The whole family actually has some musical talent and it’s pretty great when Penny isn’t mad at me and want to get together to play a few songs. We used to always be close, I was her cool big brother and she was my tiny little princess I had to protect. We didn’t need anything but each other. In middle school when I started a band with a few of my friends I guess she was a little jealous that I stopped playing with her. I was too busy with homework and that band. I still played a song or two with her on the days that the boys weren’t over for band practice but she still didn’t like that I had spent more time with them. I guess that’s when everything started to get bad between us. And I got worse when she got older. When I was seventeen and she was just fourteen Penny started getting into trouble. She started hanging around boys more and being kind of flirtatious. I didn’t like it; I’ve hit too many guys for saying something about her I didn’t like or just for hurting her and breaking her heart. She started hanging out with some of the guys in my band too. Mainly with the drummer and after a while I just got irritated with it. I guess she stayed of trouble for a few years after that. They went out for a few years but when they broke up recently she just started all the trouble again. By this time my mom and dad were gone. And I guess everything was making her a little depressed. So I decided it was time for a move and to put my dream of having my own band and having a job with music would have to wait for now. ℓıĸεs →xoxo❥ The Summer

He was always the coolest with the guitar and I loved hearing him sing. I used to always want to be with him because he was so cool then. He could pick up any instrument and play it. And I was really jealous since I couldn’t. I always tried to get him to teach me something on the guitar. Everything was great till he got together with those stupid boys in their band. He ignored me a lot then and I was stuck by myself mainly sitting in the kitchen with my mom while she cooked. I complained to her a lot about the boys but all she would say is “Penny, Kenny needs to have friends from school too. Maybe you should try to make some new friends.” And that’s what I tried to do. I went to school for days trying to find a girl my age that was “cool” enough to hang out with. But a lot of the girls were too girly or just didn’t like me. So on the rare days when Kenneth’s band didn’t come over I just asked him to hang out with me. I kept doing that till I was fourteen about to start high school. I had met a really pretty girl who decided she wanted to talk to me. Her name was Penelope too and she always hung out with people older than her. Not the kind that most parents would want their kids around either. She was really into smoking and drinking. And since I wanted this chick to think I was cool enough to hang out with I decided I was too. Kenneth didn’t like it he didn’t like her either. He’d always tell me to stop hanging around people like that but I didn’t listen. Then after a while I started acting just like her. I would flirt with any guy or girl I wanted, I’d break hearts, get my own heart broken, and act a lot like something I wasn’t. Then by the time Penelope moved and I had the worst reputation around school I didn’t know what to do. I tried acting like the real me but the “friends” I made just thought I was a loser then. So I went back to hanging out with Kenny. He wasn’t too happy about it at first, especially after I started dating the drummer of his band. He was a nice guy and we dated till I was out of high school. I didn’t take the break up well. I had just lost my mom and dad in an accident, he guy who kept saying he was going to marry me one day broke my heart and went after one of the girls I used to hang out with, and my stupid brother kept giving me “I’m so sorry” looks when the band would come over. So I had enough of it, I went back to my old ways for a while. I cried more and hated everything. And then one day Kenny told me we were moving and that he quit his band. When I asked why he would just say, “We need a new start kiddo.” I liked the idea. No one would know me and we didn’t have to tell anyone about how I acted before. ℓıĸεs →xoxo❥ Singing.
