Victoria had found a resting spot in one of the parks among the jungle gym. It was somewhere high enough he could see approaching figures, assuming they actually walked and didn't teleport. He was also suppose to meet ********* here, and with that in mind he'd brought some snacks, though it wasn't cake like she was so fond of, it was pie. Fresh Strawberry pie, his mother had just taken out of the oven not too long ago. Two slices of course. Settled in a small basket, he figured before patrolling it might be wise to have a little something so they wouldn't be peckish.
Of course, then it was time to wait for ********* to show. He continued to look around for her... which a small cat would perhaps easily be able to sneak past him; especially since he was more worried about larger surprises.

Anemone was prone to having a fit whenever ********* wasn't around. However, the feline couldn't just stay there all the time. Though there was a sort of responsibility that the small animal felt to the girl, she also couldn't deny who she was. She had at least 7 other responsibilities to tend to that weren't living in Ellie's house at the moment. Sure, the manx was willing to indulge Anemone the most these days due the odd circumstances of her arrival, but that didn't mean that every so often ********* didn't want a break.
Now would be one such break. She had somehow managed to find a time when the Greek girl was resting to slip out.
And that was when Victoria had called her to meet up.
The guardian had insisted upon meeting at the park. Her silent reasoning had been she wanted to stay close to Anemone, even if she wasn't around. In all honesty, she still hadn't told anybody from the team except for Iris and Irene in regards to the Psyche situation.
That was something for a different time. Not now.
Right now was apparently time for some pie. ********* nose twitched as she approached in a less than discreet manner. A chubby cat walking a straight path towards the Senshi on the playground.
She didn't say anything yet. There was still a chance there could be someone nearby. So instead she mewled out to get the boy's attention.

Victoria's head twitched at the mew, another glance around before he removed himself from the jungle gym. "Hello *********," He smiled as he landed the pie safely in one hand. "I believe it's safe, I didn't see anyone." He offered her a ride. "Want to sit at the picnic table so you can eat the pie I brought?"
"I hope you like strawberry." He added.

The manx chuckled a bit at the offering.
"...so... is this the reason you called me out here? To spoil me with some pie?" She didn't take up his offer, simply trotting along by his ankles.
"I am not complaining, mind you... I just thought you actually wanted to patrol!" As the pair seemed to drift across the park, they soon enough found a picnic table. With a couple clumsy seeming hops, the chubby cat was soon enough upon the table-top portion of the bench.
With eager eyes, she began to watch the pie, waiting for it to descend upon the table.

"No, I want to patrol; I just know the kids often bring you food and well the pie was fresh baked. I thought you might like some before we started patrolling." Victoria gave a little pout that ********* thought he just asked her here for some pie.
He placed her plate on the table and paused, sitting the forks and napkins between hers and his. "I suppose... you don't really need a fork though. I brought one and a napkin just in case." He gave a soft shrug of his shoulders. Plus his mom didn't question him when he actually thought about two pieces of silverware, she'd probably have a fit if she knew he let a cat eat out of one of her plates.

"Well, I am grateful that you were considerate enough to bring me something to snack on!" She had settled her haunches upon the table as Victoria got everything set up. His mention of the utensils caused her to laugh slightly.
"...yeah... can't use a fork when I am like this, Victoria! It's the thought that counts though!"
With all the manners of a two-year-old child, the cat soon enough had shoved her face into the pie, taking up a large mouthful to start chowing down.

Victoria couldn't help but chuckle, "True, not having thumbs when you're a cat would make it hard to use a fork."
He sat down and started eating his pie, watching as ********* dug in face first. "Oh man, you're going to get strawberry in your fur." Not that he minded, he was eating his with a little more grace.
"Do you think we'll run into a youma or whatever those other things are while on patrol?" He asked her in between bites of his pie. The other thing was still a mystery but he'd seen mention of something different attacking people lately. He'd just told his sisters it was the boogeyman. "I kinda wish I could explain to my sisters what's happening. I keep telling them it's the boogeyman or something equally as silly."

She lifted her head and a big smear of red was all over her face. She chewed, and eventually the feline mentioned "I am also a master of baths!" The Mauvian didn't mean the sorts of baths that humans took, but more the kind that cats gave themselves. Food wouldn't stay stuck on her fur for too long!
Victoria mentioned something odd, which caused the feline to pause from her chowing down. She licked her paw and rubbed it over her red snout, wiping away a bit of the strawberry before speaking up.
"...'other things'... Care to enlighten me as to what that means? It wasn't a youma?"

He chuckled, "Ah good thing that you are." He chuckled, "I didn't realize that would be so messy for you." He gave the manx a scratch behind the ear.
He paused, "Hm... oh you haven't seen it?" He pulled out a paper that had been printed off a computer. "One of my blogger friends caught this, it doesn't look like any youma I've seen." He showed her the picture, it was kind of crappy photography but you could tell that it had a shape possibly wraith like. "Maybe he's fooling with us but ... I don't know..."

The momentary scratch was well received, the feline leaning into the soothing feeling behind her ear. When he offered the paper, the feline planted a paw upon it, easily getting some of strawberry ooze upon the crisp white.
Though she subconsciously licked away the red goo over her nose as she looked over the paper, she seemed very intent upon looking the image over. Save for the occasional taste of strawberry, the strawberry pie was completely forgotten.
"...I don't think that this is a manipulation... though you are right... the quality is horrible..." She leaned her head in closer to the paper, squinting a little bit more.
"....what did the blogger-friend have to say about it? Any distinguishing details or warnings about these...?"

"It didn't say much, and he hasn't really directly answered any of my questions. Just saying the person dropped after having the thing pass through them, I'm guessing kind of...shadow or ghost like? It could've been like the negaverse's energy drain?"
Victoria sighed, "I just hope he's not dumb enough to try and get more pictures of the thing, or better pictures." There was a pause, okay the guy was totally dumb enough, "Eh... on second thought, I just hope he doesn't get caught by one of these if they're negaverse or something else..."

Her eyes didn't even lift off the image as he explained further about the source.
One thing she could definitely say by looking at the odd ghostly entity depicted. "That's not Negaverse..." She offered a small clarification after the statement. "I don't know what it actually is... but it isn't Negaverse...."
Eventually she was able to pull her eyes away from the odd image to look to Victoria again. "I still wouldn't want this person to go seeking more evidence of these things though, regardless of whether they are Negaverse or not." With another quick sideglance to the image, she then asked the senshi something.
"...do you think you would be able to research this for me?" She had her paws full with Anemone as it was, and adding this to the pile of things to look into was going to turn her already grayish-blue fur to pure white.

Victoria nodded, "So not negaverse.... I wonder what it could be." He was kind of looking at the picture curiously as he tried to figure out what that could be.
"True, I wouldn't want him seeking them either but there's some people you can't convince otherwise. They'll throw themselves into things without thinking." Victoria might've been a pot calling the kettle black; though he threw himself into his skateboarding and not to monsters.
"I can try. I'm not too sure where to start lo--" There was a sudden noise, screams from the direction of the shops. It seemed while the park was vacant the shopping district was far from it. Victoria sighed, those screams normally meant there was a monster near by. Something he'd not paid attention to while speaking to *********. "---oking. Think we should check that out? Hopefully it's something small and I can handle it, or worst case scenario if we can't handle it together, I can call for backup?"

The cat's ears twitched and swiveled into the direction of the screams.
"...if I were to guess... that might be a good place to start looking?" It might have seemed inappropriate on her part, but she let out a small giggle.
"I think you should be able to take care of this one on your own... it doesn't feel like an overly strong opponent..."
It was going to be a pity to leave the pie behind, but there were more important things to tend to. Hopping up to her feet and off the table and began to sprint in the direction of the cries.

Victoria nodded as ********* suggested this, ". . . pitty about the pie. Don't worry I'll get us some more as a reward after this fight." He said as he offered his little fuzzball of a companion a ride right before she jumped off the table.
Welp there went that. Okay, He followed her, "It doesn't? Well that's a good note of relief." He wanted very hard not to be the fail "girl" as ********* called him in the group but that was difficult some days.
When they arrived on the scene Victoria paused as he stood there staring at a entity that clearly was not a youma. This particular monster was more see-through though it seemed to be defining more with each draw of energy. "It's your size." Victoria mentioned staring at the cat-sized mirror wraith though it appeared to be a very small. . . fox?
"Uh, it seems to gain more definition with each drain?" Okay he totally wasn't sure what to do with this thing. "Should . . . I try to kick it?" Youma he knew to punch this was questionable territory at best.
