"General King Zinkenite!" His voice rang clear in the all but empty hall, chiming after the young man who carried a rank higher than his own; one who had been a part of this long enough to have continued on climbing past the level he had reached when Richterite had first been brought in to darkness.
"Might I have a moment of your time, Sir?" He spoke respectfully, amazingly enough given the last conversation he could remember having with the other. Hellworth. It was good to be out of there...
"I am sure your time is precious, as always..." There was that light trace of arrogance, that small glimmer of amusement in his eyes; still himself, or at least trying to be. "But just a moment..."

“It’s been a while Lieutenant.” He replied with a casual air that might have had a thin edge of satisfaction in it. After all, he’d hardly been the rank he now was when last they spoke, but Richterite was…still Lieutenant. He might have to fix that now he thought about it.
“What’s on your mind?” He lifted his chin slightly. “Questions, concerns… ?”

"Both." He nodded simply, resisting the urge to cross his arms over his chest by summoning his weapon, giving the cards a quick shuffle. It was clear by how easily the action came to him that it was something he did often; in thought, in combat... Old habits.
"It seems like a lot of things have changed since we last spoke." Obvious. Understatement. A bit of both, all in all. "Should all reports be entered in to that database of yours or are there some things that we should be more... Direct about when it comes to our concerns?"

“If you have a concern about something you feel would be…compromised if you entered it into the system then by all means, come to me directly.” He nodded. “I won’t take anything at face value mind you, I’ll look into things unless I have a very good reason to believe you without question, but if you are worried you can come directly to me.”
He waited a moment and then prompted. “Assuming now that you are in fact concerned, what has you worried, or who?”

"Permission to speak freely, Sir?" He put a bit of extra emphasis on that last word, brow lofting just slightly as though he was going to speak freely anyways.
"The Negaverse has me worried. Granted, it had me at least a little bit concerned before, given the various messes that I've gotten myself into, but... Was that guy for real in there? Why must we learn zese things about ze senshi?" He rolled his eyes, doing a poor impersonation of the other Lieutenant as he shuffled through his cards again in a most agitated manner.
When he realized what he was doing he stopped, vanishing the cards back in to their subspace with a flick of his wrist, turning cool eyes to the General King. "He's going to get himself killed, or he's going to get someone else killed, and I'm sure he's somewhere on the list for a promotion too..." If some of the others that he had spoken to were any proof that it didn't necessarily take brains to get that extra stripe on your uniform.
"Are we really at that much of a standstill that there are those amongst us who don't know what we're up against?" That question lacked the agitation; softly spoken and very confused.

“You can only expect so much out of our freshest recruits, they will learn, they will learn far faster than they may be ready to.” He shook his head thoughtful. “The fact we have Generals and Captains who don’t seem to know the most basic things, as though they needed their hands held to open their ears… that worries me.”
“So rather than worry about who else is on what list for promotion, I’d question why you haven’t been promoted yet. Rising to captain isn’t hard, General is harder… where have you BEEN Lieutenant?” he tipped his head and glanced you over.
“How long have you been playing card tricks? Things stagnate Lieutenant, and then… change happens, suddenly, painfully. Human nature, chaotic nature perhaps, but it happens. Are you looking to be a force of change Lieutenant? Are you up to holding a few hands?”

"Where have I been? Lost. Wandering. Alone. Or maybe those three things are what I have been, and not where. I asked for this. It didn't just happen. I wasn't in the wrong place at the wrong time like some of these others seem to be." His eyes narrowed, taking on that angry gleam again.
"I've been playing them long enough that I know my weapon inside and out." Too long. "I'm good at what I do and I come with great recommendation." So what if General Painite was a little off her hobby horse, he knew that she would still vouch for him. That would speak words for him, wouldn't it? "If you want me to deal them a few cards to see how they handle a rough hand in a match, they're never going to take me seriously like this." Two years as Lieutenant.... But the things he had learned. The experience he could share.

“Good for you that you asked, I didn’t…” He confided with a blank expression. “You know the basics, I assume you know them –very- well at this point. I think perhaps that that, and other notes contributed to the old database file on you are enough to warent this, but please, don’t make me regret it. Believe me, I have enough concerns in the evenings without wondering if you were a good choice for Captain.” He pushed his hand into his chest and pushed corruption into the already darkened star seed. The precious core of the young man was not the only thing that darkened.

There was no time for the startled look to settle upon his soft features; no time for second guessing or potential regret. All of those things were pushed to the very back of his mind, drowned out by excruciating pain. It blossomed from within his very core, the tendrils of Chaos spreading out to envelop him, drawing him deeper... Down, down...
Richterite dropped to his knees, a choked gasp parting his lips as he gave in to it. There was no point at all in denying it or resisting.... The corruption had already taken hold of him. This was nothing new. This was merely an awakening; a confirmation, of sorts... A strong reminder of who he was and where he belonged.
I know it hurts, trust me, but you've been reborn!
Those words echoed in his head as if it had been only days since a chipper blonde had brought him over to the dark side, proudly shoving those words at him before telling him that tacos, of all things, would make the hurt less. He groaned at the thought, severely doubting that General King Zinkenite was going to offer to take him out for dinner after all of this...
When he had gotten a better grasp of himself, the power and the pain, he rose to his feet, wobbling slightly. "You won't regret it."
