This is for all of the tamers. Lion tamers, Dragon tamers, Demon tamers, etc. Here, you learn to tame all different types of animals.

User ImageUser ImageNemo stepped into his classroom with two large anacondas wrapped around his arms and torso. Behind him, stalked a massive liger, and he noticed that in the far corner of the room from his desk, a fruit bat was happily eating a peach. Soon, when the students arrived, Bella would assume a position she'd perfected over a couple of years. Anyone who didn't actually touch her would assume she was just a very lifelike stulpture. She was his little tattletale in the classroom, and the classroom was where she could always be found.

Bella darling, how does this evening find you?" he asked the fruit bat. The way he spoke so gently to the animals, it was clear that he really did see them more as his children than as his pets or as his coworkers. Then again, Nemo Hellsing had always been more at home in the company of exotic creatures more than humans. The fruit bat, obviously named Bella, responded silently. In Nemo's head, he heard her softly twittering voice as being not too different from that of a small girl. She was doing well and was truly appreciative of the ripe peaches he'd provided for her earlier that day. Nemo's smile and nod to her was all he needed to do.

Standing at seven feet and one inch, Nemo was beyond tall. His choice in clothing didn't help any. He loved his bizarre combination of styles and eras, all perfectly suited to his own personally unique style. If being the creepiest, most bizarre person alive could be called a style.

Angelica, you and Hermes know the drill. Make yourselves comfortable until the sheep arrive. Elsa, my dear, since this is your first time in class please just make yourself at home here by my desk."
He directed the animals he'd brought and they obeyed without question. Only Elsa made herself heard in Nemo's thoughts. She was indeed a newer addition to his extended family, and she was naturally curious. In the comfort of telepathy, Nemo explained and showed her everything she could expect and with only 20 minutes before his class started, she was ready. Nemo himself had long since taken his seat behind his desk with bootclad feet propped up onto the table, his wide-brimmed hat pulled low over his sunglasses-covered eyes.

"...He-hey!..."

Cole came straight from the Mistresses office to creature taming. He knew this was his first class, as he asked for him to be placed in it. The man was creepy as it was, and he really hoped he wasn't the only one stuck in the class. He wasn't sure if he was early or not so he knocked before entering the room, not noticing the animals. "...Um...Mr. Nemo sir? This is creature taming correct?" He asked as he entered the room, seeing no one else. Great...

"...That's...not my fault...."

User ImageUser ImageNemo was feigning sleep at his desk, but all four of the creatures in the room instantly noticed Cole's arrival. They'd all known about his accident with the glitter, and none were especially pleased. Luckily, even if they weren't as tame as household pets, Nemo had strictly forbidden any of his children from eating students and faculty without his expressed permission beforehand. Cole's voice cut through the stillness of the otherwise empty room and Nemo just lifted a hand and pointed one gloved finger at the roughly 20 or so desks that were arranged in no discernible order. That arm, the way Nemo moved it, looked almost too long to be real. Then again, Nemo was an exceptionally lanky individual, and his height tended to only add to the illusion of his limbs being disproportionate. Trust me when I say that this was nothing compared to the effect of his actually standing straight up. There was a reason this classroom had higher ceilings than the rest.

"Take a seat wherever. You still have 20 minutes before class starts so make yourself as comfortable as possible until the other students arrive." He never once so much as lifted the brim of his hat as he gave the direction in a voice that was monotone and deadpan, yet so smooth, clear, and hypnotically and musically romantic that the voice his panther form projected into peoples' heads would have seemed like an insult to try and compare to the real thing.

"I suggest, however that you use that time instead to prepare yourself both mentally and physically. The first day is always rough on newcomers, and as you can probably guess....it is no accident that most of my class regularly does not arrive until the last second. But it is up to you how you choose to spend your last 20 minutes of being allowed to do as you please." There it was, the fair warning he gave every new transfer or arrival to his comprehensive course. If nothing else, Nemo had trained animals tamers of all walks of life, and some had gone on to be celebrities or famous circus performers themselves. The Ringling Brothers themselves had been unfortunate enough to flunk out of Nemo's class and even they went on to become world-famous using the methods he'd personally attempted to teach them.

"...He-hey!..."

Cole nodded. Why did this guy have to be so creepy!?!? He went over to the desks and took one at the edge of the grouping since he didn't want to walk the maze to get to his desk everyday. Then he saw the animals. At first he had failed to noticed the two giant snakes around the already creepy Nemo, and those were the two that he noticed. He shivered a little at the thought and then saw the giant cat laying next to his desk that must've been at least three times Cole's size. What did Nemo mean by rough anyways?

Seven "Patches" Kullin

Down the hallway, walked the youngish looking boy with blue hair and a teddy bear. He had what appeared to be patches of fabric on his face.... And, if one looked carefully, they would see that he had small stitches all of him. Just like a doll would.... He entered the classroom, quickly noticing the large Liger that looked like it could tear him into pieces. Patches quietly, quickly, and cautiously made his way to the desk next to Cole's, sitting with his teddy bear in his lap. He looked around at all of the creatures in the room. "I hope that they all already have toys..." He said, talking to his teddy bear. The bear mentally replied to Patches with a "I hope so too." Patches didn't bother to say anything to Cole. He was never much of a conversation starter...

User ImageUser ImageNemo heard Patches come in. He couldn't remember if the boy was a regular or not, didn't even really know his name. "Make yourself comforatable Patches, and in about 15 minutes we can begin." A few other students filed in about now, apparently having nowhere else to be but in this room. each one was given a similar greeting and it was right away very clear that there were no assigned seats and not once had Nemo even bothered to tilt his hat away from his eyes as he chillaxed in his chair. Elsa was obviously becoming mildly tense at his side but she stayed in place like a good girl. Nemo was grateful to Bell hanging out in the dark corner in the back of the room near the ceiling. His ears and nose were good enough to tell when someone was coming in or out and even give an idea of who they were...but Bella was the one who knew each one by name and by heart. That's how he managed to greet every single student by name without ever having to see them.

The time ticked down and eventually there were only 5 minutes to go and there were still just a few empty seats. The two large snakes had long since slithered away from Nemo. Angelica was coiled around one lef of his desk with her large head propped up on top of it like a eacher's apple. Hermes....well, Nemo knew where Hermes was. The male anaconda was actually clinging to one of the lights that hung from the ceiling. Nemo didn't feel it was required to inform his students that there was a 50 pounds snake above them. The ones who were not new to Nemo's course already knew what went on in this place. The ones who were new, however, would find out just the same way that the others did. Nemo, still almost motionless, lifted his hand and held up five fingers, counting down the last minutes. This was routine by now. Nemo always began his class the very second that it was scheduled to begin, and he took it very seriously. As it was, he was now just waiting for the bell to ring and for whatever last-minute stragglers found their way to his door. He had a lovely policy of locking his classroom door as soon as the bell rang. Anyone who came late would find a note in the door informing them that they were expected in the headmistress's office immediately to explain why they were late.

But as stated befor,e now he just sat and counted down the minutes on his fingers.

Cole waited patiently for class to start, shivering when he saw the snakes move. But where was the other one? It didn't matter...it was probably around Nemo's legs or something. He noticed a guy with a teddy bear and figured he wasn't the most vulnerable person in here anymore, which was a relief. Then he saw Nemo count down and just imagined the animals all attacking at once when his finger ended, and then the bell rang...

"...That's...not my fault...."

Patches looked all around the room again, now adding above him to the list of places he looked. It only took him a quarter of a second to react to the Anaconda. However, he didn't make a sound. Instead, he started at it in a startled manner and then looked away, as though it wasn't there. He thought about saying something to his desk-neighbor, but he didn't want to startle him either... So he kept quiet, hearing the bell ring. Joy... he thought. Patches didn't even really know why he signed up for this class... Other than to get all of the animals to stop trying to play with him like some toy... It's hard to be a Living-Ragdoll....

User ImageUser ImageAs the bell rang, Nemo stood slowly and purposefully. All seven feet and one inch of his almost freakishly lanky self seemed to fill the room utterly and completely. His hat, with wide brim and tall top, almost covered the orange-ish yellow shades with goggle-like sides. Almost. The shades themselves, however, perfectly concealed his crimson eyes that perpetually seemed close to straight-out glowing. He took all of three steps and was at the door, which he closed dismissively, and then walked back to the front of the classroom.

He scanned the room briefly and quickly, memorizing each and every person. The students in there who knew the drill seemed oddly at ease, as this was honestly just his routine. Then he spoke. Again, the difference between telepathy and his vocal cords was astounding. Soft like butter, and almost hypnotically sensual...monotone and deadpan yet heavy with a hundred different intents. To hear it was, as one pupil had once put it, "like wiping your a** with silk."

"Welcome to Creature Taming. My name is Nemo Hellsing, but I would prefer you just refer to me as Nemo. If that feels too informal you may call me Mr. Nemo. Anything beyond that makes me feel a bit...uncomfortable." He always gave this same speech on the first day of class, word for word, inflection for inflection. He'd been doing it for a long time. "There is no need to tell me all of your names, I already know them all, and your faces, by heart. So, let's begin." He ended his speech by placing his gloved hands together and stepping towards the two tinted windows at the far end from the door, his hand extending as if he were showing something off.

"I would like our two newest additions to please step forward and, for the sake of the class, tell us how to escape from a grisly bear. You know who you are,now just come up at the same time. I promise I won't bite." He was referring, of course, to Cole and Patches. As for the question, the answer was ridiculously simple. You didn't have to run faster than the bear. All you had to do was run faster than whoever you were with.

The comment about not biting was accompanied by the most sinister smirk, showing for a moment his canine teeth that were slightly longer and sharper than the rest of his teeth...which, by the way, were ALL pointed and sharp, almost like the mouth of a shark.

"...He-hey!..."

Cole stood as slowly as he possibly could when Nemo told the new additions to walk to the front and answer a ridiculous question. He slowly made his way to the front, at least a bit comforted by the fact he wasn't the only one. He gulped and tried to think of an answer. "...Run?"

"...That's...not my fault...."

Patches gave a nervous look after he was told to stand in front of the class. He followed behind the other newbie shyly, almost like a child would hide behind their parent. Not that this stranger was his parent... He didn't even know the guy's name. Hugging his teddy bear close to his chest, he let the other boy answer first and then thought for a moment about his own answer. "Back away slowly and then run and hide..." Patches' answer was slightly quiet, making it a little hard to hear him. He looked at Nemo shyly, and then looked away because he felt scared by the teacher. He is far too tall.

User ImageUser ImageNemo nodded at each answer. They'd both given methods and although neither was the proper one, per say, he could not deny the validity of each. He kept them standing for now, though, as he said to everyone present, "Do you know why this class is named Creature Taming as opposed to "Lion Taming" or "Elephant Taming?" It is because these are animals that any half-wit Barnum wannabe can subdue with the proper application of the tried-and-true cane-and-carrot method of animal training. But here, it is my duty to educate you on how to do more than that." By now he was pacing back and forth slowly and deliberately, his hand coming up to punctuate certain key points with subtle hand gestures.

"The animal kingdom is a far wider and grander thing than just the usual carny fare, children. For example, how many of you have seen a snake charmer perform his trade?" he paused and took all of a second and a half to asses the raised hands before going on with his speech. "What if I told you that those cobras have been de-fanged, and are only fallowing the man's weaving motions the way it would any potential foe? That is not taming, merely slight-of-hand. HERMES!" and the massive anaconda that had been draped across the ceiling lights dropped right onto Nemo's shoulders, and laid there like a woman's feathery boa. "This is Hermes. His sister's name is Angelica. They are anacondas. Neither of them have ever lived in captivity and have never received any form of training. And yet," now he extended his arm and Hermes, knowing exactly what to do, slithered so far out that his face was only a few feet from the door, tail and body coiled around Nemo's arm and shoulder. Thank god he'd been standing behind Cole and Patches. Nemo's hand swung around out to the desks, and Hermes's expression didn't so much as twitch. The snake seemed waiting for a command, which Nemo promptly gave. "Hermes, please introduce yourself to Mr. Cole."

The massive snake, turned around in that slow and chilly way to face Cole. It then got a look on its face that was not unlike a grin, before it nodded and slithered to the floor, weaving around Cole's feet like one long muscular rope.

"Do not be afraid, Cole. And whatever you do...do not move your feet." Nemo warned the stagehand. Assuming the boy could do that much, Hermes would do his thing. One girl somewhere in the small crowd would have been heard gasping gently with the memory of when this was done to her, and more than one other had a look of grim recognition. They knew what was coming but none seemed at all concerned for Cole's safety. The snake, as it moved around Cole's shoes, tasted the ait and then wound its way up Cole's right leg up to his thigh, then wound around his torso to his arm...and from there, with tail still at Cole's ankle, Hermes would extend his had to Cole's hand and nudge it like a cat asing to be petted. In all those seconds, Nemo's eyes never left the pair, and Hermes would play his part with perfection, gripping Cole tigh enough to not fall but loosely enough that there was no possible way for the kid to be in any physical discomfort.

((forgive me if it seems a little too close to godmodding but couldn’t think of a better way for Nemo to show that his animals were essentially harmless))

Cole froze when he felt the giant snake wrap itself around him slowly. He forced himself to close his eyes and think. He knew that if he just listened to what the creepy man said, it would be fine, but even then there was a giant snake crawling all over him! He shivered a little as he soon found himself wrapped up and the snake messing with his hand a little. He looked down at the snakes head and slowly scratched the top of its head, a bit nervously.
