There is a long field with a starting line painted on the grass an another painted a distance away. There are 2 volunteers at the finish line with the coordinator at the start instructing players to line up. She blows her whistle and the dash is on!

The 100 metres was not Arian’s preferred running event, sprinting not his strong point. The dark-haired teen took a bit of time to build up any speed – which although fine for middle distances races such as the 800 or the 1500 metres where stamina was as important a factor as speed – was something of a liability for something as short as the 100 metres.
He’d somehow found himself talked into signing up for the dash however, which was how Arian had found himself doing pre-race stretches for something he wasn’t particularly great at. Still it didn’t mean that he wouldn’t try his best and when the coordinator asked Arian lined up with the others taking part.
When the whistle blew Arian ran for the finish line. His start wasn’t explosive and his running was nowhere near the performance of certain sprinter during last year’s Olympics, but nonetheless Arian tried to dash as fast as he could.
Whether it would be enough? Only time would tell.
Arian Laith got 185

Wow oh wow! It had been years upon Years since the last time Isha had even had a PE class. Being the kid he was, he tended to opt out of such classes, instead focusing on his own choice of activities.
But.. Something did convince him to sign up for the dash. The wind blowing back in his hair, and the blood pumping to his legs.. The idea just was irresistible! Plus there was the curiosity to see if his legs were just as powerful as his arms!
Getting into position, Isha simply waiting, grinning, then he shot off, giving it his all in the very instant he started!
Isha Chaudhary got 141

He wasn't normally one for sports days, but Ian had signed up for it anyways. It had seemed fun, enough anyways to keep his attention for a time. And, now, here it was.
He thought that the dash would be a decent event for him, though most of his running was less of a straight shot and more of a head in a whatever direction was free, and he took his position.
Ready, go.
He took off, sprinting towards the finish line as fast as he could. It wasn't the best he could have done, but at least he had given it a shot.
Ian Davis got 171.
