──────────────────────────────────── Theresa Waldroup is the eldest and only daughter of the Waldroup family, though this can be argued against whenever Kathy comes around. She's notably the most relaxed, but she wasn't like that when she was younger. Being an only child was an easy, fun lifestyle that got to the girl – she was spoiled rotten despite the less than moderate economic status her family was in. She never got the best of grades and wasn't much of a social butterfly – hell, she was as against it as they came. She bullied kids whenever she had the chance and was only sweet to her father, while mother could take a boxcar down to Alaska for all she cared. It was daddy that got her things, after all! Now, it can be expected that the moment her parents decided that another baby would be good idea, little four-year-old Theresa threw fits every chance she had as soon as she understood what that would mean. Of course, these tantrums only lasted until her parents decided to move.
Fourteen years old and another baby in the house, the Waldroup family moved out to California. Theresa didn't mind it as much as others since she was always a loner where she grew up at, her bully-name following her wherever she went in that town. So, this was a chance for her to find more friends! Such as a group of druggie punks that were all too happy to have her in their midst. Theresa was rarely home at that point, but her parents didn't mind it as they were only happy to see their daughter out with friends. Being a dumb teenager with dumb parents, she took this as them not caring about her and went to a few extremes. Like dumping everything they ever gave her onto Kade, who had turned into the sad, lonely kid at home instead. Theresa got piercings, started taking a few lesser drugs, such as marijuana, and slept around more than a young teenage girl should. She didn't really get into too much trouble by a stroke of fate and some birth control pills, but she did get a pretty bad name for some time. But, time slowly got to her.
Theresa started to realize that she didn't want to spend her life as a local pothead, mooching off of her parents and friends for who knows how long. But, by the time she got that decided on, she had already screwed her grades over. She was practically failing out of high school and there wasn't much she was willing to do at that time. She wasn't that motivated and she knew there were plenty of things she could do. In fact, there was one thing that she could do that she honestly felt like doing. Trucking. Sure, it sounded like an odd thing, but she had a license for it and it was like being a modern cowboy to her. Traveling across the country, spending hours alone without any worry on someone dropping their drama into her lap – like Kade oh so often did – and then she could just get away from it all. The pay was perfect for her, too. So, after a long argument with her parents, she went to her Uncle Benjamin, who was the very same uncle that had helped Kade get into his salon and pay his way through school.
Theresa trucked for awhile after earning herself the vehicle and had completely dedicated herself to the plan of spending her life as a new-age cowboy. But, life doesn't always go as planned. Theresa had come to stay with Kade for a short while as soon as she heard her brother had went crazy and adopted some kid – if that wasn't a cry for help, Theresa didn't know what was. But, that cry of help had lasted a whole year with no break for Theresa to go back to her life. She had gotten attached to the kid Kade had adopted and even more so to her brother, who really didn't look to be in the best of shape. She was too busy worrying about this and that than to actually think about moving back home – hey, she even got herself a boyfriend for a short period, Matthew, but, they didn't really last that long. She shortly got herself another guy – Kaleb Romanov. The two hit it off pretty sweet, but it became apparent that a long-term commitment was a shared fear. Their relationship turned off and on and topsy turvy pretty quick, until little Brian pretty much sealed them together. They weren't perfect, honestly, but Tess felt like she was doing a pretty good job.
Shortly after ending her trucking career for good, Theresa kept herself busy by taking over the local horse ranch. Horses were pretty cool and Theresa was just plain destined to handle overgrown boys anyway; may as well embrace it.────────────────────────────────────

──────────────────────────────────── Quite a bit has happened to Kade since his first arrival to the island, but, in all honesty, the vast majority of it is nothing more than romantic drama that he'd rather ignore than pay any attention to. ..Too bad he still has trouble with it. Kade met a Yoakim LeBlanc and, quickly enough, the pair began to date – only for it to end with the man eloping with one of Kade's friends. Paired up with this, Kade's friends all seemed to have disappeared without a word or letter in farewell and, not to mention, a traumatic experience during an unspoken of masquerade several years ago, Kade had went off the deep end. He adopted a child, named him after the man who left him, and convinced himself for many a season that he was still with Yoakim despite all the evidence pointing otherwise. He kept up his ignorance for a good amount of time, until his older sister came to the rescue and guided him towards a reality check.
He didn't take it as well as Theresa had hoped and, from there, he became a rather pessimistic, bitter man, looking as though he'd rather murder Ellie and Yoakim than get a fluffy puppy for his birthday – something he, thankfully, didn't get. But, a few years passed and his sister-dubbed 'immature' reaction became repetitive. Kade left the island for a few years, focused on going to therapy, and, presto! Kade was back to his happy self, albeit far less flamboyant than he once was. He went back to the salon he tended to since he first arrived and worked on becoming as good of a parent as he could be!
But, children grow and, eventually, Junior had left the nest altogether to go to become his own adult, without Kade's help. Kade was reluctant on staying out of things, but, recalling his own dislike of his parents' involvement in his life decisions, he stayed out of it. It was best that Junior wanted to go to school, after all, than drop out or something along those lines.
Still, Kade found himself pretty alone when his kid left. He hadn't bothered much with friends, finding the idea of it less enjoyable after most of his left those years ago, and his one boyfriend, who really was just someone to relieve stress with, he chased away for Junior's sake. His sister was busy with her own life, Jacob would hardly have anything to do with him, and Kade didn't think adopting another child was much of an option.. So, he turned to his first, original, and true life! RABBITS. Kade hadn't even attempted to own another rabbit for years and now that he had time, he could spend all of his leftover love and affection on the furry critter! So, he bought one fluffy bunny, a nice, large hutch, and spent his days taking care of him~ ...But the poor bunny was lonely! So, Kade got a second. Then a third. Fourth. Fifth. Pretty soon, Kade owned more than he could count and, as far as he's concerned, that can only be taken as the best thing ever!────────────────────────────────────

──────────────────────────────────── Jacob had a rough life growing up, though it's easily argued that most of it was his own fault. His parents were sourly disappointed when the older two siblings of the household ran off to become unruly, unsuccessful brats, leaving the gossip mill running on about the Waldroups and their poor parenting skills. As a result, they hammered Jacob a bit too hard on schoolwork, success, rules, and anything they felt they had been inadequate in before. Though the boy had learned to be obedient, he was bitter about it all and ended up directing most of it towards his then-gone siblings, especially Kade. Though his older brother seems to constantly be blissfully ignorant of it, even to this day. But, that could be Theresa at work there.
Regardless, he went through high school with decent enough grades, making it big on the football team and having himself a steady, nice girlfriend who he daydreamed marrying at times. It was going good, until he made a visit to Nirvani Island and unnecessarily flipped out a lot. Some mind games here and there, a break up, and a failed attempt at joining a convent later and Jacob ended up back on Nirvani to spend his time sulking at Tess's house. There wasn't much his sister could say to get him to go back home or move on in his life, so she ended up letting him stay there until he had a 'prophetic dream'. Jacob had woken up one morning and found some unintentional encouragement to become Nirvani Island's first priest in a long, long time. There weren't really any requirements out of dedicating his time to self-study about the island's original belief system and living inside the small room at the church.
All things considered, Jacob wasn't a bad priest. He made weekly trips to each shrine to clean it, kept the church itself in tip-top shape, and was always happy to lend an ear or hand to anyone who needed it. Partway through his work, he ended up taking in a child and raising him, with the help of Yoakim LeBlanc. He made constant calls to the guy for help with the baby and ended up having a – well, shameful as it was, 'relationship' with the married man. He kept it to himself and, once Yoakim decided to get into politics and leave the island, he continues to do so. It was an miniscule and disgraceful detail he would rather kill himself over than even think about writing home on it. The kid he raised ended up growing up and moving away, leaving Jacob on his own with only his family to keep him company.────────────────────────────────────

──────────────────────────────────── Junior pretty much lived a rather pathetic life growing up with hardly much to show for it. He was a shy child, often picked on by other boys, and without any actual parents as his teenage mother didn't feel like having a kid, a woman he never knew simply because neither himself or her felt the need to seek eachother out. He was adopted at the age of nine by Kade, who was going through some tough things himself at the time, leaving the child with an unstable home to grow up in. He found himself blaming himself over every little thing that happened to his new dad practically all the time and, when he went out to make some friends, he ended up doing the same for them too. His entire existence, in his eyes, only had purpose if he was there to take the blows for other's misfortune – what else did an ugly, shy little child have to offer others, after all? He wasn't smart or brave or anything and, really, he just ended leading others into more trouble. If they weren't being kidnapped, stepped on, or killed, their bad luck obviously was just waiting for the chance to strike them in punishment for dealing with Junior. Ah, yes, Junior was probably the most pessimistic person on Nirvani Island – but it wasn't as if anyone noticed him anyway. The one person he thought could have, Rune Vatonage, rejected him at the end of the year and, thus, left Junior heart broken.
He had nothing he could do but move away to go finish his education, somehow magically graduating from the local schoolhouse. ..Though, it was probably a processing error or something. Maybe the computers just forgot he existed or really wanted him out. Junior wasn't sure what it was, but he knew he couldn't have succeeded on his own intelligence. Still, he managed to get into a decent university and, deciding his only way to make it up to the world for existing, was by helping out other unfortunate creatures like himself and teaching them how to better adjust to being so pathetic. Yes, he wanted to become a school counselor and, to do that, he specialized in sociology. After he graduated with his first degree, Junior realized quite suddenly that he simply wasn't ready for getting a job in Nirvani again. Who knew what atrocities he would commit if he went in now?! So, he signed up to get his graduate's immediately and continued to go to school, only coming to Nirvani Island to visit his dad during his breaks. A year or two during his higher education schooling, Junior's personality did a slight shift from something that appeared a little more confident. Now, of course, he knew full well that he still was pretty worthless, but at least he now had the appearance of someone who believed otherwise! Whether it was just maturing and becoming an adult or if him finally allowing his dad to give him a haircut really did the trick, it's hard to say, but, for sure, Junior was looking more like a productive adult. ..Just don't talk to him and ruin the moment.
Upon returning to Nirvani Island, Junior's dreams of becoming the school counselor were cut down by his own pessimistic thoughts. Even with the minor confidence boost, he didn't see how he could possibly consider himself worthy of being a guide on anything for children. He wasn't ready to do that! So, he signed up for being a substitute teacher instead, figuring there was little damage he could do to the young minds if he was just an on-call fill-in. In the meantime, he helps his father tend to the multitude of rabbits the man has been keeping and stands awkwardly in the background the majority of the time.────────────────────────────────────

──────────────────────────────────── Brian spent the larger part of his childhood on Nirvani Island, running around kicking his old soccer ball throughout the park and trying to let loose the pigs on the local farms as part of his parade of harmless pranks. Theresa was never too harsh on the boy and was a bit too laidback to really have any consistent punishment, tending to allow him to run wild throughout the island. Heck, she wasn't even there half of the year, off running month-long deliveries on the continent and leaving his father, Kaleb, to tend after him. Which only meant Brian had less opportunities to try to snag from the winery as the man had little distractions with his mother away.
While Brian would once complain about having one part-time parent, it would be hard for him to ever not admit he didn't have a pretty good childhood. His parents were supportive in most that he did and that continued even after his mother had decided to take them off the island for a few years. Sure, it wasn't fun having to start a new life in a community with a severe population increase (going from a handful of kids in a two-room schoolhouse to a huge building of hundreds of students and rooms was a hard adjustment), but he managed it pretty well until they could go back home. He even set himself up a pretty good social life in the city! A few girlfriends when he hit fifteen on up, some experimenting here and there, and a handful of consistent buddies he went out with when playing games at home grew droll.
Then, his mother got laid off from her usual job and sold her truck, becoming as close to a housewife as she could be. He didn't think much of it until his folks had decided to move back to the island, which came as a shock to Brian at first. It would be a lie to say he didn't want to move back, but there wasn't much room for argument and, besides, he wasn't one to complain. He focused his attention on being as positive about the move as he could be – maybe he could meet one or two of his old classmates or.. whatever. Reservations aside, as soon as they had set themselves up in a new home and Brian was enrolled in school again, the boy got a part-time job at the movie theater's arcade to distract himself from the boredom of the island.────────────────────────────────────
