The return of Thorin had brought news which had a certain little half-elf in an excited flutter. The days sense had been spent planning and working, and the little smith crafting. In those first days she perhaps had let Kisukari's excitement over-run her social graces, but she figured that would be forgiven on account of her 'elf' blood. Kisu had quickly picked up on the Dvergr's terms for 'Cheetah,' and 'Leopard,' and even 'Lion.' She didn't bat an eye at the odd terms. She'd come across entire prides with their own foreign language. This wasn't much different. But yes! In her excitement she had perhaps not done much to endear herself to the queen - anyone would be thrown off by an excited oddity running up to them and examining them, then running off like a mad-woman. Nary a sight of her was seen thereafter - stuffed away in her den, planning, working. The most careful of detail went in to the selections she made. The queen-to-be was not of the natural colors of the pride, the colors they seemed to value. That made things difficult. Feathers had to be dyed, and the pelt... Oh, she had enlisted a couple of warriors to track down just the right specimen. Once she had all she needed, she labored meticulously, putting her plans in to action, creating...what would be a most beautiful wedding gift, befitting the Queen under the Mountain! Kisukari knew she could do it - she had every confidence in her craft! Once she was done she stepped back and viewed her handiwork, a bright smile on her face. She let out a chirp of glee and picked up the gift, running excitedly from her den. She had to find Aanga!

Aanga had not been expecting a hybrid among her new pridemates, the felines she'd be queen of. She also hadn't expected said hybrid to be a little...eccentric. Yes, that was a good word for the leotah, the half-elf, that had now and again run up to her and left just as quickly. And then seemed to vanish. Aanga had put the strange little feline out of her mind for a time, and thrown herself into her work, into helping Thorin get everyone settled, into clearing away smoke-and-fire-damaged brush and items and...helping to move the dead that hadn't been located by those who'd remained behind after the fires cleared.
But the work had been finished, and now was time to celebrate. There would be a big party soon, a feast that the warriors and wives and brewers had been preparing for for days. A celebration of new life under the mountain, of new blood and new unions and to celebrate the good health of the old blood that had survived. All that Aanga had surveyed made her confident it would be a good celebration, only...one thing had made her feel a little self-conscious.
Many of the Dvergr were ornamented in some way. And she...was rather plain, compared. Especially to her mate. She sat just inside her and Thorin's den, brushing a paw over the fur on her head. Maybe she could try doing something with it? To make herself less...scruffy?

It was fortunate that the first place Kisu could think to check was exactly where Aanga was! Of course, it was a pretty logical assumption. Kisu might have been eccentric and excitable, but she was smart. She had, after all, lead a number of the dwarves to safety during the fire. She'd just been passing by, exploring, when the smoke from the fire, and the sounds of alarm caught her attention. Being lithe and quick, she'd assessed the situation and did what she could to help. In the end, she was proclaimed an honorary dwarf. Really, she was just glad to help. She had a very giving, helpful, heart. As she eyed the den, her smile brightened and her careful pace turned into a happy trot. "M'laaaady, do you have a moment? I've got something for you."

Aanga didn't startle, but there was some surprise in her expression when she turned to face the leotah. "Ah...hello. Yes, I do." Something for her? Perhaps it was well-wishes, or something to eat. Those seemed to be what she was getting from her fellows lately. Those or n**. She was definitely forever set on n**.
"Thank you." She moved aside, motioning for the other female to enter. "You're welcome to come in with it." Though...wait. What was the other carrying? It was rather bright. Like she and Asali, instead of the somber colors she'd been growing used to.

It happened upon her that, although she knew who Aanga was, she doubted the lioness knew who she was. An introduction was in order! 'Ah, thank you," Kisu stepped inside, "I am Kisukari, a smith of clan Schatzi. I come bearing rainments befitting of you, most definitely!" Carefully Kisu slid the garment from her back and presented it to Aanga - largest was the white and light green pelt of a hyena, made to wrap around the queen's neck, along with gold-colored ropes with feathers and beads of a flattering hue. And to not let more of the pelt go to waste was a set of white bracers, to be held up with more golden rope and beads. There was certainly care taken in the selection of colors and the crafting. Indeed, most of the Dwarves did not choose such vivid colors in their own accessories, but Kisu did not hesitate. One way or another she'd liven up the dreary color choices of the dwarves! What better way than to show how well their queen could present those colors! "I hope they appeal to you and that you don't find them too over the top." Which was, indeed, another grumble she heard - too elven! some would say when showing off her wares. Kisu was learning to town things down, else she'd forever had a den full of unwanted treasures!

"A pleasure, Kisukari." And then the smith pulled the items off her back.
She...what? Aanga's eyes widened a bit at the items presented. She'd never, ever gotten something so...well, pretty as a gift before. "I..." How did she word this? She needed to word it right, she was a leader now, after all. Where was all the charm she'd been able to fake growing up when she needed it in a none life-or-death situation? "Thank you. I don't find them over the top at all."
The items were stunning, far beyond what she'd ever hoped to own when she was simply a rogue trying to keep she and her sister alive. "Thank you very much. It is a well-made, and well-liked, gift." She might deny it later, but even she was a bit gleeful to now own something so pretty. And it showed in the small smile that made itself known on her muzzle.

"I am pleased that you like it. If there is ever anything you need crafted, I would be pleased to lend a paw." It made the leotah happy to bring smiles to faces, which was perhaps the best treasure of all. "So, you're looking forward to the celebration, I'd bet, hmn?" Kisu smiled a little brighter, "I've never been to a Dwarf party, but I'm sure it is to be quite the merry event!" No pun intended on her part. Kisu was quite excited, eyes glittering with anticipation. She was quite happy for Aanga. It was a shame that not all the pride was here though. Those she had lead safely away from the mountain had been tasked with finding new blood, and had not returned. Neither had the defacto patriarch of the Haldis clan. Poor fellow... The Schatzi clan seemed to be fairing quite well, though! And that was good.

"I shall remember that." She couldn't help but admire the craftmanship of the items, and made a mental note to perhaps prod her sister over to the crafter later. Asali could use such pretties herself.
"I'm sure it is as well. I've never been to one either, but Thorin has told stories about them." Thorin had told her so many stories. "I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, and perhaps getting to know some." She really was, even if her first instinct regarding creatures would take some reigning in. Hmmm..."Would you,,,perhaps mind helping me get these on?"

"Of course!" Kisu nodded.
The little ropes and knots could be tricky. Luckily Kisu was fairly dexterous.
"I don't imagine being queen will be an easy task, but do not let it weigh too heavily upon your shoulders, herinya, for there are others to help you and yours," the half-elf said, offering some reassurance, "Ánin anta estelya. I can think of only good things and the light of promise shining on Dvergrhiem."
She could not help but smile. The pride had seen fire and death and had rising from that with spirits none the worse for wear. They were a resilient bunch, the Dwarves. Those home, or those she had saved, and who now walked abroad in search for more of their kin, she had the deepest faith in them all.
