Sniffing around Dresden's stomach grumbles. He hadn't eaten in two days, he knew a small amount of the basic but wasn't fully sure. His mother had taught him that he should trust his sense of smell in times of need. He has smelt something sweet and he wasn't sure what it was, didn't really care either, he just wanted something. Moving slowly he cautiously went toward the smell, he was young barely a few months out of his egg. It didn't help he was slow to talking either. Quite stubborn he was and his mom was patient.
Finding a weird cave, he would later learn was called a building, with door open enough for him to wiggle on in. The sweet smells were defiantly here and his stomach grumbled again in anticipation of food.
What he found was not food but weird grass stuff, it did not taste good. His instincts had led him astray, looking around he hope to at least find something. Going toward the the back he finds a storage of food! Excitedly he digs in.
Hearing a deep voice talking he panics and looks around. He didn't want to be found by another dragon, he just wanted to be left alone. Quickly he hides in a bag of rice.

Humming to himself Gentleman J comes through the front doors of his establishment. only open about a few months it was doing quite well.
No one was hear today and he intended to enjoy the quite and bust into the new shipments of tea. Excitedly he heads to the back saying to himself "Now did Aralain say that the Gingerbread Dream Rooibos tea would be in the back?" He was sure she had said as much. she didn't want anyone to try it. It was a new flavor and he had to approve the taste first. heading to the back he smells something dirty, had the workers left the store room in such a gross state? It reeked.
Sniffing around he try's to locate the smell, it was coming from the rice. Rice didn't generally stink. Thinking about it he wasn't sure what to make of the smell. maybe a rat had snuck in it and died? Yes, that did seem to be the most logical scent. Reaching in slowly so as not to drop any rice on the floor he feels around. What a waste of rice he thinks to himself Oh well there's no helping it mice get everywhere. Stopping and glaring at the wall he growls. It bit him.....

He shouldn't have done that, he knew he shouldn't have. But it had reached in clearly knowing he was in there. Maybe he wasn't fast enough, maybe he left a mess? He wasn't sure. He just reacted and bit as hard as he could. still biting the dragon, he is pulled up. He looked quite angry but Dresden didn't care, he was angry too, at everything and everyone. Staring as hard as he could he stands his ground trying not to break eye contact. Looking at the dragon clearly now he realized how big the male was. his coat patter was peculiar as well he was a grey black with white consistent sized lines along his body. He also looked quite pissed, he was hiding it well but Dresden was familiar with anger and saw right through his eyes.

Unexpectedly he pulls up a wurm, dirt brown with darker brown patterns all over. He was also quite spiky and Johnny realized that he was glad he hadn't grabbed that part of the wurms body. It was staring at him now, not in fear, just with a determined expression of dominance. It was actually quite cute Johnny thought. Here he was picked up by a dragon 10 times his size and caught in the act of stealing food and the child had the audacity to stare at him as if he was going to hurt him somehow. He didn't laugh though he was a little irritated. He didn't like thieves in his shop. He would have to be punished some how. He would start simple first. "What are you doing in my shop." he says flatly. It was not a question and he didn't really need the answer, it was just a way to start figuring the wurm out for his punishment. He wanted to know what the little guy was like to appropriately decide. It just stared at him, refusing to answer and refusing to look away.

He wasn't sure what to do next. The male had asked him a question while glaring at him, clearly trying to intimidate him. He was not going to say anything for he had nothing to say he had a name and that was it, for what reason should he give his only right away to a stranger? So he stayed silent staring at him, he didn't care if he killed him, it wouldn't accomplish much.

....this was clearly going no where fast the kid was stubborn as hell. Johnny's head was clearing though and since he was in better temperament he realized a punishment really was unnecessary. The wurm clearly was looking for food, upon inspecting the stock room he could see proof of that. A few packages had been chewed open and eaten from. Looking back at the wurm he sighs grabs some jerky from a shelf that was to high for the wurm to reach and brings him to the dining area while maintaining his grip so he couldn't escape, clearly if given the chance the wurm would bolt. placing him down at a table he puts the jerky in front of the wurm and waits. Like a wild animal, he knew he would be hesitant.

Shocked Dresden didn't know what to do. The anger seemingly gone from his eyes the male takes him to another strange room and puts food in front of him. He didn't have to think for long, he knew he wanted it, but he didn't at the same time. He wasn't sure what was going on and why he was being offered food when moments ago it was the cause of why he was in trouble.
Sighing Johnny looks at the young wurm, his reaction was worse than he expected. The thing was nearly starved but refused to eat. He was probably an orphan and that would make his reaction more understandable. Most dragons became orphans when their parents are killed or they are abandoned by them completely. On the streets they learn quicker about territories and not touching other dragons food, rather than learning it at a more relaxed pace in the safety of a den. Many do not survive this way since effectively hunting something at their size doesn't really happen. "Eat it or I will" It was a command not a request.
Staring hard, Dresden eats. He hadn't had a full meal in awhile and the food was to much at first. He throws up, eating slower this time his stomach seems to do better. He wanted to cry, But he didn't. He wanted to thank him, but he didn't. He just ate.

He had been with johnny for a month now, He had learnt a lot too. Seeming to want Dresden to learn he had constantly given him work to do at the tea shop and when he wasn't working he was reading books that johnny had brought him. He also was staying at the tea house as punishment for breaking in, Johnny no longer wanted other rats to get in the store he had said and now it was Dresden's job to prevent it from happening again. Many time johnny was harsh and cold, but this had not concerned Dresden much at all, he had a home and he was no longer starving.
Still unwilling to talk Dresden always kept quiet and to himself, no other children came to play and he only saw adults and Johnny's Harem. He also didn't care about this, He did like the books though and often found himself engrossed in them for hours.
"Child" Johnny calls out "I know you are here somewhere, come out now" flatly he says this. It was annoying to try and hunt the damn boy down, he had become quite skilled at hiding his scent and usually holed himself up to read, he had given him the books hoping to judge where his literacy levels were since he wouldn't speak to anyone. Since he could clearly read he must be able to speak as well, but so far had refused to do so.
Crawling out from under a table minutes later Dresden nods at him.
Sighing in defeat he hands him the bucket "I will be having important guests tonight, make sure that everything is cleaned down. If it is not I'll take you books away again." Responding with a glare Dresden grabs the bucket handle with his mouth and wiggles angrily away. Stupid kid he mutter to himself as he leaves the building. He knew he should punish him properly but he couldn't seem to do it. He had a soft spot for the little b*****d, he should consider himself lucky! He didn't allow males into his harem, and although he was only at the shop others HAD begun to group the wurm into his harem. Also there was the problem that he was getting quite big, soon he would be growing his limbs and an abundance of testosterone would come with it. He didn't want to hurt him in a potential power struggle.

While walking down the path he contemplates what could have made the child unwilling to speak. He could make sounds, so he was not mute. Even dragons that somehow manage to live without their parents don't seem to be so closed off, this was an interesting puzzle, what part was the boy's natural personality and what part learned through whatever he experienced? He was noticeably cautious of males and females (except johnny for some reason), but more so of women. He seemed scared to touch them or even be around them for long. He liked mysteries though and knew with time he might actually learn what had happened.
Hearing a crash his thoughts are interrupted, shortly after he hears a small and brief whimper. He almost hadn't heard it it was so quite. Realizing he had just heard the boy for the first time ever, his blood begins to boil and a instinct overcomes him.
Tearing through the doors to his tea shop he observes the room, two male dragons and the boy limp in the corner. Growling fiercely he acts immediately, without realizing it Johnny had begun to think of the boy as a part of his harem. Now that he was his his rage would only be fed though blood.
The first male seeing johnny charge at him attempts to block Johnny's arms, they were now reaching toward him. It was fruitless, Johnny was a strong dragon, he had no special abilities like other dragons and had always trained to maintain greater strength. Grabbing a hold of his skull Johnny rams it into a table, busting through it and into the stone floor below. He continues this until the first dragons skull is so demolished he can no longer tell it's even a skull anymore. Turning to the other dragon he see's he has fled the scene, most likely hoping to escape after seeing his partners fate. This was not his day, Johnny anger had not been quelled. Giving chase he quickly gains ground on the second dragon, the dragon screams for him to stop but Johnny does not even bother responding. With one hand he grabs the dragons head and the other his arm, Johnny's jaws quickly wrap around his throat and he tears a massive chunk out.

Covered in blood he returns to the shop. He walks strait to the boy, grimacing at the thought of burying him. However he was not where he had saw him upon last entering the shop, there was a trail of blood from where he had been leading under one of the undamaged tables. Moving slowly he looks underneath, he was unconscious now but clearly breathing. Smiling, Johnny gently grabs the boy from underneath the table. He was taking him home, he couldn't leave the boy here, the body was still on the floor and the place was a mess, not an ideal place for him to wake up.
He felt like s**t.
Freezing in place and sniffing the air with his eyes closed Dresden does not recognize the smell. What had happened and where was he, he didn't remember much. Thinking back to what he could remember his muscles tensed. There were two dragons, they had broken in to steal from Johnny, they were taking his food. He had to stop them, it was his job, he did not want to loose this home too. They were so big but he had tossed his fear of them aside, it was irrelevant, they could not be here and ruin everything! That too was irrelevant as they tossed his aside like nothing, they even had the audacity to laugh at him! He attacked a second time and this time when he hit the wall he felt bones breaking and he yelped from the pain. He could barely stay conscious while watching them take Johnny's things, he wasn't doing what johnny had wanted and for the second time in his life he could protect nothing.
He must have passed out from the pain because what he remembered next was Johnny in the room, he had killed one of the dragons and the other dragon was gone. Chasing the other dragon Johnny is gone quickly as well. Not liking being in the open he slithers slowly under a table, feeling safer under cover he must have passed out again.
He was ashamed, could he do nothing right? Growling in frustration he opens his eyes but doesn't move much when he realizes his ribs hurt a lot. He needed something else to think about but he was so angry he could not think about anything other that what had happened at the shop and what had happened in the past. The door opens slowly and Johnny enters the room, seeing that Dresden is awake he sighs with relief. He is not angry? How could he not be angry with me! I did not do what I was there to do! Dresden looks away from Johnny ashamed and unwilling to let Johnny see.

The boy looked away from him grunting in pain from the movement and he was not all that surprised, his pride was probably wounded as well, he was good at hiding his emotions but it didn't matter, any males pride would be hurt after such an event. "Boy look at me" he says sternly, coddling him wouldn't help.
Looking at Johnny, he looks as indifferent as he possibly could this time refusing to grunt from the pain. He would not show his shame or pain, only doing so would make him feel weaker than he already did. Johnny had saved him though, more than he could have ever hoped for and he had not killed him either! Instead he took him somewhere safe. His heart beating a little he was a little more glad that he had met Johnny and he was beginning to look up to him, maybe a little more that he wanted to admit.
Now that the wurm had finally looked at him he could observe the wounds better, he was starting to heal but he still had broken bones. It would be awhile before he could get out of bed. "Your ribs are broken, do not move more than necessary and they will heal faster." Pausing, he knew what he wanted to say but didn't know how to say it without making him feel belittled. "When you are healed I will personally be seeing to your training." He couldn't say anymore regarding the attack there wouldn't be a point. "You will be staying here while you heal...You are of my harem now, As mine it is your right to stay here."
He had been claimed, he couldn't fight it. He wouldn't anyways. He only trusted Johnny and he was going to make him stronger, he wanted to be stronger. He had nothing to give Johnny in return for what he was doing for him, Harems never took on other dragons children it was practically unheard of. So he offered the only thing he could give him, the only possession he had. He turns his head and quietly says "Dresden".
