They went wandering out onto the sands once more after their visit with the peddler, looking to waste a little more time before checking in at the inn. Eanah wasn't gunning for a fight for a change, but since nothing had gone her way for a number of days now, she wasn't surprised to find that this wouldn't either. An angry Kiandri rushed at them out of nowhere, rearing up and hissing menacingly before they could take cover. She had one last chance to take down a dragon here, and all Eanah wanted to do was turn around and head back into town. She tried to do just that.
The Oblivionite ignored the young dragon, presenting her back to it as she walked away. It was only Thren's panicked shriek that made her turn again, clumsily replicating the shield Leyn had used before that other Kiandri had attacked. This one let out a stream of lightning that seared the hem of her dress. Eanah cursed sharply, dropping her shielding and standing as tall as she could, which wasn't very tall at all.
"I do not mean to fight you!" she shouted. Her voice wasn't very loud either. She really needed to do something about that. The dragon looked confused, especially when Thren rolled to the ground and onto his back, displaying the pale scales of his stomach. Perhaps the keindred had a better idea of how to surrender than his master did. "We were just taking a walk. Go away." Eanah lowered her arms, thinking more critically about what she had just said. "We will go away," she muttered. This time when she turned around, the Kiandri huffed once then slithered away, its footsteps shaking the sand beneath their feet.
Thren rose again, his wide eyes on the dragon as it leaped into the air and flew away. "Go away?" he said, butting his head against Eanah's leg.
"Yes. It is time for us to be on our way."
