Death Hunter DEATHSWEEPER General Information The large stone cavern with the tiled floor and large yellow smiley face is likely familiar to at least several trainees, and may even feature in a few nightmares from time to time. Welcome to Deathsweeper, the training course that may only be attempted via c-type golem, and often acts as a testing ground for the Life Division's more painful creations. Stealth and detecting imminent danger are vital for Death Hunters and anyone who has to spend extended amounts of time near Caelius. The Deathsweeper chamber is full of hidden traps that only the finest of survival instincts can survive unscathed.
If you fail: you get to once again relive the sensation of dying. Painfully and sometimes quite strangely.
If you win: you have survived stepping 5 tiles into the room. Anything further is purely for peen and bragging rights.
Mechanics roll 1 d10 check for hp loss and death decide whether or not to use your bonuses if you survive, repeat. roll list: the traps are ICly constantly changing, so feel free to get creative as to what exactly those traps are! -50% HP is off your full HP, so if you hit -50% twice, then you are 100% KO'd

Bonus Mechanics This bonus is consumable. All participants get a flag, this flag will allow your character to notice something about the area they're stepping into. OOCly this means you can adjust your rolled number, up or down, by one point. Instinctive moves are used in the same manner as flags. These are stackable, so if you have 1 flag + 1 instinctive move, you can use them up in order to adjust your roll by two.
(If you roll a 1, you may not move your number down to 0, -1, or 10. And 10 cannot be adjusted to 1 or 11.)

And the first tile that Sasha stepped on gave way beneath her feet and she was sucked into a pit filled with writhing tentacles. It was spectacular. Status Step: 1 HP: 0 Flags: - Instinctive moves: -

As Wash stepped out onto the field, the sight of the slight, black-clad figure before him sent chills down his spine. A strange sense of deja-vu overcame him, and he started to speak - And then she was swallowed by a tentacle monstrosity. "Nice," he remarked dryly, voice echoing strangely inside his own facemask. This was definitely the Death lead's baby - it had his marks all over it. The tile he'd stepped onto seemed relatively safe however, and he waited for Sasha to rejoin him in a fresh golem. Sasha's second golem didn't fare well, either, as the tile she chose to step on exploded in a brilliant display of fire. It was breathtaking. Status Step: 1 HP: 0/40 Flags: Instinctive moves:

The sight of Sasha's golems getting mutilated repeatedly caused him to flinch, and he didn't notice the sharp caltrops laid across the next tile. He stepped on several, and felt them go straight through his golem's feet. "Jesus, Mary and Joseph!" Status Step: 2 HP: 25/50 Flags: 1/1 Instinctive moves: 0

He was much more careful this time, hopping to an empty tile and glancing back to see - Wince.Well, at least she was still standing. They were just golems, right? Five steps in, and Wash was already just about done. His golem's feet ached with every step, shredded as they were, and he was leaving little muddy footprints as it's insides slowly leaked out to become outsides. She could see Wash make it across the room like he was born to do it, and Sasha grunted softly under her breath. "This is probably worse than Jenga," she muttered, mostly to herself as she took another step forward. When it didn't explode or send her sailing, she allowed herself to relax.
