((Aim rp between Ivette and Zahid.))
Ivette: Small white ears gave a gentle p***k upright as the sound of morning birds songs started to trickle into her slowly waking mind. The songs were always a lovely start to a day, though some birds obviously shouldn't be singing, who simply couldn't keep in time... thankfully just a few little avians were above the massive tree that Ivette laid beneath. Tucked up neatly, tail curled along her side, the mare slowly opened her glowing eyes, long lashes fluttering a few times as her vision refreshed itself. Ears twitching again, she finally lifted her head fully to blink up at the birds perched on the branches along the tree tops, before giving a dainty little yawn. Peeking over to her side, she looked to Zahid, who she had laid up beside for he was a perfect source of heat, and kept her warm while she slept. But her gaze didn't linger too long, as she began the rituals of grooming herself that she often did when first waking up. Her head turned to nose along her pretty white pelt, smoothing down any ruffled fur, even giving a few licks to pick off any tiny bits of debris that showed up on her pristine coat.
Breakfast was on her mind... stomach a little grumbly already, even though the sun had just peeled over the horizon, and was just starting to shift the sky's colours from the bright oranges and pinks to allowing blue to spill in. She did pause from time to time to glance around them at the surroundings they'd chosen to settle in for the night. A dense forest was always full of lush game an vegitation... and she was craving meat. She'd pleasantly found that her traveling companion seemed alright with it as well. Though he showed no kalona traits... Ivette was impressed with the stallion she'd allowed to stay in her company. Definitely a male to be applauded. However... in taking another look to said male, her eyes narrowed as she spied some of his fur ruffled... Wrinkling her nose slightly, she casually leaned her head over to begin grooming him as well, licking at the unruly fur that decided it'd stick up rather than lay uniformly flat.

Zahid was deeply lost in a dream. He was fighting the legendary 40 thieves of Alibaba, and winning! Not that one man could stand against an army of thieves, but this was his dream. He fought with precision, and swung his blade with strong, quick blows. The sound of clashing metal rang through the air, as he felled each and every one of them. His subconscious felt Ivette move, and the dream blurred away. The stallion remained asleep though, not ready to wake up yet. Strength was renewed with a good nights rest. It took some getting used to, having someone next to him at night. It was a pleasant change though, as the two kept warm side by side. Surely come summer, that would change. His brain didn't register the sensation right away, but rather sent the delayed warning to him. The bubble of sleep was broken as he felt a moist roughness along his coat, his mind finally processing the sensation. He bolted his head upright, and it pivoted with a sharp twist to look at Ivette. The sunlight dappled through the trees and across the forest floor. It was a beautiful morning, but Zahid didn't see any of it. His eyes wide, he watched her straighten his ruffled coat. This...was a first. There were many firsts when Ivette was around. Not that it bothered him, just that he didn't know how to react sometimes. This was one of those times.. Zahid did like to remain presentable, but he wan't one to obsess over a pristine coat. Ivette preferred to remain pristine, in every way possible. It was part of her fierceness, that he had grown to enjoy. It would seem she had taken her sights to the way he looked this morning though! Yes, it startled him. He didn't say a word though, as he found surprisingly, that he rather enjoyed the sensation of her tending to his coat.

She worked diligently on his coat, following along the ruffled grain that was just behind one of his shoulders. It seemed that her tactics worked too, the fur soon smoothing down and resting flat with the rest of the pelt, her ears flicking when shed come across a bit of clinging dirt or mud, and nose at it a little firmly. When one area was spot clean, she moved further up to his upper back, gently brushing her nose along the fur first to see if it would listen with some light coaxing. However... her ears twitched again as the stallions head was suddenly whipped up and alert, making her glowing eyes slide over to look at him... but not stop her work. She kept at it, like it was no big deal at all, sleek tail curling and laxing slowly in a sort of content manner.
Once the next patch of area was to her liking, Ivette straightened her neck to idly nose some of his mane to lay straight, for a few locks were wiggly, or looped, or just bedraggeld all together. So youve finally woken up. she commented idly after remaining silent as well, lifting her head to relieve him of her grooming, to nose at her own mane, and fiddle with the bow towards the end of the ponytail, you sleep quite heavily, dont you?

Zahid looked as if he might bolt like a frightened cat, at any moment. He near forgot to breathe as he kept frighteningly still, while Ivette finished her work. A loud noise was made as he forced himself to swallow. He would of cleared his throat, but thought the sound might boom louder than the natives drum. Such a strong warrior, with a skilled blade, yet he didn't have an social sense when it came to the opposite sex. Not that he didn't know about things, but well, he hadn't had the chance to practice them as much as he had his sword.
As Ivette reached up to tossle with his hair, he held his breath, becoming as still as a statue. Save for one ear, that kept flicking with the tickle of her touch. His blue sky-lit eyes, were wide, scanning around for something too look at on the ground. When she stopped, he huffed out the deepest breath, as slowly as he could, trying not to make it obvious that he was holding his breath. What was it about her that had this effect on him? He spoke up to reply, glad that his voice wasn't scratchy and harsh. "It would appear so. Did you...sleep well?" it was all he could think of. "I don't always sleep heavily. I am not used to having company at night. I think, I slept very well actually." Normally, he would be a light sleeper. Last nights rest was very rejuvenating for him though. He could not recall when he had got a few nights good sleep in a row.
