 Standing at the place Aquos had told her to meet him, Celestia crossed her arms and looked up at the sky. It was a lovely blue color, not unlike that in her hair, with few clouds speckling it with white. She could get lost like this, just watching the time go by without much of a care to be thought of. It was calming, the sound of birds and crickets, of the wind rustling grass and branches. Just in this moment, everything was at peace.
The princess wondered what this young one that she was here to meet would be like. Was she really so much of a trouble-maker? Surely, with her help, that would change. There was no way her husband was going to raise a hellion of a child without her.
Though, honestly, the princess was more excited about getting to help raise a child at all. She had grown jealous of her sister's triplets as of late and sincerely wanted one of her own.

 Aquos wanted to be at the meeting spot before his wife...Wanted to...Skyla had other ideas. His morning had become a war zone with claws and feathers. He was amazed he got out of his house in one piece really.
 Holding the tot under his arm he came into view of his wife. Aquos was covered in scratches, bleeding in some spots. What couldn't be seen was his pounding headache as the little girl was screaming her lungs out. He hoped Celestia could help him out in some way...At this rate he didn't think he'd ever be a good father.

Turning her head at the sounds of screeching and screaming, Celestia made eye-contact with Aquos before quickly moving her gaze to the loud bundle in his arms. Wow... He hadn't been joking. Flexing her wings behind her as she quickly came over, she reached up to gently wipe a bleeding cut on his cheek. "Are you okay?" She looked up at him, looking him in the eyes as she waited for an answer before quickly looking away and crouching down to be the same level as the little bird. "Is this Skyla?"

Aquos winced slightly as brushed the blood from his cut. "Ya I'm good...This is pretty tame really." He watched her crouching down. "Careful. She bites pretty hard...And yes, this is Skyla. All claws and feathers...I'm well...Not too sure what she is...Some sorta bird yes but...I've never seen anything like her before..."
The little bird let out a growl at the new stranger before snapping at her horn. The little girl was clearly not happy while held in such a way.

Celestia glanced up at him, nodding. "One of my ponies left to care for a similar creature. But it is strange for them to suddenly appear as they did." She returned her look to the little bird, tilting her head as she addressed it. "Where did you come from, little one?" She smiled lightly as her horn was snapped at, leaning back and raising a hand in a tsk tsk motion. "You will injure yourself if you do that"
Standing up, the princess moved closer to Aquos. "Perhaps she would prefer to be left upon the ground?"

"It is..." He didn't understand it really but..She was here and that's all he really knew. "Well she came from an egg on my doorstep." He chuckled before putting the tot down on the ground. Maybe she would be happier...Or maybe she'd eat his toes. He was betting on the toes.
The little harpy shook herself out before chirping and flapping her little wings. The little bird waited a moment before raking her claws against Aquos's leg, as if she knew it would not only hurt but push his buttons.

Pouting and crossing her arms, Celestia's horn glowed lightly as she used some of her pony magic to lift the bird up, bringing her to her level as she shook her head. "No. Scratching people is bad." She then looked to Aquos, shrugging. "I understand what you meant by her being troublesome; are you alright?"

Aquos laughed slightly and pulled out one of his mangled feathers from his own wings. "Ya I'll be fine. What ever doesn't kill only makes me bleed." Aquos blinked as she seemed to lift the toddler with her will. "How do you do that?
The harpy's eyes widen as she lifted from the ground from what seemed like just the air itself...Which she didn't agreed with. The little harpy started to screech as loud as she could, flailing in the air helplessly.

The princess motioned to point at her horn, faintly lit from the magic she was using. "Each fauny sporting a horn can use such levitation. It is really not so unique." Wincing at the screech, Celestia moved the bird to be just inches above the ground. Looking at Skyla firmly, she spoke again to her. "Now... If I set you down, you mussn't treat your father in that way. It is bad... Bad..."
She hoped the bird would at least understand the difference between good behavior and bad behavior.

Well there was something you didn't hear every day. Then again he never though anything different about a...Faun with a horn and wings. The more he thought about it, the less he really knew about Fauns or Faunies or anything about them. He had only seen a few before...Most of them were when they were talking to that tan one with the blond hair. He really wasn't paying attention that day. He frowned and looked to the ground. He was such a terrible man.The chick made a sound that could only be viewed as some sort of hiss. Skyla wasn't enjoying this new thing, being above the ground like this, and this bad thing. The little child showed no fear and simply glared right back at the strange white thing.

Pouting some Celestia crossed her arms and continued to look at her sternly. The was a shrug before she half-smiled. "Now, now. I shan't set you back upon the ground until you have calmed yourself and are willing to behave." This whole levitation thing was actually pretty effective at monitoring young children, it would seem.
Choosing now to ignore the little one, she instead turned her attention to Aquos. "Is something the matter? You appear to be fretting over your thoughts." She hoped it wasn't something she had done inadvertently or the result of some sort of injury caused by the child.

Celestia's voice seemed to snap the male out of his thoughts as he smiled nervously to her. "Oh it's nothing. Just thinking about how little I know about your people really. I only see them at big get togethers like the one I took you too...I think I need to get out a bit more." There was just so much he didn't know about the world he lived in. It was sorta...Depressing really.Skyla, not wanting to be forgotten, started to scream her little lungs out once again. She swipped wildly at nothing, kicking her feet and simply just having a hissy fit."She certainly is stubborn." Aquos covered his ears and winced. Guardians she was loud!

Laughing lightly, the princess crossed her arms. "Is that all? I do not even fully understand the ways of the faun which are so different than what I led our kingdom of Equestria with. It is not strange to not know much of us." There was a slight pause before she added. "I am sure I know far less of your kind, or any of the kind in this land. To think there are some which live beneath the sea... The very thought is still shocking to me."
She winced out in pain and raised her hands to cover her ears as the shrill sound of Skyla's screams pierced the air. The levitation shot her upwards for a moment due to the princess's surprise, but she was soon where she was before, just above the ground. "Great spirits, has she no pause?" Her sister's kids had been so vastly different; no wonder Aquos had so many scratches!

How much did he know about his own kind anyways? "You know what? Seeing on how you're one of the few others who speaks to me, I'm sure I understand far, far less about those around me despite living here. Remind me to start traveling after Skyla is all grown." He said with a small chuckle before looking to the screaming chick. "She's been screaming for a while now. She'll pass out exhausted soon enough." Celestia should have been glad she didn't have to deal with this every single day.

Nodding once in return, the princess replied, "Certainly. You can trust in myself to do so." That would be fun, wouldn't it? A chance to be on one's own, to see this world and to meet its people. Perhaps when she and her people were more established within the tree... maybe then might she have an opportunity to do so herself.
It might be possible for her to join him even.
Would that be appropriate? Yes, two friends have every right to move around on their own. Even if these two friends happened to be, due to outstanding circumstances, married.
Letting her arms fall, she sighed softly and looked back to the small girl. "Is that so?" While it would be nice for the child to quiet down, it would prevent any sort of bonding they might have been able to do. The princess wasn't sure however, at this point, which she might prefer...
