Eshan stared at his paws as he made his way along, focusing far too intensely on the subtle patterns the dust settled into on his fur. He had come a long way since he had first set out, and yet he didn't feel like much had been resolved. His brief interlude with the Kizi had still left him feeling empty, their lifestyle was decidedly not what he needed to repair the wounds of his youth. He had heard stories of another group though, a gathering of clans encircled in lands of safety by great mountains. If he could find them, perhaps he could find the answers to his questions. So far he'd found nothing but silence and a the vaguest signs that his presence was not solitary. It had been weeks since he had spoken to another soul, his throat felt tight from disuse. There were nights where he had woken suddenly, wanting to cry out, but no sound passed. To do so in unknown lands would be a greater danger than anything his dreams might throw at him.

Arlo had been out scouting, his heart heavy as his thoughts decided to pause on Tabi'nasi. He still wasn't exactly sure how to work through the developing feelings that she brought on. It wasn't a bad thing, no, this was something he enjoyed. Just... new. Smiling softly at the thought he rolled his turquoise eyes up at the lands.
The mountains that he now called home were glittering beautifully with light. The familiar path where he met the Ela for the first time getting closer, and with it, the strong sent of another lion.
Perhaps a rogue wandered through just as he had? Picking up the pace, Arlo rounded the corner of the path, all but slamming himself into Eshan in the process.

Eshan was hardly aware of the near miss. His eyes lifted, passing through Arlo and on to the mountains that lay beyond. They seemed alive in the daylight, grasses shifting and small creatures scuttling here and there. And then all at once he seemed to become aware of the male's presence. His stance shifted, eyes narrowed, and a harsh sound passed through his throat. It wasn't a growl nor any other sound recognizable, but similar to that of the wind passing through a dying tree.
Cringing he gathered his thoughts and tried again, this time forcing a sound slightly akin to "Hello".

Arlo just stared at the strangers face, not quiet sure what to make of the awkward noise that flowed out of his mouth when he actually did notice his presence. It was something he had not heard before in his life, at least... not something made by a lion.
Blinking slowly a couple times, Arlo waited and attempt to figure out what exactly the stranger had said. After a couple minutes he decided it best to chalk it up to a 'hello'.
Grimacing ever so slightly, Arlo eyed the male not sure what to completely make of him. "Yes, hello.... So. What bring you to our pride?" He assumed he was new, probably a rogue. He had the look about him, then again, perhaps he was a convert? ...Either way.
"I am Arlo, Arlo'Reeshin of the Shadow clan. You are?"
