as far as opinions go......
they are loyally obeying....the will of satan.
hate filled lives who strive to spread hate, defiling the word of God and attacking his people using an excuse of cultural justice saying its their right. and STILL going in speaking as if they are the will of God....they make me sick...and though it is wrong of me to think or speak as such...I really wish God...just struck them all with lightning and burned down their heretic church

Check out this video online. I don't know what it's called, but it's about a girl who quit going to the church because they picketed a dead soldiers funeral and it ended in violence. She left and explained it. They said they'd rarely even read the bible.

Gonna pass on the video, I know how corrupt that church is.
I don't wish that they would be struck by lightning though, thats not a Christ like attitude however I do with that they would turn from their current ways.
Also they have the right to protest, just because you don't like them and what they do they still have the right to as long as it is non-violent, too bad the majority of the members tend to completely loose it when out in public.

I see a lot of hating for the fact that they protest and stuff on Facebook.
I'm just like they have the same rights that we do. .-.
Same with free speech.
They are suppose to go protest the funeral of a band member from Slayer soon.
That should be interesting, Slayer fans are crazy insane, google pics of them before or during a show. ;o
Westboro will get served if they try anything.

I understand that they have rights. However, if they EVER protested at my uncle's funeral (he is in the military) i would end them. He is one of the most loving and hard-working men i have ever met. He loves Jesus, and is an all around great man. Now when he dies, and they protest, if you expect any of them to go away unharmed you are horribly mistaken. I know that makes me a terrible christian, but i am NOT ok with protesting the funeral of soldiers. I am NOT ok with spreading their lies of hate into the world. As far as I'm concerned, all they deserve is a one way ticket to hell. You reap what you sow, and spreading that God hates everyone is practically signing up for a permanent time share in hell. I really wish they would stop calling themselves a church and call themselves what they really are. Westboro Baptist satanists.

Alashuko The Fighter I don't have a problem with their protest. I'm just worried that they are gonna probably kill somebody. And that's likely to happen They're not going to kill someone. The whole family are lawyers. They're smart about what they do. They'd much rather people attacked them, so they could sue them.

They're not Satanists.... they're theists, they worship Christ and YHWH. They're Christians. They're just pretty bad at it. They're theoretically heretics, but to be honest, everyone's a heretic to someone. To them, you're a heretic. My impression is not that THEY hate people. They seem to think their actions - telling people god hates them - are loving, because they interpret them as honest. That's if they're not just total trolls. Love your enemies! I don't think it's meant to be easy.

Okay, I pretty much never say things like this because I'm all for free speech and freedom of religion and freedom of expression and all those nice touchy-feely things, HOWEVER, the Westboro Baptist Church is a blight upon humanity. Their theology is filled with hate and even though they call themselves Christian, their actions and ideology is about as far from Christ as it's possible to get. They give a bad name not just to Christians, but to all mankind.
Thankfully their movement, although very vocal, is relatively small, and most (if not all) members are all part of the same big family, either by blood or by marriage.
I don't actively wish any misfortune upon any of them. I don't hate them. In fact I frequently pray for God to open their minds and their hearts and purge them of their vehement hatred.
More than anything, they confuse me. I cannot fathom how any person, or persons, could harbour so much hate towards their fellow man.
And I support people's right to protest, but protesting people's funerals, and spewing their hateful beliefs at grieving friends and family is really, really low. I don't see how anybody with even a shred of empathy could do the sorts of things that they do.
And you know the sorts of people who lack empathy? Psychopaths. Serial killers. I'm not saying that the members of Westboro Baptist are psychopaths. I don't know enough about them (or psychology in general) to make that call, but when I see people committing acts (even non-violent acts) so utterly devoid of empathy, it frightens me. Empathy is what drives us to be kind to one another, to help one another, to care about one another. And movements that have a foundation lacking empathy, that de-humanise certain groups of people, well...that's been the basis of things like the Holocaust and other mass genocides.
I don't actually believe that the Westboro Baptists are the next Hitler. Not enough people take them seriously enough for them to pose a genuine threat to the overall well-being of mankind, but the kind of thinking that they propagate is that scary to me.
But as I said, thankfully their movement is relatively small and not taken seriously by the general population. And I can't help but pity them. Carrying around that much hate and anger must make for a fairly miserable existence. sad

You'll find videos of her They do realise that America only has like...what, three or four states out of 50 that allow legal same-sex marriage, and maybe a handful more that will recognise same-sex marriages that took place in another state or country, right? And yes, the Sandy Hook children were obviously spawns of pure evil who deserved to die. For God's sake, they were in primary school. Sometimes I do wonder if they really are just the best real-world trolls ever. Maybe that's just wishful thinking, though, because I'd rather believe that their antics are just a really tasteless joke than believe that anyone could actually truly believe such hateful things.
