Two days of rain left fillies and colts indoors, playing board games and drawing instead of running around outside chasing balls or flying kites. Rain also meant slow days for established shops, and the temporary market stalls remained closed due to the lack of customers. Candy Dandy was trapped indoors with her brothers and sister for two whole days, and she felt like her brain was about to explode. She did love her siblings, but there was something about being unable to escape them if there was an argument that set the pink haired filly on edge. So when she woke up on the third day and there was sun, she was the first to eat her breakfast and dash out of the door, splashing in puddles and enjoying the fresh air that still smelled like rain. She found herself in a copse of trees, sitting on the edge and staring back at town, where other phonies were starting to stir.

Blue Eyed Melloon has it really been THAT long!? eek Time flies! Rain meant something else entirely for Spear Mint. He hated the rain... or more so, the rain didn't like him. It made his poor wings itch at the least, and burn from the wetness at the worst. A slight dew he could handle, though... but days of rain were out of the question. So, when the sun came out, he decided it was time to venture forth an... well, see what mischief could be had! He was, as per usual, skimming the edge of the forest, with the town near by. The disfigured flutter preferred to scope out his victims intrigues for the day from agar... Oh, and what a cute one he found today! Spear Mint snuck up on the pink fluff of a babby... "Pst! Hey!" He quietly managed to get to the other side of her... "I said PST!"

Candy thought she heard a noise, but didn't want to miss the world passing by, so she didn't turn around. However, she heard it again, and this time looked over her shoulder to see an odd looking phony right behind her. She jumped nearly a foot in the air and screeched. Her heart was pounding when she realized he was much smaller than herself, and possessed little bug wings. That didn't startle her the most. It was his eyes, tiny black coals in a sea of pink face the color of her mane, "You scared me!" she said, trying not to stare.

"So sorry, so sorry," Spear Mint smiled with a glint in his eyes (really, his eyes were too small for anything else). "What might you be doing this far out? A cute little thing like you." Nevermind mind she was bigger than him, but who was paying attention to the details? "Did you come to play a game? So much rain, lately, surely you wanted to stretch those legs and have a little fun!" Spear Mint pranced around the filly, looking up at her every so often.

EchoLimaFoxtrot I figured he could convince her to play to make her feel better. I think that's what we intended with this. XD She blushed when he called her cute. Given his size, he seemed so much younger than her, though she could say he was close to the same age. She sighed. "I'm not much for a game truth be told." she said, tail wrapped around her hooves. "What with the wet and my siblings, I'm feeling a little glum."

"Awwww," Spear Mint tsked. "Such a shame. You should not be so blue." Obviously, she was pink. Maybe he was a little color blind. It wouldn't be that much of a surprise. "We must turn your frown upside down!" He wasn't the best candidate for making someone smile. Usually, he enjoyed grumbles and squeaks of surprise. Spear Mint wracked his small brain, trying to come up with something. The thing is, he did want to play a 'game' and he needed a second accomplice player. After a long pause, his eyes sparked a little more than usual. "What rhymes with BOO and really stinks?" Spear Mint thought that over, "Oh wait... no, not that one." It wasn't very nice and she looked like a sweet filly. "Here's another one... 'I bet you bring everyone a lot of joy... when you le-' nope. Not that one either." The colt frowned a little bit. He really needed to work on this niceness thing. And he needed more jokes. Aha! He had one! "What do you call a pile of kittens?"

Now the joke caught her attention. She did love a good joke! Her ears twitched, and her eyes brightened a bit. "I don't know..uh..." she didn't know his name. "I'm sorry, I don't know your name. "But I dunno, what do you call a pile of kittens?" She leaned forward eagerly.
