A little antique shop owned by the off island business monger couple, Joe and Mary Smith. Having heard that there was an island somewhere in the middle of nowhere in development, they rushed there and bought a bunch of building and opened various shops that were missing on the island. This is only one of them! Of course, they'll be more then willing to sell it back to anyone with a right prize.... and if whoever decided that they changed their mind and leave the island (or, most likely, die in a horrible death), they'll be more than happy to rebuy it for half the price! This is how they make their money. Until someone take over the ownership of this shop, they'll be happy to run it from the mainland, almost never coming on the island to see how it's going. The employees, NPC or not, are then free to work like always and customers to use their services.

Why did dads have to be such total dorks? Lyra had had just about enough of her dad rambling on and on and on about the damn tomato festival and how great it was and how she so totally should have been there to see him do such amazing things. First of all, there was a chance that she would have got tomato on herself, GROSS. Second of all, he always went shirtless and that was disgusting. If she wanted to see her dad shirtless all she had to do was... well basically live with him. No thanks, she had had just about enough of him. That was precisely why she had swooped up her purse and took off downtown when she first saw a break in his stories. It had been such a long time since she had had a day of shopping without any part of her family and it was long past due! She had also been meaning to go down to the antique shop, since it had been a long time since she had been in there, too. From what she remembered, they always had wonderful little knickknacks that she loved to look at. Maybe she'd even be able to find something new for her bedroom since it was looking a bit plain.
She opened the door and walked in the lovely little shop and started looking intently at almost everything. Ah, it was just like being a kid in a candy store! There were so many different options and random little things that each had their own personality. This was her kind of place! Why hadn't she come her more often or even just sooner? She stopped in front of a dresser that she thought was particularly interesting and ran her fingers across the wood before continuing on her way, making a mental note to come back to that piece. That was, of course, if she didn't find something else that she absolutely couldn't live without!

Xochiquetzal remained silent the entire walk from the festival to the antique store, keeping herself six paces in front of Miah as they walked the short distance to the business. She was tempted to pause at the magic shop when they had passed it, always feeling inclined to greeting the tank where her favorite childhood octopus was kept though she knew that the one in there wasn't the same creature from her youth. “He's long.. dead now..” She mumbled to herself a few dozen steps from the store, breaking the silence and the walk with an abrupt halt before the antique store. “..Most survive only five years.. When free..” She said more to herself as she held the door open and turned to look over towards Miah, “...Enter.” She commanded the woman, making a limp gesture towards the interior of the building with her free arm. She could already smell the must and dust in the air, relaxing her even more than was ever necessary.

-Miah Bernadetto-
Though Miah was fine with keeping to herself, this was a bit weird. Not a word had been said on the walk over, not that it was to be expected but it was still odd. However when the silence was interrupted by Xochiquetzal's murmuring, to which the blond only caught a fraction of, it was definitely raising the bar for weird. She was already crossing her arms in front of her, raising an eyebrow when her "date" turned to her. "...Sure." she replied slowly with narrowed eyes. After stepping inside the building, Miah glanced around. This was definitely not her choice of items. "..." Her first thought was to ask what the hell they were doing here of all places. But the dead, years, free thing was also on her mind. "What are you looking for again" That was a much better option. She probably should've asked what kind of shopping she had in mind back at the festival.

Xochiquetzal stepped in after her date, eyes on the ceiling first as she tried to see if maybe she could spot.. No, no, there was only particles of dust floating up there, no such spirits could be seen by her eyes. But, just because they weren't in flight didn't mean they weren't within the store. She knew very well that spirits could hide within objects, even from the eyes of a blessed. She wasn't quite sure what Miah's role would play in this yet, but she did know that fate had arranged her together with this one for some reason and she wasn't one to question fate.
“...We.. We are looking.” She corrected in a mumble as she turned towards the shelves and wondered which isle to go down first. ..They all seemed the same.. Perhaps Miah's role was to decide..? She looked to her expectantly, “...You should go first.. Miah.” She stared at her for a beat before realizing there was a question in the mortal's words earlier, not just a mistake. “..Ah, as for.. what we are searching for.. objects, a meaningful object.. Goddess sent to.. Dictate are most fortuitous future..” Just outright saying she wanted to find a possessed object of some kind like her mother had may drive the girl away, so she opted for something more positive.
