Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.

Henge no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.

Nawanuke no Jutsu is a very basic Ninjutsu that allows a ninja to escape from rope binds.
• Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing ~ E Rank
Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.
• Suimen Hokou no Waza - Act of Water Surface Walking ~ E Rank
A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.
•Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique ~ C Rank
A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire and expelled from the mouth either as a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most genin should not be able to do this technique.
The Uchiha clan also uses this technique as a "coming of age" rite and as such was a common and one of the more favoured technique amongst them
•Wind Release: Vacuum Wave ~ C Rank
The user takes a deep breath and spins while exhaling, compressing the released air into a solitary blade of wind that covers a substantial area around the user, due to their circular motion. The resulting sharpened blast is large enough to slice through multiple targets located a significant distance from the user, causing grievous injuries to those hit.

This genjutsu is cast by pointing at the target and a fade purple wave is released from the finger that when it reaches the target, causes them to see a ring of blue fire around them and then see themselves ignite with blue flames.
•Dusk Crow Genjutsu~ B Rank
This genjutsu traps a victim in a powerful illusion with no necessary eye contact; similar to Ephemeral. When used on Naruto, the genjutsu projected a torrent of crows, leaving him at Itachi's mercy.
•Poison Moth Genjutsu~ C Rank
Fuen first uses poison that is thin and tiny enough to be taken in the air. Her target will inhale the poison and start to see the things that Fuen chooses, like caves, moths, or allies of the target trying to kill the target. When her target is imprisoned in her genjutsu, Fuen charges and kills her target.

Background:
Maki was born and raised in Sunagakure. Both of which were Shinobi of the Sand village and always followed orders to the very letter, and Maki was taught no different than what they were. However tragedy struck young Maki when he was in the ninja academy, it seemed his parents would not be returning to him as their mission was faulty.
They had seemed to have ran into what was very bad weather conditions and the giant sand storm claimed them, their mission was an utter failure and has left a mark on young Maki, that one should always make sure they complete their missions... whether they die or not in the process. He has now graduated the academy and seeks the next step, he eventually hopes to activate his Sharingan in order to give the Sand the great power that it deserves.
