Dakota had placed all of his stash of alcohol on the counter of his small kitchen in his dorm. There lined various bottles of rum, gin and whisky. And at the end was a various vodka's. He may have started the small accumulation from the night in vegas for Marcus's bachelor party but nonetheless...it was impressive and there for everyone to come and join in with.
Why?
Because they had survived a mission and he wanted to have fun. Candace was sitting on one of the stools, staring at him like he was crazy. Over his shoulder was Mimsy, who he had hijacked for her to be social.
Because she was on the mission, had died and now...SHE NEEDED TO BE SOCIAL WITH ALL OF THEM.
He paced nervously, because what if no one came. He did have a reputation after all. Some people liked him, some didn't. But he was offering free booze.
There was even snacks and stuff. Like this was a legit party.
"Mimsy, are you still writing notes?" She wouldn't leave her room without the notepad since the last time, his back was pretty much useless.

The events of their most recent mission did set off a chain reaction of troubling things in Mimsy's mind, but none of those things had anything to do with getting to know her fellow hunters better. No amount of explaining as much dissuaded Dakota from (very literally) hauling her off to some sort of social gathering, but she accepted the small victory of being able to take her work with her this time. She had only made a brief wave to Candace in greeting before she returned her attention to the notebook, not bothering to look up while she answered Dakota's question. "Yes. That is not the most accurate description of what I am doing, but if that simplifies it enough for you to understand and stop asking me questions... yes, I'm writing notes." Behind the cover of her open notebook, she tapped out a message with her pen. Astaraei To Lucky:Unfortunate mishap of the social variety. Requesting reinforcement or rescue. 203.

"This is a terrible idea, filling hunters with alcohol indoors." At least it was on the island. Candace watched Mimsy curiously from her perch on one of Dakota's stools. She wasn't here to condone this, she was here to make sure things didn't get out of hand.
...Though that whiskey did look very good.

"This is fantastic idea." Dakota hesitated and started making himself a drink. "Plus what's the worse that could happen? Rep coming in and cutting of someone's arm again?" Rep had done that SOBER.
He didn't think anything would go down drunk.
"Mimsy....You're so cute when you get upset..." He went over and ruffled her hair before settling on his own chair. "To us surviving another mission of hell Ladies."

Candace moved to seat herself on Dakota's lap, putting her head on his shoulder. "Yes, totally. Only he'll do it with his bare hands." At least there was no jail to bail him out of this time. She gently held Dakota's wrist to bring his drink to her lips and steal a small sip from it before letting him go and climbing off his lap. Yes, she used you for a drink.
"Where did you get all of this..." She would leave Mimsy to her notes. She looked very into them.

Nothing Yet To: MimsyReinforcement inbound. Please stand by. Lucky did kind of miss computer games... Actually he missed a lot of things. Not knowing what it was like to die repeatedly was definitely one of those things. Same with not having people bleed to death in your arms with nothing to be done. Those were good times. And yet, the clock had reversed, and none of it had really happened. A sick joke. He just felt kind of hollow, and strange, and more than ever like he really had no god damned idea what he'd gotten himself into. But the good thing about living on a secret island base was that no matter where you were, you weren't far from everything else. The books, diagrams, and rows upon rows of cages could wait until tomorrow. He could hardly focus anyway. It wasn't too long to weave his way out of the labs, and back to dorms. He'd been upstairs, like, once, pretty much only to acknowledge that it did in fact exist. Fortunately 203 was only a few steps from the stairs, and was the only room on the otherwise quiet floor with an open door and conversation coming out of it. " Cześć...?" he called out uncertainly, looking almost specifically for a familiar head of blue and purple hair whose owner he could hang around like a lost puppy.

There were two constants about Rep - well there were more than two, but only two applied at this moment in time - the first was that he was a nosy b*****d, the second was that he couldn't pass up free booze.
So when he heard mention of the little soiree on twitter, he had to swing by. It was non negotiable.
Dropping both the guys a text so they at least knew where he was, he got some clothes on this time - for a given value of clothes - being a complete douchebag he didn't feel he needed a shirt indoors but at least he put on some clean jeans.
"Whats this I hear about free booze?" he purred in the doorframe, before sidling into the room and beelining straight to the kitchen counter. "Don't mind if I do man."

Mimsy snorted in some mixture of disbelief and amusement.
"There is an important distinction between 'upset' and 'annoyed', Dakota," she insisted, glancing down to read the response on her phone. It indicated that he would more likely be joining her than assisting in a daring escape, and she supposed she could be okay with that. She had listed it as an option, after all.
She wrinkled her nose at her now unkempt hair and tried to smooth it down, narrowing her eyes in Dakota's direction. It was kind of magnificent, the way he missed every possible cue and hint thrown towards him. She just wasn't interested in social sciences enough to bother with being curious about it.
"Right. Yes. Survival and existence." She 'toasted' with her pen and impatiently awaited the reinforcements that Lucky assured her were inbound. A great sense of relief enveloped her upon his arrival - not a moment too soon.
"Cześć, Lucky. What a surprise." Flashing a tiny smile, she closed her notebook and waved him inside.

Candace looked up from a drink she was pouring for herself when she heard a vaguely familiar voice. Oh, Lucky! That was unexpected. "Hello there, you're not a face I thought I'd see come by here." Mostly because all she knew of the boy was he was nosy and asked weird questions about the late council in an almost accusing way. "Make yourself at home," said the woman who was not the owner of this room; Candace didn't think Dakota would be bothered by it.
She sipped at her whiskey with a happy little noise, nearly choking on the drink when she heard Rep purr. "Wh-what the hell, Rep." Candace was laughing, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.

Tuck slid into the room, did a twirl and threw his arms out. There was a cheeky grin on his face.
"The party has arrived."
He glanced at Mimsy. His smile brightened about a million watts.
"Mimsy, I almost didn't recognize you!"

Didn't recognize her? Mimsy wondered why he would say that, but also really, really wasn't sure that she wanted to know.
So she didn't ask.
"Nice to see you," she curtly responded, tipping her chin up to look at him.

Rep filled a pint glass with whisky and sidled over to sit next to Candace, giving Dakota an amicable nod. Booze earned back bro privileges, no question of it.
"A guy's allowed to be ******** pleased about free booze, Candy." he said, wiggling his fingers before taking a swig of the drink.
As Tuck arrived he got a curt nod of greeting, he still wasn't sure where he stood with the other guy.
"Oooh you brought your b***h too." he said to Dakota. "Do you just. Keep her here like a pet? Does she mix drinks?"

Tuck's grin broadened, dimple power activate.
"It's nice to see you too, Mimsy. Your face, I mean. Not that I'm complaining about -- oh hey, booze!"

Dakota grinned as he had a Candace on his lap now. Yay Candace on his lap. "He looks like he is perfectly fine over there getting free booze." And then he nuzzled Candace with a sly grin. "I got it from places. Legit places but places...."
At Tuck's arrival, he grinned and held his class up. "Welcome to the fun Tuck. glad you could meet Mimsy again."
---
Nevada knew this wasn't a good idea but she wanted a drink and you know what...She needed to meet more people. When she first walked in the room, it was partly filled with hunters she actually knew. "Candace.." She inclined her head to the mist huntress, and mentor.
"Oh hello Tuck..." And past the moon hunter just because, right to the alcohol where she made her self at home. Gin and Tonic.
Yes.
"Hello Rep." The mist huntress gave him a wary look after talk with Roland.

Candace turned to lean back against Rep while she enjoyed her own drink, tilting her head back as he called her Candy. That was a new one for him. "True, but I don't think most men come in acting like some kind of sultry mistress when there's free booze around."
Someone new arrived and the Mist huntress turned to see who 'the party' was. Ah! She didn't know him. Hm...cute. "Who's the new guy? He looks..friendly." His sassy little banter with Mimsy was amusing, and geeze if he smiled any harder his mouth would probably fall off his face. Nevada was given a smile and a friendly wave. Hmm? What was that look for? "Hey, sweetheart," Candace called affectionately to the Mist trainee, glancing back at Rep. He did something to make her uncomfortable, obviously. She was curious to know what.
