This is a youngling!~ <3

Name: Tahigwa (Meaning: "At Peace"; which is very contradictory!)
Race: Full blooded Alkidike
Gender: Female
3 Base Traits:

Pugnacious

Tahi is always prepared to yell, claw, and bite her way through anything and anyone. If they stand in her way and try to calm her down, she will not hesitate to let her tiny fists fly. Fellow Alkidikes are not exempt from this, she doesn't care who it is, just get out of her way or you're going to have some scarring.

* Tied with this is an unusual amount of physical strength. This child is much stronger than the average Youngling. She can push, lift and carry medium sized boulders with very little effort. Never argue with her while you're near giant rocks. |3

Obstinate

Tahigwa does what she wants, acts the way she wants to, and doesn't give two flying fruit loops about what you have to say about it. You can try to persuade her, bribe her, or even hold her back from doing something, but 99% of the time, she'll find a way to stamp her feet and do it anyway.

* Along with her gift of strength, Tahigwa is very nimble on her feet. She almost never loses her balance and can change directions when running at the snap of a finger. This makes her very difficult for both the elder Alkidikes and slower people to catch.

Longing

Despite being so hardheaded and disagreeable, Tahigwa has a lonesome, empty center to all her madness. Her eyes are commonly filled with a deep sense of longing for love and support, something she feels she needs, but doesn't want to sacrifice parts of herself to attain. (See other traits for "parts of herself")

* Tahigwa loves being high up in trees and spends most of her days hopping from tree limb to tree limb. This is where she does most of her thinking. She also uses trees for sneaking around after people, mainly Yaholo, and can be seen clinging to tree limbs and peering around trunks if you watch carefully.

Personality:

Tahigwa's the nightmare child of the Alkidike tribe. She doesn't follow directions, bites and claws at the elders, and screams when asked to do anything that she doesn't want to do. Her combative, consistently sour demeanor is as unpleasant to listen to as it is to witness first hand. This little one doesn't care about helping her sisters and refuses to sit still for long periods of time. She wants to run through the woods, explore the world, and make her own path, and no one can tell her "no" without a fight.

Though this little monster packs quite a distressing punch, she makes up for it with a surprising thirst for knowledge and understanding. Tahigwa wishes to better understand her world and what it means to be alive in such a diverse menagerie of cultures and people. Her mind is always a buzz with thoughts, from escape plots to questions about flora and fauna. It's puzzling, but true to say, that she would make an excellent student if she could just sit still. But little Tahigwa learns best by running free and following others, sitting and listening just won't do.

Finally, Tahi has a deep set longing that can make her appear lonesome or listless. She may not enjoy being told what to do or not to leave when she wants to, but this doesn't mean that she wants to be exempt from having love and attention. Sometimes she'll drop her angry, combative front when she feels overwhelmed by the need for the comfort of a hug from one of her sisters, but, sadly, most of the time, she'll find a way to stop herself. She doesn't want to sacrifice her "stronger half" just so her "weaker half" can be taken care of. Thus, her eyes are often filled with look of longing, before they and quickly narrowed and turned away from view.

Description:
This time, I made REFERENCES! 8D -shot-

Without hair to show markings
With hair and hair ribbons

Her markings are basically squiggles and loops with dashes through them. However, her body is also covered in heart-shaped markings, too. :3
Her dreads are tied into big pigtails. She looks so cute and unhappy to be here. 8D; -shot-

Clothing: No clothes, but she does have ribbons in her hair.
Can't decide color...
(See description for up close shot of ribbons)

Accessories: Just the hair ribbons. :3
History:

Tahigwa's life started out as normal as most Alkidike children. She bloomed from a Lotus of Aisha, tumbled out into her mother's arms, and smiled at all of the women who surrounded her. Her mother was strong willed and cunning, but had a deep scar in the center of her chest that reached all the way down to her amputated leg, something that Tahigwa found fascinating. The scar, as explained by her mother, was from a wild animal that had attacked her many years before. It was something her mother wasn't fond of, but not because of it's appearance. It reminded her of someone she wanted to get back to, a lover from a humanoid tribe.

The story her mother weaved brought great curiosity to young Tahigwa's eyes. Her mother's lover had treated her with such love and generosity, and they were to have a child from Aisha the year she was attacked. But before the question of who her elder sibling was could be asked, her mother cried and explained that she was unable to return to Aisha in time to retrieve her child's flower, and the child had travelled back home with the wrong settlement. Her mother had been too injured to search for her child back then, but when she was well enough to do so, she was told that he had been lost during a trek in the forests. Her son was forever lost, and she was to just forget him and move on. Tahigwa wrinkled her nose at this "ending" and promised her mother that, one day, she would bring her older brother home.

Tahigwa's mother then fell ill and wasn't allowed to leave her home. Little Tahi was ushered out into the world with her sisters, and day by day, she grew more discontent. She didn't want to help gather food, she didn't want to clean or play with the other Younglings, she wanted to run into the forests and explore! But no one would let her. For weeks she felt pinned to her tribe, running away every chance she could, and didn't think she could take her elder's "demands" much longer.

Then, a strange Alkidike appeared in the tribe and greeted a young tribe member, before being chased away. Tahigwa watched, her mouth gaping wide. This Alkidike was male, and had attributes of one of the Earthling tribes! Even more so, his markings were fairly similar to that of her mother's, even if they were sparse. Within seconds, Tahigwa had taken off after him and followed him all the way out to the edge of the forests. Black eyes peered, curiously and hopefully, and a smile formed on her face. She lunged outwards and gripped his leg, causing him to scream in shock.

"Whaaaa!? Where did you come from?!" He gasped.

"The tribe you got chased from!" Tahigwa replied.

"Ah! You shouldn't have followed me! I'll have to bring you back!" He said, leading her back into the forests. "I got lost a really long time ago when I wandered away from my tribe. I don't want that to happen to you."

Tahigwa smiled as she was lead back to her tribe. If this wasn't her "lost" brother, then who was?

Pidgeons Go Meow X3

First of all let me say that I'm incredibly excited to see Tahigwa in action.

She sounds like the perfect little brat and for all the right reasons.
Her history sounds wonderful and I love how you tied the two together and gave reason for no one claiming Yaholo.

I just have a couple of questions and comments, mostly about appearance with a little bit of history.

Now in the history it says the mother fell ill. Is she still alive and just bedridden?
Will Yaholo meet his mother? How will Yaholo's father react to knowing his previous love is still alive (if she is)?

AND... her hair looks adorable, but having hearts all over her body probably wouldn't happen. I can play with her markings and give her hearts in some areas and heart-like stripes in others and make it work out if you give me the go ahead to tweak it.

Other than that she seems awesome, and I can't wait for Niabi to meet her later.

Thank you! ;w; She's going to be so much fun. Following Yaholo around, disobeying everyone, who wouldn't love her? |3

Yes, her mother is alive and bedridden. Tahigwa will sneak in to her mother's room and snuggle up to her, but most of the time she's not allowed to stay with her mother for too long, for fear that whatever her mother may be ill with could spread to her. Tahigwa LOATHES this rule and sneaks in more than she should.

Eventually, yes. Yaholo won't meet her immediately, but will be told about who she is and how sick she is. He'll probably want to become a Guard first before meeting her, just to add a little "Hey, ma! Look at how strong I became!" for pride's sake. |3 Before he meets her, though, he'll be pretty busy with Tahigwa. Maybe, one day, she'll follow him back to Tale and cause a stir with the Leaf Tribe. I'm thinking that she'll wander into his house and meet Yaholo's half-sister, Pahana, who's rather cheery and bossy. Big brother'll have to keep them from quarreling too much. XD

Go ahead and tweak her markings! I had made a sketch of her with less markings that I could upload for you, if you'd like a comparison. I just need to fix it up a little. :3

I am SO happy you took Niabi. Now Yaholo has one of his friends to hang out with! 8D

Ah! I forgot a question! |3

In regards to Yaholo's father's reaction, I believe the news would be withheld from him a first, before eventually being blurted out. (Probably by Tahigwa) He'd probably be excited and be eager to visit her, but wouldn't dare leave Walvia for her. However, I don't plan on either side having ill feelings for one another, and Yaholo's mother will probably be considered a member of the family. Walvia, being fairly considerate, might even be sisterly towards her.

The rest of the tribe's opinion will remain unknown for the moment. I'm not sure about them just yet. :3

If you want to upload the sketch you can, though if it's a hassle don't worry about it. :]

Other than that she looks fine and your answers sound great

That's the sketch, fixed up as best as possible. Those were the original markings. :3

Well, I'll keep those all in mind when the time comes for art. But besides that, she's good and
