User ImageWhat was she going to do? A small whimper escaped her throat, and for a split second, she wasn’t sure if it was actually her own voice or not. Feiurce, eyes half open, walked forward steadily. She could feel her legs quivering with each small step, uncertain as to if she was getting anywhere closer to her destination. She had lost her directional skills not too long ago, from her lack of appetite and will to think. Everything was a blur of colors and structures. She wasn’t sure what was going on with her own form, but she had a small guess.

The plant that nestled right behind her ear let out an almost chirping, squealing noise. Vines shifted along her neck, grasping as tight as they could. Feiurce let out a soft gasp at the feel, eyes fluttering, before they closed and she breathed out a sigh. She hadn’t fed the small blue and gold plant yet. Not since she was a foal, and woke up to it munching rather happily on some dead bugs. She guessed that was what it ate; much like a Venus Fly Trap. Though, as she matured, so did the plant. And it hadn’t eaten. It was starting to wilt, and made different noises than she was used to hearing coming from it.

In her travels, the young Cerynei had ran into an older Soquili. He had told her that the plant that nestled within her hair was one that fed off the flesh of decaying corpses. Sometimes even the organs and bones as well. Shocked, Feiurce just kind of stared, laughing in a strained humor. It wasn’t until he had offered it the body of a dead bird, did she realize that he spoke the truth. The plant ate the bird quickly, and she was even filled with a sort of energy that was unexplainable to her own form. She wasn’t certain what to do about it, or how often it needed to eat. It frightened her. She continued to talk with the older horse, and found a rumor of a graveyard, very close to Skinwalker territory, where corpses were often found. In this place, she could probably feed him, at least once a week, and be able to keep him healthy while she herself could still roam.

So that was where she was heading. Feiurce lifted her bright eyes toward the sky, staring up through the trees at the rays of light that shone through. It was lovely, honestly. So serene and beautiful. But she had a feeling it wouldn’t last long, considering the graveyard was supposed to be around this way. As she progressed, the forest got a bit tighter, more dense. She found herself squeezing through some gaps until she could make her way to the other side. Ears flicking, she frowned, her eyes lingering on the ground at her hooves for a moment, before lifting up. She had to be close. The air smelled of death and solitude. Shaking out her long mane, she slowly started forward again, steps cautious and guarded. She wasn’t going to make herself known to a Skinwalker, if she could help it. The plant let out another noise, now snapping it’s large mouth at the smell of the air.

Within the dense confines of the forest, the graveyard was covered in a fine layer of fog this afternoon; the heat of the summer humidity hitting the near by lake and marshes often resulted in the eerie atmosphere...although many would probably believe if was just due to the the location....wasn't a graveyard supposed to be creepy? It was beautiful in the eyes of the gravekeeper stallion who as he'd done for years and would continue to do so did his rounds along the paths; weaving around dark trees and rows of graves. Within the middle of his graveyard was a rolling hill or two, distorting the landscape a little but it was more for his benefit really; it gave him a more wide ranged view of his home.

Loping up the hill and weaving around a few trees he glanced at the sight before him...his sanctuary; in which it truly was. There were not many places which could boast having some protection; and this was one of him. The absolute stench of the graveyard nearly masked his scent perfectly so it was never a problem for him to be so close to the darkest location in the lands - the skinwalker graveyard. It also didn't help the satchel he carried was also constantly producing its own aroma as he kept many dead little creatures in there....some more moist than dry. Yet it brought the morbid stallion a sense of peace that all was well in his graveyard, the birds refused to sing, the wind was a near non existant, a vibrant ghostly figure off the west gate...

....wait.

Frowning as he scrunched his face in a most cringing manner he kept focused on the approaching figure worming out from the dense trees which opened up just enough to keep the graveyard open but still protected from the daytime with thick canopies of branches overhead. Even at this distance her white pelt was blinding on his eyes; not to mention the golden mop on her head. How painful.... in his world of greys, muddy browns and other muted tones to have one so bright enter in have him a mild headache....or so he would like to admit. None the less, she was soon to be intruding on his paradise...and so he would have to make his judgement and quickly.

Loping down from the hill he vanished into the thicker fog for a moment out of sight, winding around from the east side to the west along the tall stone wall made so long by the humans which used to love not that far away. The darkness of the majority of his coat was always an advantage to him; and as he approached the stone arch he cleared his voice and stepped out; blocking her way any further into the graveyard with a rather sharp eye staring at the mare through the great bone bird mask covering his face.

"....and where do you think you're heading..?" His tone was deep, but smooth; mildly creepy as one would definitely not like per say in the middle of the night while it was pitch black.

Feiurce blinked somewhat, her eyes flickering around. The bright blue eyes lingered toward the ground, before lifting up toward the sky. It was so dark, despite being only around high noon. The small plant let out a whimpering noise, shifting somewhat behind her ear. Said ear swiveled back toward the blue and orange pet that was permanently attached to her. It wanted food. Need it, or else it would continue to make her sick. And as much as Feiurce feared what it ate, it was more so the need to understand. She wasn't raised around decaying flesh; on the contrary, her family raised her in a very beautiful area, where everything seemed perfect. But now, now she had to find a place where the plant could eat; where it could grow and keep her healthy. She shook out her mane some, careful not to be too eratic in case the plant needed assistance, before she let her gaze flickering down toward the ground once more. The gems that attached along her forehead jingled lightly with the motion, before falling still.

It was then that she heard it. someone was moving out there. Tilting her head to the side, Feiurce glanced around, her body stark still, tail giving a half flick. Where was it? She knew she had heard something out there... thought now, she couldn't hear a thing. Maybe it was just the location, scaring her into thinking things were out there; things that would grab her and take her someplace no one would ever be able to protect her. Shaking her head, she breathed out a sigh. There was no way. Nothing was here. The older stallion had assured that. It was deserted, so no one would be here and she could feed the plant in silence and peace, and then leave. Leave and return later when it was hungry again. Eventually she would get used to the smells and the sights, but for now, she just wanted to get a feel of it, feed the plant, and leave. Feiurce took a half step forward, before stopping short, her eyes falling on the creature before her, heart skipping a beat at the sudden appearance.

He was tall, which was easy to do with how small Feiurce was. His fur was dark, except for the white markings that littered him. Bone markings, it appeared. The thing that caught her eyes the most was all the trinkets. The feathers and black strings, the bone mask and the bones near his ankles. She eyed the bag for a moment, before letting her eyes flicker up toward the stallion's eyes again. Gulping, she tilted her head to the side, before lowering her gaze for a moment, then lifting it back up toward the stallion, staring at him with questions and some fear. She didn't know anyone would be here. He had promised. He had promised that no one was here. Flicking her ears, she shook her head slowly, and took a half step back.

"I..." She stumbled over her words, before blinking and shook her head slightly. "... I have to um... I have to feed my...." She paused, uncertain what to call the creature, before her eyes flickered back up toward the stallion, staring at him with curious, somewhat confused and scared eyes.
