Kavanna had planned this trip for a week. She had learned the new tomes she bought and wanted to test her luck using them in a dragon fight. Obviously she knew that the tomes would help her in her future endeavors and she really needed some support.

The Dovaa tied her golden locks back into a large bun, as it was getting longer and longer by the day. She then put on some leather hide armor that she was given months prior by Naomi. It was time to get to her personal little boat to swing down to Aisko. Her battle would be against yet another Aiskala dragon.

"Hello mom." Kavanna said as she walked into the kitchen with a large smile upon her face.

"Why hello there, Kav. How are you doing this morning? Ready for your hunt?" she responded, wiping her wet hands on her apron and walking over to give Kav a hug.

"I'm doing quite well actually; and yes, I am. I've mentally prepared myself for the trip already. I hope you have a good weekend, for I'll be gone." she said, returning the hug and going around the table to the counter where she was beginning to prepare a basket for a couple of meals. She had been far too excited, she totally forgot to grab some food to go.

"Oh, dear, you needn't worry about me. I'll be just fine. Anna is actually coming home this weekend for a visit. I haven't seen her in a couple of weeks! That girl has been so busy training lately. Kavanna, what are you doing?" Naomi said, a puzzled look upon her face.

Kavanna turned around and began to speak, "I'm making myself some food to take. Can't go without it after all."

"There's no need! I already took care of it earlier this morning. The basket is outside in the ice box. Take it, and have a delightful trip." the Orderite woman said with a grand smile. She walked over and gave Kav one last hug before she was to leave.

"Really? What would I do without you Naomi? You always think of everything." Kavanna said as she returned the hug.

"No need to thank me, dear. Just go out and have yourself a great trip and please, make sure you're careful. I love you."

"I love you too, and I will. You should know by now how careful I am. Ever since the Firani incident all those years ago." Kav said with a smile. She did appreciate everything Naomi did for her. After all, if it weren't for the Orderite elder, she would surely be dead. The Firani incident was tragic, but with Naomi, Alora, and Alex's help, she was able to overcome it all.

Kavanna took the front door into the world of Serenia. As she opened it, the salty sea air filled her lungs. She traveled to the icebox and grabbed out a basket, filled to the brim with food. Naomi really was too great to her, she thought. She hardly deserved this woman's love.

As she began to trek towards the docks, Naomi stood outside waving her off until she was but a spec in Kav's eyes. It didn't take long to get to the docks and when she had arrived, she placed her basket in the little personal boat she had tied off to the pole. If only her son were here to help her like he had been all those years ago during their first mother and son dragon hunt. Having him along, considering he was a Peisio Dovaa, made things a lot easier when they were traveling by water.

Kavanna brought in her wings as she pushed herself off the dock and into the frigid cold waters. She then began to paddle her way outward and onward until the water current and wind were able to help her out.

The trip to Aisko was a long and treacherous one filled with raging waters and even a few Peisio dragons who, for the most part, left travelers alone. Though any trip by sea was a rough one.

Kavanna thought about her future and where life would take her, as she most often did on trips such as these. She began to think about how long it would take her to fully master herself and her abilities. At least another year would pass before she was fully ready to prove herself to not only Marcus, but to her family and herself as well. It was such a sad moment for her, realizing that her younger twin brothers had just reached their Mastery level before her. As much as she loved her son, he did take her from her rigid training, leaving her farther and farther behind. She wouldn't trade it for the world, but she did realize that she needed to get on with her training and learn as much as she could so that she could also prove to Marcus that she was ready to be considered a master.

Thoughts of herself as a Master Ysali then created thoughts of her future True Form. Oh how she wished to one day realize the full capacity of her power, enhancing herself and being able to fully fly as far as she could. It was an amazing thought. She could not wait for the day.

Finally, after many hours of travelling, the Dovaa finally arrived on Aisko's shores. Snow covered trees and a deep blanket of snow upon the ground didn't allow for easy access to the travel path. Though trudging through the thick snow did her good.

Once she arrived on the travel path, she began to slowly make her way down it until she noticed an Aiskala dragon laying on the ground, fast asleep. Instantly, her normal walk turned into a steady, stealthy sneak until she finally felt close enough to begin her attack.

She stopped completely and in the silence, she began to take a few deep breaths. Finally, she flipped her hands up into the air, causing two vines to burst forth from the ground, wrapping themselves around the dragon's body and with a loud screech, which awoke the sleeping Aiskala, she tore the wings straight off of it's back. A loud, cursing squeal was sent forth from the Aiskala, who tore through the vines and turned around, screeching as loud as it could, causing a few trees to be shaken of snow and leaves. Kavanna quickly dispatched a few razor leaves towards the enemies throat, quieting him in a second, leaving the lifeless dragon bones upon the ground.

Quickly, she picked up the one orb and began to trek back towards the boat, when she heard the flapping of wings overhead. Two Aiskala stopped in front of her, screeching for more help, which didn't take long to arrive. The two in front of her began to blast off powerful icy attacks while they waited for their other two comrades to join them, which they did within a matter of seconds.

Two more Aiskala dragons found themselves behind Kavanna. She was surrounded with nowhere to go. It was time to use what she had been practicing.

"Webilu Lin!" she called out with her hands before her. Suddenly, from the ice burst forth a large frost elemental.

"Good, now protect me!" she said to her conjured ally, who instantly began to shoot as many icy pellets as it could.

She defended herself from many of the icy blows, but was sliced by a few shards of ice. It was then that she decided to place the shield over herself to further protect herself. "Lufunay Maau!" she called, one hand outstretched in front of her. Suddenly the honeycomb-like shield appeared all around her, taking some of the ice damage off of her. The ice stung worse than water, rock, and even electricity. After all, being a Ysali against an Aiskala was extremely bad, for they were overpowering towards them.

With her shield set and her frost elemental conjured, she was now ready to truly begin the battle. She whipped out two more vines on one of the Aiskala, wrapping them completely up in vines, causing it to be unable to attack. On another, she summoned another two vines, which she used to whip one of the Aiskala to literal death. A burst of ice charged right though her shield and pushing her to the ground with a thud. So much for the reflection shield, right?

She quickly got up, two down, one struggling to move, and two maneuvering freely. Luckily one of them was being occupied by the frost elemental, leaving her with the other free Aiskala who had just shattered her shield. She sent a flurry of leaves, which she had found underneath the snow, towards the dragon who had just taken her to the ground. A few slices and cuts, but the dragon was pissed. It sent an icy breath towards Kavanna, which was actually deflected by her elemental who had just stepped in in the nick of time. He had apparently killed the one dragon he was busy with and was able to step in just as this Aiskala sent off a flurry of icy breath. He deflected the attack at the cost of his life. He began to crumble before her but that was to her benefit. The dragon was distracted enough to not notice that Kavanna had gotten away and crushed the wrapped dragon completely, leaving him in a heap of bones. Then another unsuspected flurry of leaves was sent towards the last dragon standing, who screeched out in agonizing pain before falling to the ground as dead as the rest of his family.

She had done it, beaten five Aiskala dragons with the help of the spell tomes.

Kavanna quickly gathered the remaining orbs of her fallen victims and after all was said and done, Kavanna made her way back home with all five orbs in hand, extremely proud of the power and strength she now knew she possessed.
