Maia stood on the rooftop of a the Destiny City Daily or something to that effect. She really didn't know, she didn't have time to read or what the news, since she was often living the news. It had been a long long time since she picked up a newspaper and she wondered how many other's just didn't. She knew of course avoiding the newspaper and news reports in general wasn't really helpful to anyone and resolved to try to remember the paper when she could.

She finished scanning the alleyway on one side of the building before heading to the other side to look down and see that everything seemed to be clear and she could relax for a moment or two before moving on. It was often that way lately. She held training session, patrolled and went home no worse for wear.

She looked up to the sky as her shouldered relaxed slightly thinking it might be a good idea for her to go to Maia again soon. It had really been to long since she'd take a trip to her star's planet.

Ever since draining energy from civilians was back on the table, Captain Mica had been in good spirits, and while she would have preferred the feel of starseeds in her pocket, she would accept energy orbs as a suitable substitute for the moment. It was one step closer to being the Negaverse she once knew and was proud to be a part of, and who was she to look a gift horse in the mouth?

No, on a normal day, she could have no only grabbed that gift that the horse offered, by grabbed its tongue and thrown the witless beast to the ground before depriving it of its life. But tonight, things were different. She decided that she would try to play along, and given the pisspoor route that her civilian life had taken, at least she had her duties to perform to keep her mind occupied. And she was certain to drain this unfortunate fellow of every last bit of energy he possessed, to make up for all of the energy she could not collect, either from her absence or her orders.

He was beginning to appear gaunt when she felt the slightest pull from a distant Order aura, and she waited until he had groaned and gone limp in her arms before pulling herself away and moving in that direction. She wasn't immediately approaching it, but she wanted to get closer to it, to get a better feel of who or what it may have been. Whoever it was felt strong, even from this distance, and Mica was certain that it belonged to an Eternal ranked senshi. What else would have such an annoyingly vibrant feel to them?

"Looks like someone needs their feathers plucked." Mica said to the drained man, not really caring if he was conscious or even alive. No, her attention was solely on that aura, and something about it called to her. She wasn't sure what, but she would not ignore its sweet, siren call. With spear in hand and her turquoise eyes glistening in the darkness as brightly as the amber Rainbow Crystal she carried, she moved closer towards the Destiny City Daily, to the origin of that aura. She had ample amounts of energy on hand, and she was feeling quite lucky today...

She was about to move on when Maia felt the other headed toward her after a few moments and frowned slightly trying to feel the other out, she could tell who ever was headed for her wasn't a general, no this was no Benitoite. She briefly wondered if the nega was headed for her or was possible trying to go around her. She frowned knowing as much as she would rather not fight, that wasn't setting the best example to just let negaversers run about wild and free.

Sighing she turned and starting across the building heading for the aura that was headed for her. It didn't take long to see a spear wielding negaverse and she stopped a deep frown marring her face. It always had to be a spear, so something ridiculously pointy. She would like not to have yet another scar caused by stabbing, though the first had been an arrow, but it was the same difference.

Now the only question was, did the weapon signify attack or defense? Maia was on guard just in case, poised to spring out of the way of an attack.

ChibiGingi
Didn't know where her hood was up or down so I didn't have Maia recognize her.

It didn't take long to find the source of the Order aura, and while her chance to get the sneak attack was ruined when the Senshi spotted her, any thought of stealth was gone from her mind when she set eyes on a familiar face. She recognized every feature of this Senshi, though the last time she had seen her, she wouldn't have registered this rank to that face.

It was Sailor Maia...

And yet, even as she recognized her foe, it seemed that Maia did not. At least, not immediately. Had the hood covered her features, or was her absence from the Negaverse so great that even someone she considered her arch nemesis to not even recognize her?

Maia was smart to be on the alert, as the moment she was in sights, Mica lunged forward with an attack, bringing the amber colored crystal at the front and going straight for her gut. Whether it was the hood or her long absence, she'd make Maia pay for not recognizing her!

Kaori_luv
Yep, we can keep her hood down if you'd like.

Maia didn't have to recognize her attacker to know to get out of the way and she quickly jumped to the side, not wanting a gut full of amber crystal. She frowned deeply at it recognizing it, for she had a crystal of her own, not that she used it very often or at all really.

The hood flew back really the brown skinned girl and someone Maia hadn't seen in so long. Mica. Maia gasped and was even more on alert that she had been before because this girl even if it was so long ago that they had seen each other had reason to hate her.

"It's not wise to go attack people out of the blue you know," she said softly to the girl, "especially one you haven't seen and years. I've changed since the last time we met." So had Mica, but Maia didn't mention that. She was probably antagonizing the girl enough as was and she was entirely certain she didn't want to rile her up overly so.

Mica wasn't too discouraged that her target was able to dodge her attack, and normally she'd feel a sense of excitement overwhelm her at the prospect of a good fight. But with Maia, there was no such feeling within her. She wanted there to be, but the sight of the eternal senshi dodging only drove the spear of anger deeper into her chest. How dare she dodge?!

In response to Maia's words, she gave a cold spat, no humor and no attempt to hide her true emotions was made. No, she'd allowed Maia to see her disgust, her anger, perhaps in hopes of instilling some of that old fear back into her, even if only momentarily. "I don't care for your change. You're still a senshi of the White Moon, and my enemy... nothing will change that."

It was foolish to attack an eternal, but Mica held no fear, even when a part of her told her that she should have. She had no idea what Maia was capable of now, but that didn't stop her next strike, giving her spear a swing and hoping to cut into her flesh once more. She knew she should have held more control over her actions and her emotions, but she did not want to believe that Maia had changed. That Maia had surpassed her.

She refused!

Maia frowned at Mica's hatred, her look said it all, she didn't even need the confirm words. The words that told Maia that this wasn't something she was going to get away from and she was going to have to fight. She feared how far she would have to go. She would use her eternal attack if necessary, but it wasn't something she enjoyed going or wanted to subject to anyone.

She dodged the spear once more, face screwed up slightly in irritation, but no real fear. Mica had pissed her off, fully the last time they met, but no of the anger and indignation of what she had done had fully stayed with her. Even if Mica had taken a life, Maia had sadly seen much worse since them.

The spear caught on her bow when she spun away tearing it before it was released. It hardly phased Maia, it wasn't her skin. She was however extremely wary of the spear itself. She had a scar from one already, didn't think want to add another.

Maia dropped down and swung out her leg at Mica's lower calf just above her ankle wanting to knock the girl off her feet. She'd have to worry about the spear less if she forces hand to hand combat.

Maia's blow connected, distracting Mica from what little good she was able to do- she was hoping to hit her flesh but only managed to graze her bow, and the sight of shredded fabric angered her far more than the kick to her calf, initially. Why? Why couldn't she land a hit on Maia? Surely she hadn't become that much stronger, had she?

There was little time to dwell on this as Mica was forced to drop to one knee, giving a pained hiss as not only did the initial blow hurt, but her other knee scraped against the pavement, ignoring the fabric and digging right into her flesh. Had she taken a moment to check, she was certain that she'd have blood dripping down her leg, but there was simply no time for that. Because of the angle, her opponent was too close to use her spear readily, so she went for a lunge instead, hoping to ram her shoulder into her gut and force her back enough to wear she could put her weapon to some use.

What was worse was that there was still no fear in Maia's form, only anger, and resolve, and that made Mica shout as she steeled her shoulder for impact. "I will kill you!"

Mica's recovery was quick and while Maia was coming back up from her kick Mica rammed right into her hip despite having aimed for gut. She groan and was pushed back a small it, but made a quick grab for Mica's hood with her right hand not wanting to be pushed to far away from the girl. No way was she allowing this to become long range right now.

Her other hand pushed out palm open right toward Mica's shoulder not wanting the other to ram her further. She just need to get a bit of leverage and she could plant her own heel right into Mica's stomach if she got the chance.

Maia intended to wear her down, sing a song and leave her alone and on the rooptop watching Maia head of into the distance. Hopefully she learn not to go attacking other at random. Hopefully Maia herself wouldn't find herself in some real danger if her plan didn't go quite right.

Time and time again, Mica's every move was countered, deflected, and the Negaverse captain couldn't understand where exactly it was that she was failing at. Yes, she knew that Maia had gained her Eternal rank, but there was something else. It was something that she had seen in the White Moon Senshi as of late, a means of defending themselves, of fighting back. They had gained not only confidence, but resolve, and courage...

Was that it? What that was Mica was lacking now? She had disappeared for almost a year and now it showed, more than ever! When she could not even push Maia, dainty little Maia, down, it was not only a strength that Maia had earned, but a flaw in herself.

This moment of clarity hit her now, moments too late, when she felt Maia's heel in her stomach when she failed to push through. Something about feeling a sharp pain in one's gut was the perfect opportunity for one to see their own flaws, and Mica should have accepted this. Whereas she spent her time hiding, moping, lamenting the changes that were occurring around her, Maia... had evolved. She got better.

Part of her wanted to accept this, but another part of her screamed, and it was that part of her that made her desperate. She dropped her spear and tried to free herself from Maia's grip, willing to rip the fabric of her hood to get herself into a fighting position. She should have given up, but... why couldn't she? She suspected she couldn't beat Maia... but she wasn't ready to accept it. Not yet.

Mica was right, Maia had been learned from the Basterds, be trained by the Blood Moon Court and while neither of those groups quite suited her, she come out of both better. She was now a prouder senshi, more confident, with more hope something she intended to and was try to pass onto other's with training and information, as much of it as she could pass on.

Mica had attacked her and now Maia just felt conflicted at the other seemed to be far from on par with her. She seemed certain, but her movement, this fight it didn't seem to add up for Mica. Maia frowned deeply releasing Mica knowing Mica's own struggles would distance them.

She looked at the other. She didn't need her eternal attack, she didn't think that was a lesson she needed to teach right now. Instead she called out, "Absolute Harmony," letting the music fill her and singing out the notes, watching as her attack filled the space in front of her and spun toward Mica in a tornado of notes.

ChibiGingi
Its a series of rather soft sweet notes, that Maia sings. When she makes her attack, she turns to face the target and as she sings, translucent rainbow colored notes fly toward the target and start float and circle him/her. The notes are fast in their approach. It causes the opponent to calm down. It causes the opponent to feel the thought slipping away, they feel less able to concentrate at the task at hand. Heart rate is slower and they will feel sluggish as with Sweet Harmony. The effects of the attack last for 3 minutes after Maia's note ends. This is tiring for Maia and can only be used 3 times in battle.

1.) Absolute Harmony!
2.) Sailor Maia begins to sing.
3.) Musical notes appear as she sings.
4.) Musical notes fly over to her target and encircle them. (She must be facing them)
5.) Target feels very calm and very sluggish.
Attack lasts for about 3 minutes.
*Can only be used three time in battle.

*The reaction varies from character to character depending on what the player decides.*

Finally, she was freed, and the first thing that Mica wanted to do was steady her spear and lunge forward with all her might. Tonight, she was going to finish what she started. She was going to end not only Maia's life but her very existence, and that was the only thought that consumed her mind as she prepared to launch herself forward.

Mica hadn't heard Maia's words and the sight of her attack charging towards her made her stop dead in her tracks. There was no time to dodge- could she even dodge such an attack? She brought her spear close and was preparing to activate the rainbow crystal, but the words escaped her, and all she could do was give a low curse as it hit her dead on.

Had her eyes not begun to droop, Mica would have thought herself foolish to have forgotten to use her own rainbow crystal's power. She felt her legs begin to turn into lead, and any attempt to hold herself up with her weapon had failed as it slid against the ground and caused her to go tumbling down. She gave a growl, but even that turned into a yawn, as she managed to lean against her spear and drift into sweet sleep. "You better... kiiiiiiaiiwwwwl... kill me, Maia... because I won't... forget this..."

Maia watched as her attack hit dead and on Mica when tumbling down, she shook her head slightly and frowned just a bit before schooling her expression and looking down at Mica.

She could believe it when the other had said Maia should kill her, but realized quickly it was a threat. Maia found she wasn't afraid, she'd not even done much to win this fight and while Mica she was sure would train harder and work to make there next encounter one more in her own favor Maia wasn't about to stop her own training, nor had she even used her eternal attack.

"I am not a murdered. Your life is your own. If you would like to use it for something better than I would be more that willing to help you, but I will not kill you."

She turned and started to walk away, hopping up on the rooftop ledge before looking back to Mica, "Just remember I've changed and I won't let you end me. This," she motioned to herself, her fuku, "this is my destiny."

With that she jumped, over to the next rooftop and continued on her way confident for now Mica couldn't follow her.

The Negaverse officer did not mean to be rude, as she could hear everything that the Senshi was saying, but she didn't respond because she could not. She found herself trapped in this state where she was conscious, but just barely, and while she couldn't move her limbs, she could hear everything around her.

And this only served to make her anger all the greater, her venom more potent until she felt as though she could spit acid, and yet, all she could do was sit there, waiting for the effects to wear off. She hoped that they wore off, and soon, so that she could strike her down in the middle of her little speech, and yet, fate wasn't smiling at her.

Fate was outright laughing at her, and he would continue to have the last laugh, as Maia turned and left. By the time the effects of the spell wore off, the Eternal senshi's aura was no longer registering on her senses, and the first thing she did when she regained the strength to move was give a frustrated scream. She could only hope that wherever Maia had fled to that she couldn't hear her...

"Dammit! DAMMIT!"

Kaori_luv
And fin... these two will meet again! It is destined to be!
