Kilian rolled both his shoulders and stretched his neck from side to side. He had taken a couple of weeks off from any training to fully heal from the wounds on his back. Whatever Erionda had done to him back on Eowyn had enabled him to heal much quicker than he would have otherwise.

It was time to get back into action, though. He had grown bored and antsy with the time he'd spent at home. After finally having moved out of his parents' house, he had been alone. A nudge to his side reminded him of his companion. "I guess not completely alone, huh?"

The drakein at his side nipped at his hand. Kilian had been neglecting her as of late. Sure, he kept her safe and satisfied but he had all but shut off the connection between them. He didn't need his drakein sharing in the pain he had been experiencing. At least that's how he described it. He didn't really understand the ache in his chest. His hand Amadia had nipped rose to his chest and he gripped the cloth tightly in his fist.

He had to get out. That's what brought him to the forests of Soudul. “Lets kick some dragon tail, Amadia.” The excitement ran from him and into Amadia, causing the drakein to give a yelp of excitement.

Ready whenever you are! Amadia quipped inside of Kilian’s mind. Their bond had grown strong since he had first met Erionda. Though he was surprised that the time he’d closed it off hadn’t dimmed it. Sighing in relief at this bit of information he gave the drakein a smile as they set off deep into the forest.

Kilian, however, was distracted most of the time. He just couldn’t keep from thinking about his last encounter with Erionda and how he could have done things differently. It seemed as if so much had gone wrong. Lost in thought, Kilian almost didn’t see the dragon coming in time. If it had not been for Amadia’s urgent warning, he would have been knocked to the ground.


Cursing, Kilian jumped out of the dragon’s way, pulling his twin daggers out in one fluid motion. It would be the second time only that he had used the blades in a real fight. He gripped the weapons tightly and starred the dragon down. “Come at me you dumb beast.” He mumbled as he put himself into a battle ready position. Amadia joined him in the stance. The two of them had trained before going to Eowyn and though they had not gotten much chance to show off their skills then, they worked well together now.

With a discreet nod at Amadia, Kilan took off towards the dragon, daggers at the ready. The dragon brought its tail around, just as Kilian had predicted it would. At the last minute, he changed course and jumped back, out of the dragon’s tail’s range of hit. Amadia moved swiftly, using her wings to make her move fast. Her claws dug into the flesh of the dragon’s tail and pinned it down. Her teeth ripped into the flesh.

A wail escaped the dragon’s mouth as it raised it’s head to the sky. Kilian took advantage of the potion the dragon’s neck was in. He shoved off the ground and jumped into the air. He extended his daggers and brought them across the dragon’s neck, severing the head from the body. Kilian landed on the ground on both feet, to his own surprise. He watched as the now dead dragon’s body started to dissipate into dust, leaving nothing behind but ashes and a dragon orb for Kilian to claim.
