Taking a deep breath of the clear mountain air, Zulaikha opened her lilac eyes to look down at the world spread below her. Sitting down she let her tail curl around her feet as she looked out to the world spread below her. This was as close to heaven as she ever dreamed of getting and somewhere, down there, in that wide spread out place...there had to be a place for someone like her. If she could, Zula would spend the rest of her life right here on the ledge looking down at the world that she didn't seem to fit in. No family, no past, nothing to cling to, nothing to hold onto...
Heaving a deep breath, then wrinkled her nose remembering this high up the air was thinner, Zula shook her head to clear the moody thoughts loose. The sun was bright, the air was clear and she was alive, that was everything that mattered. Perhaps she would luck out and find something to eat soon.

As the Mantis clan migrated, so did Awendela. Slowly, over time, she was becoming used to sleeping outside of her parents den as they prepped her for what would eventually be younger siblings. They trans versed the prides lands as one, moving and mingling like the giant family she had always known. It was peaceful, if not terrifying, how close she felt to all of them.
It was when they had stopped and set up dens that she decided to explore. Since Azria was busying himself with who knew what, she found her paws itching for an adventure. That adventure took her rather quickly to a brown lioness, with some of the prettiest markings she had ever seen. Swirls on one leg, spots on another, and fur as rich as the earth itself.
Awen opened her mouth, closed it, and sucked in a nervous breath. She's not going to hurt you, she's not going to hurt you, she's not going to hurt you... "H-hello, Miss...?" The small, even by Ela standards, lioness tipped a little closer.

Turning her head in surprised, Zula blinked at the small female before her. She hadn't though she would encounter anyone else at this height in the mountains. Still staring stupidly, it took a moment for her lilac eyes to widen in understanding.
"Oh! Oh goodness, I'm sorry. I didn't know this was anyone's place. I will leave at once." Perking her ears forward, Zula gave a friendly smile hoping the other female wouldn't get aggressive. She didn't want to go, but if this was their place then she wouldn't put up a fight.
"I was just enjoying the view. It's...it's perfect." Zula wasn't aware of the longing that filled her voice at the idea of being up here forever.

Awendela folded her ears, her once exuberant self now hidden behind her usual shy persona. She smiled a little, trying to look as nice as she could while still being wary of the rogue. Unlike some members of the pride, or the clan, really, she had some knowledge of rogue life and was rightfully cautious.
"You don't have to be sorry; we just got here not too long ago," she was quick to respond, though after a pause she added, "but...this is Ela'wadiyi, so..." What was she supposed to say now? It felt really rude to ask this lioness to leave, especially if she had come a long way, and Awen really didn't want it to result to that at all.
"...It is pretty, isn't it? We've never migrated to this area before, at least, while I've been around." Awen said in soft tones, smiling as she took in the view. At hearing the undertone in the others voice, she turned honeyed eyes towards her. "Do you...not have a home?"

Zula gave the younger female a soft sad smile, "No sweetling I do not." Sighing she looked back out at the world spread out below them, her eyes going unfocused and sad. "Never have had home or family." Her voice trailed off for a moment before she shook her head again, offering the younger female a warmer smile.
"Sorry, you don't need to deal with my problems. I will move on since this is your place. " Getting to her feet, she took one last long look at the view before turning to head back down the trail that had brought her to this point.

Awendela could not hide her shocked gasp, no matter how whispered it was. "I am very sorry for you." And she was. She couldn't count how many times her family had been the ones to support her when she was afraid or unsure; that solid rock in a turbulent sea. What must it have been like for this lioness, who live without that? All alone in the world?
She waited a good long moment, torn between trying to trying to find the clan leader to help her, or doing it herself. The longer she waited, though, the further the lioness got, and finally, when she could stand it no longer, the petite female ran after the other. "Wait!" It was the first time in her life her voice had any real volume to it. "Please, wait! If you're looking for a family, for a home, you can stay here!"

Zula blinked startled looking back over her shoulder at the younger girl. "Pardon?" She could hardly believe her ears! She could have just been offered what she thought she had...could she? Turning back towards her, careful of the placement of her paws on the narrow ridge, Zula came back to stand at her side.
"Sweetling, not to be rude...but will you not get in trouble for offering a home t a stranger?" She wanted it, oh how she wanted it! Yet she couldn't let this sweet female get in trouble for offering something out of the kindness of her heart that wasn't really allowed.(we can wrap up with your next post. at 996)

Keantha Rp wise, I think we should end it with your post, just to tie everything in. C: Awendela rushed her paws to the lioness' side and had to fight the urge not to cough. She was no experienced runner by any means, and the short outburst had her heart doing paces. It didn't help that she had felt rocks dropping off the side of the ridge. One false step in these mountains, and you were gone!
"Not to one that I feel could use it." She smiled, her breathing coming under control. "We don't welcome outsiders frequently, but if they fit...and I believe that you do...well, I don't see why you can't stay here. Our clan is our family, regardless of blood, and I would like to offer that to you, that is, if you'll take it, which you don't have to." Realizing she was rambling, the little lioness quieted down.

Zula's eyes widened in shock then hope as she looked at the younger female. "I can..really?" Hope was such a fragile thing, easily broken but at the tentative smile and nod, it blossomed into true joy. "Then yes, a million times yes. I would very much like to call this home."
Her smile was sweet and tender as she waited for the other girl to catch her breath, before they turned to head back to the clan. "Thank you..little sister." She didn't know what would happen, where she would go from here, but she -did- know that for once she wasn't alone.
