference?

Persephone blinked. "Eden. That's a pretty name." She said. "Do you have a special title or anything?" Did Knights have ranks like Senshi? She was sure they did. Not that she knew a whole ton about Knights.
She tilted her head to the side. How to explain the difference? "I'm...not really sure, but...like, you have that cute lantern," she gestured, "and Senshi definitely don't have anything like that. And um...I...don't really know beyond that. All I know is that I have a planet." A dead planet, and she hated to think about that for too long. All it did was make her sad. She wondered how many people had lived on it - was it populated, when everything died? And...if there had been people, what had happened to them?
Too many questions that she didn't even want the answer to.

" Oh! Yes, I am a Page. " She said with a nod, remember what Camelot had tried to enplane to her about the ranks. Really all she knew was that she was at the bottom of the totem pole. She had no magic to speak off, and basically she should just try and not get killed, and help civilians if she could.
So far she has succeeded in not getting killed, but just barely.
Eden made a little " o " with her mouth " Ooooh wow, a whole planet? That's amazing! " Her brain started going wild with possibilities. She has no idea the planet was dead, the senshi was alive, so she figured if she "had" a planet, then it was probably alive to. In her civilian life she was a Botanical sciences student, and she practically wriggled like a happy puppy at the thought of a whole world of new plants that had yet to be seen.
" You know... I have never really met another Senshi before... Just Negaverse agents and a knight. Do you mind if I pick your brain a little bit, there is just so much about all of this that I don't know. " She gestured with her empty hand, her long sleeve kind of flapping around. She gave the green haired girl a friendly smile, and then with a complete disregard to personal space, linked an arm with hers.
The rest of that evening was spent with a blessedly uneventful stroll, with poor Persephone trying to inform a very curious Eden in on all of the workings of the current war, and the differences between senshi ( apparently several kinds of senshi ) negaverse agents, knights, and apparently space cats the best she could.
