Hello everyone!
My name is Sonya and I am addicted to yarn and crochet. :3
I've started crocheting when I was 10 but I only picked it back up in the fall while I was at college. c:
I also kinda started learning how to knit but all I can do is (slowly) knit and purl. XD
But yeah! Other hobbies include playing the flute, playing video games, and watching TV shows that make me sob(LOST, Supernatural). And I'm a Japanese Language major! (:

Hello everyone!

Welcome, Sonya! I hope you enjoy our guild.

Knit & Purl are the only two you actually need to know to knit - the rest (fancy stitches, etc.) are just variations on them!
Most of the end results look so much harder to do than they really turn out to be, like cable stitches.
Once I learned how easy they were to do (pull 3-4 stitches to the front or back, knit the next 3-4, then knit the 3-4 you pulled, keep going) I went kind of nuts, and did a cable sweater that was solid cables! I got more compliments on it, and it was so comfy, I wore it out!
Darnit! Now I need to dig through my yarn stash, to find out what I've got enough of to do that again! wink

Well, that's a huge relief! o: I'll just have to find something I'd really like to knit and the patience to knit it! XD
