Survival on the island is up to YOU. Scattered across various places in the damaged Wonder Park are small pockets of hope, weapons that you can try to reach in order to increase your survivability. These are often extremely risky to take and carry. Items are classified into the types below. All weapons are first come first serve. A reminder that while items are important and may save you, carrying too many will slow you down, and decrease your escape roll chance!
Weapons available: All weapons are classified by allowing you to gain attack power, but are difficult to find. They are of limited supply and may break. - Handgun They seem to be everywhere but none of them are standardized meaning the bullets for each one is frustratingly different. This one is loaded only with half ammo. You can fire three shots from the handgun. Each shot does + 3 damage on top of your normal attacks. If the normal attack is result is 0 or negative, the result with the gun is 3. (subtract 1 from your escape rolls for every handgun you carry) - Shotgun A very large, unwieldy gun that is a lot more effective. This gun is loaded only with one shot. You can one shot from the shotgun. Each shot does damage equal to 50% of your opponent's REMAINING HP. (subtract 3 from your escape rolls for every shotgun you carry) - Throwing stars .... Really? Throwing stars are light but extremely difficult to use. You may only use this once. Roll a 6-sided dice. If you roll 1 or 6, you do 10 damage to your opponent. Otherwise, you do nothing. This takes up a turn. (subtract 1 from your escape rolls for every set of throwing stars you carry)
Healing Items available: All healing items are classified by their ability to heal a player. These can be found in a number of areas and are of limited supply. - Polysporin This will prevent at least the infection of wounds and help your wounds heal faster. You may use this up to three times on whomever. Each use heals you +5 HP (subtract 1 from your escape rolls for every polysporin you carry) - Ice pack This helps ease the pain and bruising. Phew. You may use this unlimited times. As long as you carry it, every single 24 OOC hours that pass will heal your character for +5 HP. It can only heal the person carrying it. You can use this indefinitely until discarded. Does not stack. (subtract 3 from your escape rolls for every icepack you carry) - Medkit Painkillers, gauze, a needle, thread, and anti-septic needed to treat a severe wound. You may use this once. It will heal you for 15 HP. (subtract 2 from your escape rolls for every medkit you carry)
Defensive Items available: The most common type of item. These ones may spare you from otherwise terrible damage or ward off enemies or even camouflage you for a bit. They may also break easily. - Chains Chains will slow an enemy down. If you fail to roll to escape, roll a 20-sided dice again. If you roll 5 or higher, you manage to escape! . You can only use this once. (subtract 2 from your escape rolls for every chain you carry) - Pair of Shoes It's a pretty decent pair of shoes. Maybe you can run faster with these. Your equipment load feels lighter. (add +1 to escape rolls.) You can use this indefinitely until discarded. Does not stack. - Kelvar Vest: Not the most comfortable, but b Add +10 permanently to your HP. You can use this indefinitely until discarded. Does not stack. (subtract 2 from your escape rolls for every vest you carry)
SPECIAL ACCESS CARDS: - Occasionally, you may run into a SPECIAL ACCESS CARD. It looks like in the chaos, a high-level staff member has dropped it by accident! Each SPECIAL ACCESS CARD leads only to a specific area. For instance, you may find a SPECIAL ACCESS CARD labelled PARABLE POOL. You will only be able to use it for that location by finding the secret security point.
SECRET SECURITY POINTS: - If you have a special access card and you reach that specific security point, congratulations, you have found a loot and shelter area. This will provide you shelter for 24 IC hours as well as some useful loot, such as attack, healing, and defensive items.

Only part of the men's bathroom remains standing. In the rubble you find the corpse of a staff member named Willy. Looting his corpse yields:
1 kelvar vest 1 handgun 1 PARABLE POOL SPECIAL ACCESS CARD
Groaning from the wild ride, Penelope stood up among the rubble of the bathroom, feeling wet and unclean. She grimaced as she glanced to herself, shaking her head and sending water droplets to the side. "Ugh."
Spotting a person lying on the ground, the woman carefully slid over only to find him dead, and she knelt down to check his pulse. Just to make sure.
"Sorry. Looks like you won't be having much use for these..." Penelope was glad to find that there was a handgun on his person, and she took the kevlar vest, as well.
Looking at his id proved that he used to go by the name of Willy, and flipping through his wallet procured a security card of sorts. The redhead eyed it warily, deciding to take it and shoved the thing in her pocket. It might come in handy... later. Provided she could find the spot to use the card.
The gun was the most useful of all, and Penelope was glad that she had it, pocketing it somewhere safe where it wouldn't go off.
Now it was time to explore.

They'd arrived, and Lydia could only stop and stare at the visitor center. "Really, another one of these?" She arched eyebrows further, than shrugged and entered, hefting her shotgun and keeping an eye out in every direction at once.

Thank God the visiting center wasn't far from their last rest point. Kiera came in and let Lydia do the guns blazing bit as they searched, finding the building quite empty save for one person who had a checkered hat . . . ? Alright then.
Identifying the woman as a guest, Kiera hailed her. "No good being alone on your own now," she told her as they approached, taking her hand and dragging her in the investigation of the building. "Only got one vehicle, but we made it out alright. Kiera Ward, lab tech," she introduced before glancing to Lydia as they walked. "Find anything?"
[ was given permission to move Kanth's character into the group ]
"Not a damn thing." She shook her head, glancing at the new person that Kiera had found. "But it looks like you did. Hey, you alright? We shouldn't stay here...we've been moving around as much as possible and seem to be doing okay." One vehicle could be problematic, however, considering there were three of them and only room for two.
Well...she was sure at least one of them could walk. She had just walked half of the way here, after all.
"We should go. Bring the new girl, if she's willing." She gave Penelope a broad smile. "I'm Lydia, by the way. Welcome to the remains of the mermaid squad."
And with that she turned and made her way back towards where Kiera had parked the 4 wheeler so that they could leave, and maybe, just maybe, find somewhere safe.

Space was a problem, but they'd address that in a moment.
"I'm not about to leave another person behind like that if she's a civvie," Kiera pointed out, though she sighed anyway. Just the two of them had been pretty dependable. More people might cause more fuss, more attention for monsters to find them. "Ah well. We're fast traveling mermaids, so welcome to the boat. Ark, really," she corrected herself with a wan smile.
"We'll talk more on the way over. Let's just get out of here and on the move, that seems safest." She tugged the detective's arm and off they went.
Glenda made quick use of this, kicking the body in the stall so that he weren't lookin'
A lady had her priorities, ok.
Once she'd relieved herself, she did a quick search of the grounds, but didn't really find anything worthwhile - or anyone.

People! More people! That was a relief. She was glad to save the talking until they got to another location, nodding as she was led with the other group. More people meant a better chance of survival. They could look out for each other.

(( Just confirming that I gave permission to move my character <3 Thank you! heart ))
Retching he nearly toppled over as they entered what was left of the building. To tried to search right off the bat he slumped to the ground and took a seat to catch his breath. "....Looks like we're the only ones here.." He commented warily with a glance around, mostly trying to keep himself calm by talking. Shifting back on his elbows to rest he closes his eyes for a brief moment.
After a second he opens his eyes and looks directly at Cora, a sincere look taking over his features as he spoke, "I'm so sorry for getting you to come along." It was all his fault she was there and that was something he would regret until he died. He would never want Cora hurt and now he was the one that put her in danger.

He will be in jeans and a long-sleeved white shirt. Brief Character Profile: Stubborn. Anyone that's met Antonio knows he's a little uneasy around a large number of people, one that prefers to do his job with as minimal talking as necessary after all he's there to do a job not make a friend. While he's a bit of a hard-a** when works involved he is able to cut loose and lay back when the situation for it arrives. He's an observer by nature which can have him coming off a little creepy at times.. well that and his own twisted sense of humor. All in all he's a generally silent sweet man until his temper gets the better of him or his 'inspiration' strikes.

{Enter} Collapsing onto the ground, she breathes in hard as she looks around for any sign that they could very well be in danger even here. Her throat was burning from the need of liquid, and her leg was killing her. This didn't seem to stop her though as she stood slowly, instantly looking around for anything they might be able to use. Anything really, that might be able to help the guys was basically what she was looking for.
After a couple minutes of searching, all she could do was frown when she came up empty handed. Turning towards Tonio, she shakes her head as she kneels down to look him over. He was in bad shape, and that was scaring her more then anything.
Looking over to Les, she chews on her bottom lip as she see he wasn't in the best shape as well. Shaking her head, she chews on her lip as she tries to give Tonio her smile that said she was fine "Its okay Tonio, I'm glad I'm here with you okay? Now...we need to figure out what to do. There is nothing here to protect us...and without anything, were dead meat." she looks to Les.
"Where could we go, to get you and Tonio something that might help you both?"

Ok, twisted ankles hurt to run on. Not as much as dying, surely, which is what kept Lesley moving, but they certainly still hurt.
He was grateful for the chance to stop for a moment, but.. It was a mixed blessing. While he wasn't in pain at that moment, they weren't safe. So, heart hammering in his chest, he searched their immediate area for any signs of movement, or safe places to hide, and finding nothing, gave a rather pained whine.
That he quickly turned into a throat clear. "Um." Real confidence inspiring, that. "Kraken's den."

When both Cora and Les came back with nothing he shook his head, where were all the emergency supplies? Antonio looked to the ground before kneeling Cora caught his attention. "I'm fine." He tried to put on a brave front already knowing she was worried since she wasn't blind.
"You've got a point...we need to keep moving before our own blood lures monsters to us" He turns to them both with a grim look.
Having noticed how the other man was moving, at the whine he looked to Les' foot and wrinkled his brow, "is your leg hurt bad?" Can you keep moving? Looking around he noticed a long piece of wood and pointed it out, "we could fashion a crutch.." Rubbing over his chin, he turns to Cora as he started to get up.
When Les' gave the next destination he paled visibly, "the adorable one I hope" Quickly moving, or at least as quick as he could he managed to pick up the piece of debris for Les', if the man needed it, if not he was the first to peek out then motion the group on out of the building.

Les felt that a crutch would be more a hindrance then a help at this point, so he politely declined. He did however agree that they needed to get the hell out of there, so he was quick to follow Tonio's lead and leave the building.
