Hel…as much as she tried to will her worries and feelings away…had to just come to accept that trying to deny them or force them down through sheer will just didn’t work. She needed guidance. She needed another ear and mouth to help her work through this. The first ear was the problem, and he never wanted to talk about it, so that was out…and the second ear, as much as he did help, also loved to torment her with thinking for fun, and that wasn’t cutting it right this moment. She needed a third ear…who would listen and genuinely try to help her out without saying no or yanking her around for fun.
That was Mot.
Thus, the ghoul was currently outside the Grim’s door, lacking her usual energy and spunk, with her lips pulled into a bit of a frown. She knocked on his door like a normal person too.

Mot was prepared to answer the door, expecting a normal friend (however few they were). So he was surprised to see Hel on the other side of his dorm room door, looking none to happy, and lacking her usual spunk.
Mot frowned slightly, opening his door wider for the ghoul. "Hel? What is the matter?"

“Everything.” Hel groaned, pushing off of the door way as Mot opened the door. She slid into the room without waiting for an invitation, and lightly bopped the reaper on his forearm as she passed. “I am blaming you for this though.” She was only teasing, but she wasn’t smiling, and she huffed.
She stopped in the middle of his room and looked around, before she turned to look at him. “…Neh…got some time to spare?”

Mot never really saw Hel like this. At most enough times to count on one hand with digits left over. Something was definitely wrong, ad thankfully, Hel looked ready to talk about it.
"Of course. All the time in the world." Mot offered, shutting his door. He knew Hel would make herself comfortable, or at least assumed she would. She usually did.
He went about preparing them both hot mugs of non-alcoholic apple cider. "So.. what ails you?" he asked, offering Hel a mug.

“…It is not like I am dying or anything…so…” She waved a hand, to reassure him. “No need to be so grave or urgent…I am just…frustrated.” For a lack of better words. The ghoul blinked as Mot prepared them come cider…and well, that brought a small and brief smile to her face as he handed her a mug. One, she had wanted a drink, and two…it was cider. He got that from her.
Instead of sitting on the rug in the middle of the room though, Hel sat somewhere different. She sat against one of the walls, and sprawled out her legs before her, wiggling her toes idly since she had come over barefoot. She sighed, and took a sip of her cider before she looked over at the grim. “Do you love Genie…does she love you?” Hel paused, and then her brows furrowed. “Are you two even saying that yet?” Maybe she jumped the gun, oops.

Mot sat on the ground across from Hel, taking a small sip from his drink. He liked cider well enough, but he preferred coffee. The sweet taste of apples offended his bitter pallet by now.
Her question threw him off a moment, staring wide eyed at the floor. He collected himself enough to lightly chuckle. "I fancy her, and she seems quite enamoured with me. Neither of us have used that word yet though." Mot said with a smile. "I don't believe I'm at that stage yet. Then again, I do like to take things slow." As Hel well knew. "Love is such a strong thing, you know? I don't wish to throw it around unless I truly mean it."

Hel’s thumbs circled the rim of her mug, but as Mot spoke, he had her complete attention. “…Ah…I see.” No, it made sense, and she knew how Mot was, and certainly he was more…careful to say the least now, especially after well…her. Oh…ouch. A hand left her mug to briefly rub a palm against her chest. “…I think it is good to know where you stand.” She murmured, “Ya…I know.” Love was indeed a very strong thing. Oh she knew.
Well…she could still pick Mot’s brain. Feelings were involved after all. “…So…you care for her strongly, and she cares for you strongly as well then.” She stated, just to make sure they were on the same page. “Do you tell each other that?”

Mot watched worriedly as Hel went through a number of facial cues and odd gestures, speaking more about how she felt than words could. Even so, he couldn't process what it meant. A ghoul's mind, no matter how obvious, always seemed a mystery to the boil.
Still, he had to wonder why she had so many question for him about his own relationship. But if it helped her with her troubles, than he'd answer as best he could.
"Well, no. For now I simply enjoy her company and get to know her as best I can. I don't wish to interrupt good conversation with such statements, since I am never quite sure how to react if they are directed at me... but maybe I am not being romantic enough?" Mot scratched his chin with a puzzled expression. "Perhaps the odd compliment where applicable would be good when we greet each other.."

“…No?” Hel echoed, looking rather perplexed. Wow…okay then. Mot was really taking his time. But…maybe…that wasn’t a bad thing? Wow, new boat load of worries now. UGH. WHY WAS THIS WHOLE EMOTIONS THING SO HARD AND CONFUSING? There were way too many ******** variables!
Was she…moving too fast? No…she couldn’t be, right? She had many Octobers to sit on these feelings and chew on them repeatedly and think them over and…yeah. She knew how she felt. She couldn’t help but chuckle softly as Mot worried about being romantic enough. Oooh, she knew those feels too! “…So…are you guys like…fancy friends…or are you dating? Because I am confused from the way you are speaking.”

"Oh, we are dating!" Mot stated, not wishing to understate his relationship. "I even took her out for a picnic lunch a week or so ago. I even made the food myself. Or rather.. I looked up easy first-time dishes like sandwiches and ways to decorate fruit." Mot chuckled,
"Mind you I did not eat much of it myself. I stuck to coffee and jerky." Mot still wanted to know what it was Hel was worrying about that made his love life so interesting to her. But maybe he was helping her just by talking about it. He didn't wish to push for answers, but comparing her own troubles to his life style seemed unfair.
"I don't mean to rush or pry, but is there a reason you are asking me about my relationship with Gene? What is it that has you so interested?"

Mot answered her question and helped her out just by clearing it up! Aww…AWWWW. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Mot did that all for Genie? That was so nice. Hel was smiling, and she took a gulp of her cider. She wasn’t even mad that Mot didn’t try hard like that for them. That was gone and over with, and she was excited for him making the effort now. She was excited for him. “Ya…but you tried, and it is that effort which says it all right there.” She replied, staring down at her mug.
At his question, Hel just waved a hand idly at him. It was a hand motion that said, ‘not talking about me right now’. “Okay, so…answer me this then…how do you know you two are more than friends? What do you say or do to show that?”

"How do I know?" Since Hel was not ready to talk about her, he'd just have to answer her questions for now. Maybe it would help after all. "Well.. did you not feel something different when you and I started to date?" Maybe it wasn't the example she wanted though.
"Well, with Gene, I only saw her as a good friend at first. She had confessed to me first. So rather than tell her I didn't see her in a romantic way, I asked her to go on a date with me. We went to a festival, had some fun. And since we got along so well, we began to date."
"I can't say for sure if I am in love, Hel. I just know that I like having Gene by my side. It is truly too soon for me to say I feel one way or another. She is a friend, but she is becoming something more. I think of her actions in the strange dream we all had.. I think of our common interests.. It is a comfortable relationship. Time will tell how far it will go from here."
Mot cleared his throat, trying to stop himself from getting so wordy. "As for what I do to show her how I feel... I ask her to accompany me to places I'd like her to be with me at. I hold her close when we are stationary. I let her know if I will be away for a certain period of time, so she is never left to wonder what has become of me if she should have trouble contacting me later on. As long as I make sure she knows I think of her.. maybe that is enough."

Hel didn’t answer that. Come on, Mot…they were both two stupid kids. Well…still stupid, but stupider, back then. What Hel remembered was just being excited she could call someone hers…and well…yeah. As Mot started to go more in depth though, Hel scooted closer, and got ready to listen, setting her mug down on the side. She wanted to comment on the things he was saying, but she was good and waited to hear the end of it. As Mot got onto what he did to show her he cared though…well… Hel was like: Romance. Listening to Mot talk about it was like taking another hit of crack. She really needed to check herself before she wre— Oh, too late.

Those things Mot did…so nice…Oh…
Oh wait…
Hel could hear Mot’s uncertain call through a haze of aww…and after a moment she remembered where she was and why she was here. Hel’s eyes snapped open and her head came back down, and she stared at Mot. Awkward silence.
“…Th-that is wonderful, Mot!”
