Since their most recent mission, Jake had begun to start questioning his skills, memories of the past events flashing through his head. Though the timelines had reset, he still remembered how the spikes had pierced the trainee's body, how he had been completely helpless... useless.
In his last bits of consciousness, he heard the hunter's voice screaming in his ears, cursing at him. Even now, he wasn't sure what to believe. It seemed Stormy was ok now, and no one... was... seriously maimed or dead, but he still couldn't shake the feeling of fear. If he didn't get stronger, the same thing would happen again.
Gritting his teeth, he made up his mind, pulling out his phone.kurotomato Text to Gale: You free? I want to spar.

He was reading when he got the text. The very unexpected text. Gale eyed his phone with a somewhat suspicious glance before he decided to actually answer it, typing out a slow message.TEXT TO JAKE Fine. Meet me on the training grounds in five. When his phone buzzed, he flipped it open and stared at the message.
Well, uh...
Jake looked around him, very much already at the training grounds. It was where he often went to clear his mind. One could say it was almost his second home, or... where he'd often be besides his own room. If he recalled correctly, here was... where he had first met Gale, after that first mission. He couldn't believe it had been that long. How time flew.
