Buddingtonite was on the prowl this evening and there was nothing that was going to get in the way of his game. Gathering energy was back on the slab and all Negaverse officers were required to collect their fill, and what was the good Captain if not obedient and willing to do his duty? At least that's what he wanted everyone to believe, anyway. He was loyal to the Negaverse, of course, but after seeing his chief senior ranking officer, who she was and her strange fixation on lame, tween angst actors?

He was obeying orders for his own sake, and for his subordinating lieutenant. He had enough energy for himself- it was relatively easy to obtain it, given Buddingtonite's, or rather, Richard's, lifestyle. However, he had recalled Lieutenant Amethyst recalling having some trouble reaching his quota, and who would Buddingtonite be if he didn't support his fellow agents in Infiltration? Besides, not only did he rather like Amethyst in a Captain-Lieutenant kind of way, but he could also weasel out some kind of payback later, if need be.

Downtown shops were always some of Buddingtonite's favorite, as there were always people hanging around at all hours of the night and the late shop hours always worked in his favor. People got lax when they were tired, which made stalking them and sapping a little energy here and there all the easier, and with a charming face and demeanor like Buddingtonite, he'd have energy coming out the butt, so much that he could make a killing if he ever decided to distribute it to his fellow agents.

A thought for later, though, as he saw a group of young girls leaving Phina's Fiona, probably in their mid teens and oblivious to any form of the word danger. He allowed them to walk by, giving them their required space before jumping down from the lamppost he was sitting on top off and preparing to continue his good work. Another batch for the Negaverse, coming right up!

Seraphina was finished up for the night, making sure she locked up the days deposits in the safe and everything was in order. Tonight it was just the girls working and after a long days work the girls were waiting patiently for Phina to finishing closing down the systems and set the alarm. She was about to do just that when she remembers a few things in her office she needed to take care of. Normally she would leave with the girl, but she thought they waited long enough, so she let them out, told them to keep together and headed back into her office to finished up a few things and grab a bit of paperwork that needed finishing.

Her car was parked just down the street in the back alley of the stores, deciding that the parking garage was just too far especially now being aware of the dangers of Destiny City. She didn't want to have to power up just to be able to get to her car. She also wanted to be able to quickly be able to drop things in her car on nights when deciding to do a little patrolling. Tonight was one of those such nights, she alarmed her store, headed out the back door, waiting a second for the final chime that would let her know the alarm was in place and hurried to her car to drop her things. It was parked with a few other car, for places that stayed open a bit later than Phina's.

After she put her things in her car she headed further down the alley and shifted easily into her powered form. Something she was being more and more use to as time passed. It had been several months yet.

Buddingtonite had no reason to suspect that he'd encounter much trouble this evening, as he had been around this area enough times to get a good grasp of which Senshi and Knights patrolled this area and what time they did their patrols so that he could avoid them. He was absolutely certain that he had timed his little hunt perfectly, and he was about ready to go in for the 'kill' when he felt the jolt of an Order-aligned energy signature nearby.

Which meant that he had either failed to plan his little draining excursion properly, or, the more like scenario, that he had gotten the street address wrong entirely and was not in the same place he once thought he was. One glance at the street sign confirmed this, and nothing stopped the captain from slamming a hand on his forehead and groaning softly to himself. "Just one day without having to run into these White Mooners... that's all I ask."

While he didn't see whoever it was immediately, he knew better than to ignore it, and as much as he wanted to drain the group of young women that he was once stalking, another aspect of his duty took priority. So, he spun on his heels and moved towards the aura, hands behind his back and trying to appear as harmless as possible. Not a fan of stealth or being subtle, he called to whoever interrupted his hunt, allowing the pleasant sound of his voice carry in hopes of throwing his enemy off. "You can come out now. I only wish to talk for the time being."

Who knows? Maybe he'd get lucky and find a new possible recruit? It was worth the loss of some energy, Buddingtonite thought to himself.

Lyceum didn't feel the other immediately, but she did feel him after a moment or two even though she could see him. It wasn't until she came to the end of the alley that she heard him speak to her, which caused her to frown slightly. She didn't want to talk and he made it sound like she was hiding, which wasn't the easily task while powered up. He frowned slightly.

She rounded the corner to find a very nice looking red head around the corner and she had to quickly redirect her thoughts, because one he was the enemy and two she had a boyfriend.

"I wasn't exactly hiding you know. It would be far easier to hide, but not powering up. I mean I'm sure you can feel me. I could feel you before I saw you," she said trying not to word play which she did so often, it was probably not a good thing.

"What exactly do you want to talk about? I do not exactly have enormous amounts of time on my hands."

"No? Then perhaps I've pegged you wrong, and for that, I apologize," Buddingtonite said, and the moment she came out of hiding, he couldn't help but feel his heart go all a-flutter. The colors she wore wasn't that familiar to him, but he wasn't so much as concerned as to which planet or princess this page pledged her loyalty to, not so much as how well that attire seemed to fit her body (and how much he approved of it). Then there was that face of hers, and Buddingtonite could think of no greater sin in this world that she was on the opposite side.

He gave her a polite bow, tipping his hat and allowing for his own red locks to t be seen in full, perhaps hoping that she'd find him less threatening and more approachable. No need to turn this into a blood bath, after all. Buddingtonite always fancied himself to be a lover, not a fighter, and now was no different. "Even if I were to mask my aura, I'm rather hard to miss myself. Though I have black to help me blend in with the surroundings, all this red and silver seems to counter any good that may come out of that. Just as the white on your attire, sadly."

He straightened up and placed his cap back up top his head, as he introduced himself. "I'll try not to keep you long from whatever important Page or White Moon business you may have. I am Buddingtonite, agent of the Negaverse and hope to be top recruiter of the Infiltration Branch. And you are?"

Lyceum blinked a little confused to hear someone from the other side apologize to her and was sufficiently mollified for the moment. She didn't miss the gander at her fitting attire, which had to be the best thing about it and she had to smirk. She didn't really care at the moment he was on the other side, she was happy to be appreciated.

The hat was removed to reveal a fellow red head and a good looking one at the that, and had to quickly remind herself, Mr. Handsome was on the other side and she had a boyfriend. How she hated the word and was growing to despise it more of late.

"I wasn't even aware one could mask their aura, but its not like they tell you much," she said rolling her eyes, putting a hand on her hip and shifted her weight slightly, her posture screaming of boredom. Lyceum was probably a little to bold when she need not be and it had already gotten her in trouble.

She frowned, "just patrolling the area," she said with the same bored expression. Charming as he was, she was unimpressed at the moment, but as long as he didn't attack her she'd not push her luck to far.

"I'm Lyceum of Polaris. What exactly is the Infiltration branch? I'd think you mean sneaking into out ranks like spy's but I have a feeling at is not at all what you mean? The negaverse, you said it was, you have that much organization?"

She was clearly new, and extremely curious and she decided at the moment she was taking this meeting for all she could and actually learn something. It would be categorized and filed away somewhere when she got home, but for now, her expression changed to a clearly interested one.

Their little meeting was going on much more pleasantly than he originally thought, and to Buddingtonite, this was nothing short of good news. He wasn't one for fighting, even with his upgraded weapon and powers, so this was a plus for him. Now to see how much longer he could keep this friendly little charade going before he either grew bored, frustrated, was rudely interrupted, or perhaps lucky.

"Trust me, if we could mask our aura, I'd say both sides would have a lot to worry about. Last thing either of us want is to be ambushed," Buddingtonite said, keeping his distance out of respect and not wishing to make the young woman uneasy. He was a pretty likable guy, at least according to himself. She appeared bored, but he suspected it was nothing but a ruse, though there was never a way to confirm that suspicion without getting closer. For now, he'd play it safe and friendly.

That meant answering her questions, and he was more than happy to lend over a little information, should he thought it'd help win her over. "It is my duty as an Infiltration officer to seek out new recruits and promote the benefits that come with joining the Negaverse. This courtesy addresses not only civilians, but even members of the other side who are otherwise lost, or their talents wasted."

In regards to her question about the Negaverse, he answered truthfully. "Absolutely. Organization is what the Negaverse prides itself with! Which is more than what I can say for the White Moon... their organization skills would make even the sloppiest member of the Negaverse cringe."

Lyceum nodded loosening up a bit. She could keep the bored facade, but she rather appear as interested as she was. This was the most non-threatening information she had obtained in some time.

She nodded when he spoke about energy masking and decided he was right and she was glad they couldn't do that. She wouldn't appreciate having people attack her at random, not that it didn't already happen, but a least she learned to feel them coming when she was paying attention.

"Merits huh? I'm sorry," she said, "but currently I don't see much for either side. I'm doing my research so to speak, but its not brought about much. Your side destroyed City Hall with a tentacle monster, which I did not appreciate getting man handled by and that was before I became this." She motioned to her tight outfit, referring to her knighthood.

"At least this side hasn't hurt me, of yet. Though you are right their organization skills are poor." She moved closer to him right up to his side, "so explain these merits to me and we can walk. Useful information in the form of handsome company. I can most certainly appreciate that."

Flattering men was easy, in her opinion and you certainly caught more flies with honey, right?

Part of his job as an Infiltration officer was to handle Public Relations, both the good and the bad. He openly winced when she mentioned destroying City Hall bit, but he knew better than to deny it. He wasn't there for such an occasion and he figured that since Serpentine hadn't informed him that he wasn't there either, but he was certain that the Negaverse made such an assault, and for good reason.

"That was an unfortunate affair, I'll admit, and I can make no excuse that I think someone as observant as you would believe," Buddingtonite said, playing the part of sales employee that didn't enjoy having to push a product or policy he didn't like. "I wasn't there for that occasion- neither as an officer, nor a civilian, but I certainly heard about it. However, given the threat that the White Moon Court and their queen pose to Earth, my higher ups felt that it was a necessary action for the greater good. I wish I could tell you more about that topic in particular, but as I said, I wasn't there. Perhaps the next chance we meet, I can weasel a bit of info on that and pass it along?"

Not that he was going to follow through with it, but if it kept Lyceum interested, he'd give her the impression. Keep her interested and curious and maybe she'd come around? It was always worth a shot.

Her offer was intriguing, and Buddingtonite would have been a fool to turn it down. She seemed the type of person that cared more for the fine details at the bottom, and so he knew better than to lie to her, or try to sugarcoat things too much. He kept his tone sweet and pleasant and his steps were light and confident, as he explained the merits. "For starters, you'd be a savior of Earth, a true savior. Your talents would be evaluated by skilled professionals and utilized to your true potential, not wasted here. And you would have the best kind of protection from youma such as that tentacle creature that tried to manhandle you... complete and utter control over said youma."

Lyceum nodded, she didn't see how it could be for the greater good, but those words were barely noted because Lyceum had zeroed in on another. Queen? That throughly confused as her, as she wasn't aware they had a queen. Why wouldn't someone inform her of that, did Zia and Noah not know. Was this guys lying to her?

She narrowed her eyes somewhat suspiciously before dropping the look in favor of a small frown, "What queen? I've not been informed of any queen. Surely if they had a queen there would be some semblance of order or guidance of some sort. That statement makes their disjointedness make even less sense."

She walked not feeling too threatened or really at all threatened by the captain she was walking with, which was nice. She found her blinking at him once more realizing more fully as though it hadn't fully settled into her brain before that when he said recruitment, he meant her. He was saying she had a choice in all this? She didn't have to be a page at all, but at the same time, she didn't like the idea of allying herself with the negaverse.

Still his words made her very curious and were giving her much to think about even though it was giving her stomach gitters, but she felt she was getting somewhere. It was all about finding out how much truth he spoke and currently he didn't seem untruthful. "Definitely words to think on," she murmured.

Buddingtonite often thought of himself as being suave, smooth, and any other sexy 'S' word that existed in the dictionary, and he also liked to think that he always had a good control over what emotions he allowed to be seen. Yet, hearing her confession about not knowing the Moon Queen simply took him off guard, and it was enough for him to almost stop dead in his tracks. He almost missed a step, but he caught himself, and while he wasn't sure if she had seen his little misstep, he wasn't going to bring any attention to it. Not when there was a bigger problem to worry about!

"You... don't know about the Moon Queen? Well, it's certainly no wonder the White Moon Court is wondering around like poor sheep without a shepherd!" Buddingtonite could not stop himself from making such a comment, and while part of him wanted to think that Lyceum was simply pulling his leg, perhaps in hopes of tricking him to expose more than he was initially willing to, there was merit in what she had to say. Before she could feel as though he was insulting her, he reconsidered his words, and added, in a softer, almost apologetic tone. "My apologies, that was rude of me. But if you do not know of the Moon Queen, then why are you here? Why were you awakened on their side?"

Unless pages were awakened differently from Negaverse officers? He was curious, and he figured that the two of them could work out a deal that would be mutually beneficial, and he was willing to take the first step in that. "I'll tell you what, I'll tell you how we Negaverse officers are awakened, or at least, how I was awakened, and you can tell me yours. You don't have to tell me your identity- I simply wish to know who it was that awakened you, and why you're on a side that has no apparent leader. How about it?"

He knew he'd be giving some information away, but what harm could indulging this little bit of info do? It wasn't as though they could stop it if they knew the procedure, if things were a matter of choice, right?

Lyceum had missed his folly lost in her own thought process, she almost didn't recognize that he'd nearly stopped and she pulled a few steps ahead of him/ I t matter not because in the next few seconds she found herself feeling like a dunce because it seemed that she should know about the Moon Queen. She definitely resolved to find out about her very soon, but not now as her thoughts process was rerouting to her impromtu awakening.

"I don't have the answers to those questions," she said before looked at Buddingtonite regarding him carefully and nodding at he deal. What he was suggesting seemed fair enough and really she doubted how she was awakened was that big of a deal. She was also curious as to the possibly difference which clearly there was.

"No one awakened me," she started her words complete truth, "a young girl was being attacked by a youma and I wanted to help her and ..." She held her hand out a small olive branch popping into her hand.

"This just showed up and as soon as a touched it, I was change and the youma took quick interest in me. It was odd, but really just that simple."

She gave look as if to say, tell me about you.

Buddingtonite was a little disappointed at her confession to not having answers, but he didn't think ill of her for it. It only reflected what he knew to be true, and that the White Moon Court was a lost cause, and that they would take their allies down with him. It was a tragedy, considering how beautiful and useful these knights could be if they had join the right side to begin with...

He listened to her story, though there didn't seem much meat to that story, or that explanation. In fact, he felt as though he had learned nothing at all! It reflected in his mannerisms, as he stood there when she looked at him to do his part of the deal, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

But, no, that seemed to be the end of the story, and without forcing her to wait any longer, he explained own awakening, with great fervor. "This is actually a two parter. My first encounter was when I was a civilian, drunk to the point of tumbling over on my face. There I encountered what I later figured out was a Negaverse officer, a general, even. Good looking on the eyes, strong, clever... tad bit insane, but I'd rate her a solid 9."

He knew she wasn't interested in that part, so he carried on with a shrug. "That was when a Senshi came in and the two fought. I high tailed it out of there, but I came to the realization that there was a war going on in this city, and that soon, I had to pick a side, or risk becoming one of the many nameless, forgotten victims caught in the crossfire."

She nodded when he said it was a two part story and her face became one of realization when he told the story. Unfortunately she wasn't will to divulge that her boyfriend and his sister introduced her to the order side of things in a very weird manner. She didn't really feel like making something up or spinning the tale to be different so she decided to just leave it at that and listen to Buddy.

"It must have been some crazy fight for you to come to that conclusion. I mean it seems a bit of a jump, but I guess it makes sense seeing some of the things that have been in the news and some of the videos that go up on youtube, that I think most people assume are fake."

She was curious and he had her full attention for certain, she nodded for him to continue wanting to know the rest of how he came to be on the other side. Her's was spontaneous. His was obviously not."

"Crazy fight indeed!" Buddingtonite said with a huff, gesticulating with his arms as he tried to summarize the event as best as he could despite admitting that he was thoroughly intoxicated that day. "One of them had a spear that looked a little too thirsty for blood, and the other one had the nerve to strike while my back was turned! Knocked me CLEAN out cold, but between the two, the one with the magic attacked me, not the crazy spear lady."

He had to make sure he mentioned that part. He may have been drunk, and he could have assumed that the Senshi was merely trying to push him out of the way, but in the end, he was unconscious for awhile, and it was the Senshi's fault. Even when Lyceum was questioning his reasons and the kind of leap he took, he made sure to explain it in a matter-of-fact kind of way, not seeking to get angry or defensive. "Well, that is true. You can't believe everything you see on the internet, however, you and I both know that this situation is very, very real. Fairies and werewolves, however, are still up for debate."

He almost lost track of his original train of thought, but he carried on, snapping his fingers when he remembered where he left off. "A short time later, I managed to have the good fortune of seeing a Lieutenant and General-King in the area, so I simply walked up to them and offered them my services. I'll admit, it was a little painful, the whole process, but if it meant to preserve myself and serve a cause I believe in, it was worth it. And that, my dear, is how Buddingtonite became an officer of the Negaverse."
