┏━━━━━━━━━┓ J a m e s G o d w y n The Master Magician ┗━━━━━━━━━┛ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxOh you don't believe in magic? ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± ╔══════════════════════╗
The lights dim as the spotlights rotate around the center of the ring. A thick mist appears out of nowhere as a figure appears rising out of the ground. The figure had his head lowered with both hands resting on a long cane. The lights focused on the figure as he stopped moving up and looked up and tipped his hat with one hand, a small smile on his face. He spoke into the boom mic near his mouth with a loud voice. Welcome everyone, to Le Carnival de l'Etrange! And keeping true to our Halloween theme for my act there will be plenty of horror! Now I know many of you are skeptics of magic. I'll be the one to prove you wrong. No tricks! Just pure magic for your entertainment, and most likely horror for all! First I'll need a courageous volunteer! A young man raised his hand and shouted as James beckoned the young man to come forth. James reached into his pocket but then gave a puzzled look. He reached into his other pocket but his expression was the same. He gave the man a curious look and snapped his fingers. Sir! I'll need my cards please. Please do kindly hand them over. As James snapped the man looked extremely sick. He opened his mouth wide, which had been empty the minute before and spat out a deck of cards. James snapped his fingers again as the cards organized themselves into a deck and he picked it up off the ground with a gloved hand and shook the deck dry. He put the deck in the palm of his hand and then raised one hand as the deck dispersed in a wide arc, chaining from hand to hand and then setting it back into a deck. He handed the deck to the man. Please kindly sir pick out all the aces in the deck and put them in your pocket. The man picked out the aces and put them in his pocket, handing the deck back to James. James pulled out a lighter and set the deck on fire, reducing it to a pile of ashes and blew it away. He held out his hand and the man reached into his pocket, pulling out a full deck of cards. James laid out the cards, revealing that all four of the aces were missing. He snapped his fingers and then turned to the audience. Could the people who kindly took my cards please return them! Another man, a woman, and two children in the audience coughed out the ace cards with a shocked look on their faces and came up. Please stand in a line and close your eyes. The people lined up in order of height. James pulled the top of his can free to reveal a high tensile blade that he swung over the heads of the volunteers. He gave a flick of his wrist as the shorter people rose above the rest. Soon all five volunteers were floating at least a meter off the ground. Five boxes were wheeled in and the people were put in them. The boxes were sealed and a barrel of sharp blades were put out. James took one of them and deftly swung the blade, slicing a rope to show the real sharpness. He drove multiple blades into the box the woman was standing in and by the time he was done one of the boxes was completely covered in blades, impossible for any person to stand inside of them without being cut. There was a brief and surprised shriek followed by an equally surprised shout inside one of the boxes. A young student brought in a canister of gasoline and dumped it on another box, one containing a small girl. James struck a match and tossed it at the box. There was a scream from within that soon vanished as the flames engulfed the box. The audience gasped thinking it had gone all horribly wrong. James waited for the flames to die down, revealing a pile of ash that had once been the wooden box, and not a trace of the little girl. All that remained was a box that had been pincushioned by swords, a pile of ash, and three untouched boxes. James walked over to the box in the middle that contained the first volunteer and put a hand to the lid. He pulled the lid free as what seemed to be an endless stream of bats came flying out screeching, and heading out of the tent. The four walls of the box fell away to reveal nothing. James stood in between the two remaining boxes and raised both of his hands towards each box, motioning for them to come closer. The boxes moved without being touched until they touched the open palms of James hand. James pounded his fist against the box on his left and the walls of the box fell away to reveal...nothing. It was empty and all that came out was a scarecrow, and a carved pumpkin head on the ground next to it. The scarecrow lifted up the pumpkin head and stuck it where the wooden stump that served as the neck was. It wobbled over to the other box and sat on top of the remaining box. James tapped the box with a finger and one wall fell away to reveal...nothing. The box was empty as well. The scarecrow climbed into the box as the wall raised itself and covered the box. James pounded it again with his fist and all the walls fell away to reveal all five volunteers and the clothes that the scarecrow was wearing on the ground, the pumpkin head in the hands of the little girl. Kindly give our brave volunteers a hand! And sadly my act is over, but I wish you all be entertained with our amazing performances! I bid you all goodbye! James clapped his hands as the audience applauded and was lifted off the ground and into the air as he lit a match and set a small candle in his hand on fire. The candle exploded upward in a big haze of orange and black smoke, and when it cleared, the smoke took on the form of a wicked smiling pumpkin, but James Godwyn, the Master Magician, was nowhere to be seen.

A s p e n B e l l ⇘ ⇗ ▌ ▍ ▎ ▏ Agile Acrobat Girl ▏ ▎ ▍ ▌ ⇖ ⇙ xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxx█████████ ████ ██ █████████ A crackle was heard throughout the area as the speakers rumbled to life and a voice called from up above. "Now introducing one of newcomers to our carnival, next up is Aspen Bell! Give her a round of applause will you?" The people began to clap widely and the spotlight turned to the red curtain on the far end of the stadium where a girl appeared. The petite girl walked up to the tall, metal ladder and put both of her hands on the bars. Gripping it tightly, she started to slowly climb up, keeping tabs on how high she was going. Even though she was a gymnast and she had done this act many times before and she should be used to this by now, the rush still got to her. She tried to keep her breathing calm and steady as to not become any more jittery than she already was at the moment. She could feel the eyes of crowd watching her ever movement, but she didn't falter. So, why did she have this nagging urge to throw herself off a platform more than 23 feet in the air, you might be asking yourself? The answer was simple. It was because some part of her was yearning to be more alive; to fly. Reaching the top, she mounted the narrow board and looked down to make sure there was safety net below. But traditionally at a safe flying trapeze act it has a large net underneath the rig, so there was really no need to worry. As she waited for a call from the catcher to make sure he left at the correct time, she stretched out her legs and arms which were clothed in a electric blue skirt that had buckles which ran up her sides, a red crop shirt and black spandex shorts to wear under. She was also wearing knee high shoes with black knee socks with it, but they were ones that fit her tightly so they wouldn't come off in the process of flying. A red party hat was strapped to her head, which she only wore to emphasize her girly-circus look.
Then the boy on the other side nodded his head to her and she bent her knees, to perform a one-handed take-off; dipping the bar so she could raise it higher when she jumped off the board. She leaped off and did a short flip in the air before reaching out her flimsy arms to grab onto the fly bar. She swung back and forth, her face strained in concentration and let go again just as the catcher swung over to her catching her by legs so this way she was upside down. On the next swing into the apron, Aspen thrust her body up, and the catcher lets go of the her legs and grabs her hands. Applause arose from the crowd as they watched her and the other boy and she decided to make it even more dangerous. A small part of her was scared of falling if she messed up but the other part was racing with adrenaline, telling her to keep going and to 'wow' the crowd. So, without warning she let go of the catchers hands, which caused him to let out a gasp in alarm, and she went flying through the air, making a attempt to grab the other bar that hung there in the air. She glided through the air effortlessly until she realized she couldn't make it. The next she knew, she was falling, falling, falling, until she crashed onto the net and it bounced her up in the air a little from the impact, but otherwise she was fine. Though she was upset at her failed attempt, she still stood up and raised her hands over her head like a professional should, and they clapped for her nonetheless. "Thank you!" Aspen called out to them, and swung her legs over the side of the net, climbing off and making a hasty retreat back into the safety of the curtain. The speaker rang out again, "A good job for a new recruit eh? Better luck next time!"xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxx█████████ ████ ██ █████████

■■Kasper Kai■■ 【Got a secret, can you keep it? Swear this one you'll save?】And, now it was the Puppeteer's turn... Instead of Kasper walking out onto the stage it was a human-sized marionette made of wood; in a bright red, long, poofy dress. It looked like it could've been some kind of doll. Kasper stood in the shadows, hidden from the scene to make it look like the puppet was doing this all on her own. Just as he began to make the doll dance, something unexpected happened.... There was a lion that had escaped from its cage in the Ring. Really, Cole? Really? He thought, knowing full well that his friend was the only one backstage and the only one who was clumsy enough to pull such a trick... The music changed to Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, which was the music that Kasper was going to have his puppet dance to... But his plans had changed. The Doll grabbed a the side of her red dress, which was far, far too long and held it up like a matador would hold their cape. Sure, the lion was no bull, but it would have to do.The lion charged at the puppet but then the puppet dodged it and let the cape/dress fly over its head. This went on for a couple of times until the music stopped. The lion was soon back where it needed to be and the puppet bowed as Kasper came out of the shadows, making the "strings"–which were nothing more than an illusion–more visible for the audience to see. "Thank you." He exclaimed as he bowed with the doll and picked it up bride-style before exiting the stage. 【You swore you'd never tell. But, then again... Everybody tells.】 Thinking: Really Cole? Maverick "Mav" Moriarty The room gets dark and the curtain parts. Two big brutish men walk on stage each dragging a mushroom shaped tower that was approximately 8ft tall and about 5 feet around. They set each tower on opposite sides of the stage. Maverick walked in along with a small man who was roughly 4 feet tall. The little man went to the tower on the left and began pulling wires out of the tower and plugging them in to various wires behind the curtains. The two brutish men went behind the curtains as Mav stepped into the spotlight. “Good evening! Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls! Tonight I have an act that you will find quite electrifying!” He held out his hand as the little man handed him an odd guitar shaped device. The henchmen disappeared as Mav hit a button on the device and the room went completely black. Suddenly the pillars sprang to life as the tesla coils were activated. A familiar beat started to play soon revealing itself to be “This is Halloween”. A deep metallic voice began to sing along to the words. Green arcs of lightening began to discharge from the towers, hitting Maverick, illuminating him and sending demonic shadows across the room. As the song ended, the pillars turned off and as the lights came back on, Maverick had disappeared.
