"Mimsy," Kostya said, a light in his eyes but face neutral, beckoning to her with two curled fingers. She would know him well enough to know that it meant the world from him, the tranquillity in his body language, loose-limbed and free. "Come, I miss outside already, all these vite valls."
He tapped the Tamagotchi device that housed his weapon. "Did not use him for much, only for clearing debris. Am needing practise. For..." The Russian hummed to himself, searching for the words, tongue pressing against the back of his teeth. "Stretching of wings, da?"

Mimsy dropped her pen with a start at the sound of someone calling her.
She'd had far past her fill of new social interactions, and was not used to hearing that come from the mouth of someone who deserved to know her name. Really, there were quite a lot of things said to her now that she would rather not be said at all, but didn't exactly know how to approach that and emerge with optimal results. Connections could be such needless effort.
<Ooh yes, stretch da our wingsing!> Svensyl urged, and as much as she wanted to deny him the pleasure, as much as she didn't want to admit that she had a friend--
She looked at him and couldn't say no.
"Fine," she conceded. "Sure. Okay." All those white walls were comfortable, and as curious as she was, 'outside' was far better when examined and dissected within the confines of the world she knew best.
Welcome back, she didn't say, but Svensyl was still full of delight at just the thought.

"Izvinite," he says automatically, clasping his arms behind his back, stopping just short of standing at attention. He remembers that it is just Mimsy, ally and kindness instead of a sir or madam demanding his utmost attention.
He would willingly give it, without hesitation-- but Mimsy got that and more from him without trying. Respecting Mimsy was paramount.
Her acquiescence may have read as reluctant to anyone but him, but Kostya knew that Mimsy agreeing to do anything outside of her directive was rare. That was her design.
Quietly, he tread the halls till they got to the training fields, content to revel in the companionable silence. There were no questions as to what her expectations were: Mimsy would verbalize any requests she had. He turned his face up at the sun, wishing not for the first time that his existence was as simple as that of a plant's.
Summoning Syntax without a word, the Moon trainee nodded his head politely at Mimsy, deferring to her for the first strike.
The alpha ate first.

After carefully tucking her work away, Mimsy walked alongside Kostya towards the training fields, giving the white walls a contented look for the duration of their existence on their trip. The light outside almost hurt her eyes, in spite of the fog that filtered the sun, and it took a moment to adjust. She rubbed her eyes and began to realize that if this didn't signify friendship, she didn't know what did. He offered an invitation for her to strike first, and her thumb thoughtfully brushed Svensyl's hilt in response. This was uncommon; she typically avoided combat as much as she possibly could, which tended to put her in defensive positions, not offensive. But this...felt kind of good. Powerful. She nodded back and lightly struck the weapon on his arm, wordlessly ensuring that he was ready. Svensyl chirped an excited hello to Syntax that she did not relay. HP: 40/40 DMG: 2

Syntax's response to Svensyl's appearance was a burst of emoticons wrapped in 8-bit encouragements, and if he had had arms he would have been waving them wildly.
The blade sliced against his shield, and he nodded once in reply, an acknowledgement of the challenge started. Syntax chittered in excitement, happier to play with Svensyl than Kostya was content to spar.
It was not quite cold enough to be a good day, but he enjoyed it nonetheless.
Kostya fired a blast, blue and white electricity arcing through the air.
