"Okay....clothes on...fur brushed...limo will be here in a bit...then I go get Cotton, then we go for that dinner and then off to the concert..."
Cupcake was pacing in his room quickly, looking sort of frazzled as he made sure he had everything ready for their date. Not only their first date, but his first date with anyone, ever.
He had his id so he could show it once they got to the venue for the concert so he could claim his tickets and passes. His wallet was tucked into a rather tight pocket so he had money for their dinner and what not.
Giving himself a once over and taking in the tight black jeans he was wearing, and the black tshirt that had the band on the front of it, few spiked bracelets on as accessories...and he decided he was good. He knotted the laces on his boots so they wouldn't come loose at the worst possible time, and grabbed the small box he'd had sitting on his bed and opened it up a smile on his lips.
"I sure hope Cotton likes this...."
He grabbed his leather jacket that he'd picked up second hand. New to him, but still nice and worn so it didn't look brand new and slipped the box into the inside pocket. Maybe over dessert...
The limo pulled up as he stepped out and he climbed into the back and gave directions to the driver on where they were going next. Once the limo parked he stepped out leaving the door open and ran up to the door in his excitement, eyes shinning and he knocked on the door waiting patiently for someone to answer.

Cotton was equally as nervous, an emotion that she wasn't that familiar with. She was hurrying between her room and the shared bathroom, grabbing everything she needed and throwing clothes on. Tillie and Tulip were busy relaxing after a long day of shopping. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to do some shopping for the big event tonight.
"Oh, um, Tulip?" Cotton called down the stairs. "Can I please have your help with the body tape?"
Tulip's eyes fluttered up, she'd been half asleep on the couch, despite the noise Cotton had been making upstairs. "Yeah, gimme a minute," was replied after a big yawn. She groaned as she got up and made her way up the stairs, it'd been a long day. As she made her way up the stairs, there was a knock on the door. "Tillie, could you get that, please?"
Tillie, the Kecleon teen, rolled out of the chair and dragged herself to the door, opening it sluggishly and staring wordlessly at the Eevee outside. She looked him over, he looked nice, she supposed; fluffy, like Cotton, but not the same. Oh well, better than the others she'd met earlier. At least his wardrobe was symmetrical... and his hair almost was. Well, at least she wasn't going out with him. She blinked a few times, leaving an awkward silence between the two.
Tulip came down the stairs after a few minutes, "Who is it?"
"I do not know," Tillie responded, not looking away from Cupcake.
A huff could be heard as Tulip came to the door and moved Tillie out of the way. Her irritated expression melting away when she saw the young man at the door. "You must be Cupcake, Cotton has told us so much about you. Please, come in and have a seat! She'll be down in a sec, she's just finishing up." Tulip opened the door, wide, and gestured for him to have a seat while they waited.

The Kecleon at the door was...unsettling. She was staring at him intently and silently. He knew this was the right place, he'd been given the address and all by Cotton herself.
He'd just opened his mouth to ask for Cotton when he heard a voice inside, and he almost laughed at the response to the question.
Tulip coming to the door, eased him a little and he smiled brightly. "That's me yes. It's nice to meet you, Tulip isn't it? And that would be Tillie..." hey he'd listened to Cotton talking about her roomies and all!
"Thank you, and no worries I showed up a little early." early was better than late and he'd wanted to meet Cotton's roommates anyhow, so this was perfect he knew.
He stepped inside then so the door could be closed and moved to have a seat while he waited for Cotton to come down. It was easy to see he was both nervous, and excited but he was doing his best to remain as calm as he could.

Tulip smiled sweetly, her trademark. She could tell the guy was nervous, but nervous was good, meant he didn't feel he was better than Cotton, and Tulip liked that. He was kinda cute too, not her type, but she could see why Cotton liked him. And he was polite too, that was hard to find anymore.
Tillie on the other hand, watched as he entered and sat down. She didn't say anything though, and deemed her time was better spent doing something else, so off to the kitchen she went. She started doing dishes.
"So, how'd you two meet?" the Venusaur started, always up for some small talk. She knew already, but she wanted to here his side of it all.
In the meantime, Cotton could hear Cupcake and Tulip chatting it up. "Oh dear!" she fretted, trying to find the last little thing she needed: her purse. "Where ever did it go off to?" She whined and started tossing things around her room, wishing she could see.

He liked Tulip so was definitely sweet and he felt he could relax around her, and he did. A little. A slight shift forward to rest his elbows on his knees and he broke into a brighter smile.
"I was just a little Eevee and I'd run off ahead of Kelsie who was my trainer...and just enjoying myself. While running around I smelled this wonderful smell and followed my nose..and there she was, working in that cafe."
He gave a brighter smile thinking back on it. "She was so sweet, and so friendly....I hated to go once Kelsie did find me. I wanted to go back sooner to see her, but I felt too shy to do it...until the other day anyhow." he rubbed his hand across the back of his neck almost sheepishly, a low laugh given.
The Ever Stone he wore had been removed from it's usual bluey collar, and had tonight been attached to a black one to go with his outfit, so the rubbing of his neck made the thing jingle a little.
One long ear flicked at the thumps coming from upstairs and he looked up at the ceiling in concern. "She alright up there?" he heard a few more thumps, and sort of raised up in his chair. It sounded like searching going on. He knew that sound well. Kelsie threw things around all the time looking for things.

Red eyes looked up to the ceiling when Cupcake asked if Cotton was alright. "She's fine... most likely looking for her purse" Tulip sighed, look directly at the object on the couch. "If you'll excuse me," she gave him an apologetic smile and rose from her seat, treading back up the stairs. Man she was done doing this tonight, her feet were killing her. They really needed to invest in some mode of transportation other than their own feet. Or move, which she was highly unfond of.
"Oh, Tulip!" Cotton squeaked as the Venusaur arrived at the top of the stairs. "I can't find my purse!"
"Are you missing anything else?"
"Oh, um, no..." she recounted everything in her head. "No, I've got everything else."
"Where was the last place you put it? I mean, when we got home from shopping?"
"Oh..." she thought for a moment. "Oh! On the couch!"
"Yeah, so why don't you scoot your butt on down there, you're making him wait." Tulip took Cotton by the shoulders and directed her down the stairs.
"Oh, but Tulip! Didn't you say it's good to make 'em wait?"
"Shhh!" a hand swiftly covered the Flaffbat's mouth. "We can go over that later. You don't want to be late, do you?"
"Oh, no! Of course not!" and she took off down the stairs, almost causing Tulip to tumble after her. Thank goodness for her vines lashing around whatever they could to keep her from falling.
When Cotton arrived at the bottom of the stairs, she froze and squeaked, her cheeks turning a bright pink. She knew he was here, even without being able to see him. "Oh... hello, sorry to keep you waiting." she smiled as she blushed. Her cute, sweet demenor wasn't diminished by the heavy metal outfit she wore: tight shorty-shorts, torn up purple leggings, a rather revealing shirt of the band they were to see tonight, and various accessories. She pulled it off, even if it wasn't her normal attire.

Cupcakes gaze followed Tulips, and he couldn't help laughing quietly. "So Kelsie isn't the only girl to do that contrary to what she yells every time. I'll have to let her know, I think it'll calm her a little." he hoped so anyhow!
Cupcake could hear the talking at the top of the stairs, and repressed a laugh. It seemed they had a few more things in common with Kelsie, which wasn't such a bad thing really. He was smiling however as he heard footsteps coming down, and he snagged Cotton's purse and held it with total ease.
Turning to look at her as she came down the stairs he froze, and there was a soft "Wow...you look...absolutely amazing Cotton." well she did as far as he was concerned! He came forward then and lightly rested his free hand on her hip, and brushed a soft kiss to her lips. "Here's your purse, I thought you might want this."
Though he stepped back a brief moment, and decided spur of the moment to give her the bracelet now. "I brought something for you." and there he went reaching into the jacket pocket and pulled out the box that fit on his palm and he opened the box the hinge squeaking lightly.
"If I could have your wrist please so I can put this on..." and then, the box could be left behind.

Cotton blushed heavily, her head wings flapping rapidly at the compliment. Her eyes, though sightless, averted down an her hand came up to her mouth in shyness. She wasn't used to having anyone tell her something like that, in the tone he did. It made her feel silly, like there were butterflies in her stomach.
Her attention was brought back to the here and now when she felt his hand on her hip. She wasn't expecting the kiss, though. Her eyes went wide and she went completely silent. She seemed to be on autopilot when handed her purse, but luckily came to when Cupcake mentioned bringing her a gift.
"Oh? OH! Oh my, I'm sorry," she held her hand out for him to place the bracelet on. Once on, she felt it with her free hand. "Oh, flowers?" she murmured, "They feel very delicate..." She looked up at Cupcake and a delicate smile played across her lips. "Thank you, it's very nice... but I didn't get you anything." Her smile faltered a little but jumped into a hug, wrapping her arms around him neck and burying her head in his neck. "Thank you, you're so sweet, she whispered, tears almost in her eyes because she was so happy. No one ever treated her like this.
"Alright you two, you better get going before you miss your show." Tulip smiled sweetly, not having moved from her perch on the stairs. "Have fun and be safe, alright? And Cupcake, sir, I'd like her home at a decent hour." she gave him a wink and shooed them out the door gently with her vines.

The way she reacted to his honest compliment was adorable as could be as far as he was concerned, and it brought a bigger smile to his face seeing the look of shyness on her face. It seemed he liked knowing she wasn't used to such compliments.
Her reaction to the kiss was noticed and he hoped he hadn't made the wrong move, but he didn't think so. Her going onto auto-pilot wasn't noticed however, and he couldn't help but smile.
"That's right, they're forget-me-nots. I couldn't get you out of my mind from the time we met, and I hope I won't be easily forgotten either." there was a playful note to his words though.
"Your presence is gift enough for me Cotton, I don't need anything else really." he might have been thought to be laying it on thick, if it wasn't obvious he was being utterly sincere in his words, the sweet smile on his lips as he looked at her, the adoring look to his eyes. Yes, the Eevee teen was quite smitten with her.
His arms wrapped around her in a tight hug and he merely held her close for a few moments, savoring that. It was Tulip who broke the spell, and he pulled away from Cotton, fingers brushing under her wet looking eyes. "That's true, we should get going. Have a nice night Tulip it was nice meeting you." well it had been!
He grinned and winked. "I promise to have her back before it's too late. Come m'lady, our limo awaits." he pulled the door open for her then so she could step out and closed the door behind. The driver got out about that time, and held the door open for them. "Miss, Sir." a congenial tone to the man as he waited for them to slip inside so he could drive them to where they had reservations.
"Next stop, dinner...then our concert." he waited till she was in, and slid in after her, his hand reaching for hers and squeezing, heart thumping away feeling like it was going to leap from his chest. He was so nervous...and happy!

How could she ever forget him? The thought was so utterly silly that she couldn't help a giggle. "Oh, Cupcake, I could never forget you!" She too was sincere, but to anyone watching, the whole thing was sickeningly sweet. The spell though, was broken (and diabetes averted) when Tulip urged them to leave.
Cotton gently clung to Cupcake's free arm as he escorted her outside to the limo. The whole thing was so surreal, she was ecstatic. She really hoped it wasn't all a dream. And the night had just begun!
She nodded to the driver, smiling her normal, sweet smile. She was used to this kind of treatment; politeness purely because you're paid to be. It didn't bother her though, she'd much rather deal with this than people being mean or rude. She scooted across the seat to let Cupcake next to her.
"Oh, Cupcake!" she squealed, the reality of everything hitting her at once when they began to move. "I'm just so excited!" Her head wings flapped rapidly and her tail waggled back and forth on the seat, next to her.

"I'm really glad to hear you could never forget me." he sure hadn't forgotten her since meeting her!
He slid across the limo seat and settled next to her, taking her hand in his own and squeezing gently, bringing it to his lips and kissing the back of it. "First we'll go and have a quick dinner, then off to the concert. Then if you want to do something after like say go out for an ice cream or something we can."
The limo drove on smoothly, and before long they were at the place they'd decided on eating. The door came open and Cupcake slid out again, still holding Cottons hand. "Here let me help you Cotton..." words oh so gentle.

"Oh, thank you," she cooed, enthralled with the whole experience of being on such an elaborate date. She scooted out of the car after Cupcake. Once out, she adjusted so that she was clinging to Cupcake's arm. She wanted to make sure that she stuck close to him, especially later when they went to the (undoubtedly busy) concert.
When they entered the restaurant, since Cotton had made the reservations, she stepped forward and spoke to the hostess. "Oh, yes, two please, under Cottoncake." She blushed at the name she'd given as her headwings flapped about. When said out loud, she hoped he didn't think it was too silly... even if it was her idea.
The hostess smiled and showed them to their seats, handing them both menus. "Oh, I do hope you like this place," she fretted a bit.

Cupcake was more than happy to have Cotton sticking close to him, and he could see a few envious glances shot his way...some looking at him and some at her. It made him chuckle softly. "Seems there's a few people who are rather envious of the two of us. I can't blame them after all, I do have the prettiest girl in the room on my arm."
There was a huge grin as he heard the name the reservations were under. Cottoncake huh? That was adorable really. "This place looks to be just fine miss Cotton. I like the name you put the reservation under, that was adorable." it was!
He had pulled her seat out and pushed it in before moving to his own seat and opening the menu up looking it over. They had so much to choose from. "Have you ever been here before? If so what do you recommend? If not...well I think we'll have fun deciding won't we?"

Cotton blushed again at his constant compliments. She wished she could come up with such compliments for him as easily. "Oh, I don't know about that... I know I have the best guy in the world, though. I'm glad you liked the name, I was hoping it wasn't too silly." She nuzzled his shoulder before relinquishing her grip, somewhat somberly, once they reached the table.
'Oh, thank you," she smiled at him as she took her seat. She left the menu on the table, she already knew what she wanted. "Oh, I've been here a few times, their dessert is the absolute best!" She giggled, "I have a terrible sweet tooth."
"Oh, um," remembering Cupcake's other question, "What do you like to eat? They have steak, seafood, pasta. It's all really good."

Cupcake liked seeing the blush on her cheeks, he felt it just added to her beauty honestly. He was utterly sincere in his compliments to her, there was no reason not to be sincere after all.
"Is it? Hmm...we'll have to get something to go and leave it in the limo to eat after the concert." why not? They likely had containers it could go in if it wasn't something needing to stay frozen after all.
"I'm not picky on what I eat, so knowing that I'll order without any concern." he picked out a seafood and pasta dish and when the waiter came around let Cotton order her food first, then his, then he grinned at Cotton waiting on a dessert order to follow...
