Spec-ops agents were the best of the best; the best fighters, the most ruthless warriors, those that did not bat an eye when taking the life of another. Captain Labyrinthite was proud to call himself a solider within that branch. It was why he could be found in the depths of the Rift, his home away from home, standing before the corrupt senshi he had escorted. The pair stood beside a ruin of an arena, now made primarily of broken pillars varying in size.
What was once the entrance lay collapsed before their feet curving in a circle opposite of them, walls climbing in jagged height before falling again. Columns stood high and others sprawled across the ground creating an interesting layout. It was his preferred place to spar, it provided with varying heights and obstacles much like the city. Perfect to learn.
"Typhon," Labyrinthite addressed his companion, turning on gray heels, amber eyes sweeping across the senshi's frame. His weapon materialized in his hand, blade pointed towards the ground. "Are you ready?" An eyebrow was arched as he waited for an answer. If Typhon was to stand beside him in special operations, the captain would ensure he was fit for it.

This Rift place never ceased to creep the living daylights out of the Corrupted Senshi of Hurricanes, still getting adjusted to the ways of the new organization. Chase - Labyrinthite - had been a huge help in getting him started, and his understanding of the agency's operations were getting clearer and clearer. However, his own abilities within the organization remained to be pretty untested. "Oh yeah, this seems fair and fun," Typhon rolled his eyes when the stronger agent, the Captain, pulled out a scythe to attack him with, unarmed and hardly clothed. He had trained in combat and fitness alongside other Special Operations officers, although this was his first real training test. His first time putting what he learned to any kind of use - and without training weapons. With a cocky grin he flipped some of his long hair back. "Come at me, bro."

He could fight without the help of his weapon, but he had long since learned to treat the scythe as an extension of his arm. The days where it had simply been a useful tool to him had long passed, now it was a part of him just as Typhon's magic was a part of him. That was the point of the day's training exercise. To learn the extent of his magic.
He couldn't keep from smirking at his companion's comment. "Oh, most certainly fun," he countered, expression turning devilish. Hardly a beat passed before the solider was darting forward, eyes trained on the senshi, lashing out with the blade pointed away so the head would come in contact with his opponents abdomen without drawing blood. Yet.
He wasted no time with a follow up, fist coming up to crash into Typhon's cheek. There were no reservations behind his attacks (well, except for pointing the blade away from point of contact) for his punches were thrown with much force behind them.

Combat training had prepared Typhon's reaction speeds for times like this, although he could only predict so many moves at once. He thrust his hips and abdomen backwards to dodge the scythe, but his face was still vulnerable to the punch across the cheek. Typhon stumbled to the side with the blow, brushing the sore spot with his hand as if to wipe away the pain before furiously turning back to the captain. "Cheap shot," he muttered, more disappointed in himself than anything. He stayed in his position, preferring the enemy to come to him and stay defensive rather than weaken himself with any large movements. "But don't tell me that's the best you've got."

His initial response was to snort as he spun on his heel and did a sidekick. While his face remained stony his eyes were bright with excitement. Banter was one of his favorite parts of dueling, depending on the partner of course. "Hardly," he countered not hesitating to slide forward, arms up defensively, and follow up with a double roundhouse.
"This is only the beginning," he taunted, flickers of the grin he was suppressing showing. He paused, leveling out his breath before he side-stepped. Slowly, bouncing on the balls of his feet, he began to circle the senshi. He was letting opportunities pass him to test how Typhon would react while having him in such close range.
His weapon was held loosely in his right hand, roughly at the middle of the base. He was ready to toss it and reposition as needed. When he felt he held back long enough he slid forward again, aiming his left fist for the gut.

As the captain sent not one, but two, kicks flying in his direction, Typhon hopped backwards to dodge. Roundhouses were powerful kicks, but they were a move he was trained to watch out for - which was something he had learned the hard way. Although he had dodged the kicks, he now found himself being encircled by Labyrinthite. "Come on, are you going to hit me or just circle me like a p***y?" he taunted, eyes following the other boy. The captain was in close enough range to be within Typhon's territory - he excelled at this close-range combat, thanks to his Senshi abilities - but waited for the right moment to use it. He eyed the captain's weapon - a loose grip, it looked like. Perhaps a large blast would disarm him? As soon as the captain made a move forward, Typhon rose his arms and shouted out for his ability. "TYPHON CYCLONE!" For fifteen seconds and in a three-foot-radius around his waist, powerful winds quickly formed at windspeeds of eighty miles per hour - swirling around him and picking up dust to shape like a hurricane, with the Senshi standing in its eye like a hula-hoop. It served as a nice buffer between him and anything trying to come at him, effective at knocking back opponents and doing some collateral damage. He hoped to time the cast correctly to blast back the captain and hoped to maybe disarm him, and blow the weapon back a few feet further if he could for a more fair fight.

Labyrinthite noted that training had favored Typhon as he successfully dodged his kicks. "More like a predator circling it's prey," he retorted, eyes narrowing. It wasn't the first time he had referred to a senshi as his prey, both on the white moon and chaos side because that's what they were. He was the predator and they were his prey. Most of the time.
Typhon Cyclone!
Amber eyes widened and he braced himself, throwing his arms before him in an X format. His head was bent down, squinting as he tried to dig his heels in against the rough winds whipping around the senshi. In his haste, the scythe flew from his hand into the vortex, spinning round and round with the threat of launching itself back at him.
Teeth were gritted as he began to slide backward when he was forced to throw himself to the ground as a chunk of stone flew past him from the force of the magic. Unfortunately throwing himself out of the way proved to be at his disadvantage when it made him lose what grounding he had. So, instead of ducking for cover, he found himself tossed back into a pillar like a rag doll.
Though it hurt like a b***h he let no sound escape his lips from impact. He stood, palm pressed against the cool stone with a dark grin on his lips. "Now, things have gotten fun," he strolling forward like he hadn't been thrown into stone moment before. "Is that all you got?" He asked, throwing back the taunt.

"I've got a lot more where that came from," Typhon teased, clutching his junk with one hand and pointing down to this with the other hand, as he did a firm pelvic thrust clearly mouthed the words, "Suck it." Truthfully, that was his best move, but at least now his opponent was disarmed so the fight was a little more fair. He shifted into a boxing stance as he waited for Labyrinthite to get closer, holding up his fists to block any incoming punches he may to try to pull.

The gesture was crude but it brought a half smirk to his lips. "Cute," he commented dryly. "But isn't that a post-party treat?" He asked sarcastically. Briefly his eyes flickered away from the senshi to the scattered pink scythe, with a wave of his hand it had vanished.
He could easily resummon it but he preferred to fight hands on, without it's aid and clearly that had been what his opponent wanted. Labyrinthite was more than happy to oblige. Advancing forward his arms stayed by his side and he watched, waiting to see if Typhon would attempt to strike as soon as he came into range.
Instead of punching however, Labyrinthite dropped low with his palm touch the ground and lashed out a sweeping kick.

Typhon was prepared for a punch, but not for a leg swipe. He held his ground for a moment after impact, stumbling forward and to the side before completely losing his balance and falling to the cold hard ground. He fell onto his hip and left arm, his funnybone triggering as the arm went numb. "d**k," he grumbled as he then tried to swipe a kick back towards Labyrinthite while staying on the ground. It wasn't the best idea to stay on the floor during combat, but his arm was still too numb and weak to pick himself up just yet.

He should have done a follow-up attack, instead he watched the senshi stagger then fall. Disappointment flickered across his face as he shook his head so slightly when he advanced. He had expected more from his sparring partner, but he needed to cut the boy some slack. He was new and he was trying.
But Labyrinthite couldn't help but think that trying wasn't good enough.
"Disappointing," he remarked, jumping back to avoid the halfhearted kick. Things happened quickly, like the blink of an eye, and he was towering above his fallen opponent. A heel came down, intending to slam into Typhon's gut and fingers were grabbing his shirt to yank him up. "I expect better."
He never said he would go easy.

For once, Sailor Typhon was speechless. It wasn't that he didn't have a comeback lined up. He just literally could not get the words out of his mouth. It wasn't entirely his fault - he was winded, understandably. After all, his gut was just slammed on by the heel of a captain, then was jerked around by the neck of his shirt. The boy needed to catch his breath. Unable to come up with any words, Typhon opted for hawking a loogie and spitting towards the captain's face, then using any energy he can muster to try and push the captain off him. "Take your disappoints and ******** yourself with them." There. There were some words!

It had been a mistake to bring his face so close to the others but it had also been a mistake for Typhon to spit in his face. One hand remained curled into the fabric of his shirt and the other came up to wipe the spit from his face. Labyrinthite shook his head with a sneer across his face. He thought to reply but decided actions spoke louder than words so he let go, seemed to move back only to shove Typhon back.
He threw a punch, aimed for his opponents face.
"Instead of working on your insults," he hissed, "you should work on your battle skills."

"But I'm so witty," he grinned, just before being punched in the face. The punch startled his senses quite a bit, even though he could see it coming. It was a freebie shot, he felt, probably deserved. He stumbled back a step, then forward two more to get close to Captain Labyrinthite. He rose his right fist to give a punch to the face, but it was no more than a decoy as he attempt a small but hard jab to the nuts with his left fist. It was a dirty move, but things were always more fun dirty.

His fist connecting with Typhon's face was satisfying but what was more satisfying was that his opponent did not crumble to the ground. He remained standing, though he staggered back then forward again. Labyrinthite was not going easy on the newbie and was pleased to see that he still had fight left in him.
His left arm came up reflexively to block the punch but saw the hidden move just seconds too late. His right hand shot out in an attempt to stop Typhon's attack but caught the wrist just after his fist connected with his groin.
He doubled over, teeth gritting as he struggled to not make a sound. He failed however when a hissing groan left his lips. His knees buckled beneath him and his fingers curled into his palms.
He didn't applaud playing dirty but he could not blame the other or fault him because he too had a tendency to play dirty. He glared up Typhon as his knees connected with stone. "Cheap," he hissed, red-faced.
He just needed a minute, then he would retaliate.
