Personality/Mannerism: Masoko is a quiet male, tending to keep his thoughts and opinions to himself. When he chooses to speak, his tone suggests that he is quite a friendly individual, one who is ready to do anything for a friend in need. Mention anything along the lines of 'explosions', however, he can be seen tensing up somewhat and harboring a slight hint of hatred in his tone, due to an experience in his past involving that Kekkei Genkai of his.
Facial Features: Masoko has an unscarred and decently handsome face, though you'll never hear him admit that. Due to his apprenticeship, he can be commonly seen with sweat lines and darker tones about him but only if he hadn't cleaned up afterwards. (See picture for better visualization)

Special Tactic/Skills: Masoko's job as a blacksmith apprentice has given him a finer eye with weaponry, allowing him to quickly appraise an opponent's weaponry from a single glance and determine a strategy based from that knowledge.
Battle Strength: Masako's natural strength makes him well-suited to simple close-range combat, his jutsus helping to accommodate this.
Battle Weakness: Masako isn't very good when it comes to long-range strikes. Not only this, but he has a strong preference of not using his Explosion jutsus as frequently as he should.

The user creates a small explosion in their palm. If properly timed and angled, it can be used to send thrown kunai back at the enemy. It can also be used to slightly damage an opponent in extreme close range of the blast.
• Bakuton: Jiraiken - Explosion Release: Landmine Fist ~ B Rank
After establishing direct contact with their opponent through a simple punch, the user utilizes Explosion Release to subsequently generate an enormous explosion from the initial point of physical contact. This explosion is powerful enough to completely obliterate an opponent far larger than the user. Due to the directionality of the blast, the user minimizes any potential repercussions, such as being struck by resultant debris and even recoil appears to be completely negated. The user is also able to use the technique on the ground to create a shockwave of upturned earth and debris to throw the enemy off balance. When used like this, the explosion is orange colored instead of red.

Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.

Henge no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.
• Nawanuke no Jutsu - Escaping Skill ~ E Rank
Nawanuke no Jutsu is a very basic Ninjutsu that allows a ninja to escape from rope binds.
• Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing ~ E Rank
Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.
• Suimen Hokou no Waza - Act of Water Surface Walking ~ E Rank
A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.
• Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique ~ C Rank
This technique creates a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.
• Raiton: Gian - Lightning Release: False Darkness ~ B Rank
The user emits lightning in the shape of a spear from its mouth, which then pierces the enemy. Its destructive power is great enough to even pierce through rock; meaning it has a high killing potential. The user can increase the number of spears to attack multiple enemies. This, coupled with the sheer speed of the lightning, makes it a difficult technique to evade. This technique is capable of being focused into a straight beam, similar to a laser.

The user charges lightning-natured chakra through his arm, and runs towards his opponent in a similar manner to Lariat.

The user first imbues their blade with fire, before slashing in the direction of the desired enemy, resulting in the creation of large arcs of intense flame that follow the trajectory of the previous swing. A skilled user of this technique is capable of surrounding their immediate area with a circular wall of flames, incinerating multiple targets even if they approach from numerous angles simultaneously.

Headband Location: Wrapped around right shoulder blade.
Headband Style: The metallic piece of the headband is pointed above his shoulder, with the symbol of his village face up from the perspective of those at his side. The cloth holding the metal piece has been replaced with a more fire-resistant black cloth, for both an easier time at wearing and more prolonged exposure near the blacksmith's forge.
Clothing: Masako wears a simple white tanktop, an article meant more for its comfort than for showing off his muscles. Around his neck, he wears a black and yellow bandana, as well as the same color-patterned gloves upon his hands. The rest of his attire is what is typically worn by ninjas, involving the typical pants and open-toed shoes.
Cherished Items: Masako has only two cherished items, both of which were found with him the day he was discovered by Kyirian. The first was a scroll that held information leading to his Black 'Bomb' Kunai, and the second is a small, ruby necklace. These two items hold an unknown mystery to him, and thus are both left at home so that he would never misplace them.

Friends: Aside from his foster father, Masako doesn't really have any friends due to his lack of interaction.
Enemies: Similar to his lack of friends, Masako lacks any enemies. Or, at least, no one has personally come to him with disdain.
Romantic relationships: None, hasn't really bothered to find a love interest.
Religious philosophy: Masako isn't religious and thus doesn't really believe in a higher power out there. To those that do, though, he acknowledges them for their opinion without judgement, even if he doesn't personally agree.
Political/social philosophy: Masako sees this as a double-edge sword. On one hand, each person is just that and shouldn't hold any level higher than the next. On the other, without someone to lead, the village would surely have fallen many years ago.
Background: About eighteen years ago, Masako was found right outside the entrance to the village by Kyirian Usuko, one of the local blacksmiths. Having just come back from a business trip, Kyirian was ready to return home with the faint cries of an infant drew his attention away. Upon finding the source, he came across a small basket with an infant, no one else about to care for such a child. There was no message explaining why the child had been left there and, after a long debate, Kyirian took the child with him back to his shop. His intention was to ask around the village about who the child belonged to, yet would take care of him while they waited for an answer. That answer... never came.
As the years passed on, the infant became a young yet capable boy. Masako had become fascinated with the idea of being a ninja, even though he was helping his caretaker at the blacksmith's forge at the time. Kyirian was accepting of this, and thus Masako joined the village's Academy. During his time there, Masako learned the natural things about Chakra, jutsu, and overall being a ninja. As it went, it felt like his dream would become a reality.
Then, something expected had happened. Kyirian approached Masako, holding a small scroll that had apparently been with the young boy as an infant. As the two began to practice making creations based on this scroll's instructions, Masako was eventually asked to use some of his Chakra for the second test. What happened next was a shock to both of them, as the result was an explosion that nearly demolished the blacksmith's shop. Hurt and relatively alright, Masako crawled from the rubble covering him to find Kyirian in far worse shape. The sight was so shocking to the young boy that, if it hadn't been for the concerned neighbors, his caretaker may have never ended up in the hospital in time. During Kyirian's injured time, Masako stopped attending the Academy, separating himself from the concept of being a ninja. His desire and goal became a task he never wanted to involve himself with again... It was later that Masako found out about his Kekkei Genkai, which explained what had caused that test to go wrong. In an instant, his desire to never touch a jutsu again became a strong desire to never affiliate himself with his own power... never wanting another accident like that from happening again.
Kyirian recovered well after a long period, soon returning to his shop and, with the help of Masako, repaired the building and reestablished his trade once more. With the help and guidance of his caretaker, Masako was able to regain enough confidence for himself to complete his Academy training and became a Genin. However, he wasn't ready to continue from there just yet, and thus spent a few more years under the tutelage of Kyirian. Now, Masako has managed to pick himself up out from most of the barriers he shut upon himself, and is ready to truly act like a Genin...
