It seemed the long that Zuri was in Jahaur the more she discovered that people born of two different tribes weren't as uncommon as she once believed. There weren't many she could remember in Zena, well none actually, but maybe they had been hidden from her? She wondered... But still, she had met Aminah who was half shifter and half leaf. She wondered how many others there were out there, and what kind of mixes were made. She herself was a surprising mix how many others were out there? And what exactly happened when a halfbreed and a full something had children? Were they also considered half? Or something else. She had yet to meet one of those.
With halfbreeds on her mind. Zuri was walking about the forest, as always with Belle in tow. She was thinking of traveling again, though the thought of leaving Biroki made it not seem as fun as it once was. She was just so curious and there was much she had yet to see.

Today was one of those days for Yaholo where nothing seemed to be going right. He had woken up with an ache in his head, managed to forget to fill his satchel of water with fresh, not luke warm water, and confused his Alkidike friend, Niabi, with another girl who probably wanted to kill him. As he navigated his way through the rain forest landscape, one hand held gently to his throbbing cranium, he let out a groan. This was going to be a long day, wasn't it?

Belle made a noise and Zuri could have swore that she heard a groan come from somewhere. Who could that be? Zuri was sure she was alone in the forest, well at least alone in the little part of the forest she was in at the moment. Holding her spear out in front of her Zuri moved to stand in front of Belle. "Whos there?!" she called out unable to make out who the person was since there was some trees and bushes in between her and Yaholo.

"Wha-Hua?!" Yaholo yelped, leaping back at the sound of Zuri's voice. Where in the hell did that voice come from? Green eyes darted around and around, which only made his headache worse. Not good, not good! He had to calm down or else his head might explode! "My name is Yaholo!" He screamed. "Are you Alkidike or human? I mean no harm either way!"

Her eyes narrowed at the yelp. Were all the men of the forest so easily scared? When he said his name and asked if she was human or Alkidike she tilted her head, her spear still held in front of her. "Human..." she said slowly. She didn't lower her spear but she moved closer to where she heard his voice come from until she was in his sights. She slowly put down her spear. "I'm sorry if I scared you. You can never be too careful out here." she said with a smile. "I'm Zuri." and with that she offered him her hand, a truce.

Yaholo breathed a sigh of relief. Good, it wasn't one of the Alkidikes looking for another whack at his noggin. He smiled, despite his headache, and shook Zuri's hand warmly. "No worries, Zuri." He said. "This isn't the safest place to wander about, you need to keep your guard up as much as possible." He paused, squinting his eyes as the throbbing intensified. "Ah-ha, forgive me. My name is Yaholo. If I look odd, it's because of this headache I've woken up with today. It's gotten worse over the course of the day, I'm afraid."

Zuri nodded, he was correct. Wandering the forests weren't the safest thing she could be doing, but then again she enjoyed it and so far she had been able to keep both her and her companion safe. When he said he looked odd because of a headache she wanted to laugh, but held her composure. He looked odd because he was a halfling, like her, but then again to call him out on it would be like the pot calling the kettle black. However she was pretty sure she had something in her bag for headaches, Biroki had given it to her once and she always kept it for just in case. "It's nice to meet you Yaholo, and I have medicine for headaches if you would like some?" she offered while reaching into her bag and pulling out a little pill. "My... Mate.... Is a mage and he gave them to me, but it looks like you need them more then I do." She was unsure of what to call Birkoi, but mate seemed fine. It was her first time calling him that out loud.

Yaholo tilted his head as he was offered the pill. What was that tiny thing? How could it help his head, being so small? Unsure of what to do with the object, but more than desperate to relief his headache, he took the pill and held it against his forehead. "Thank you for this...Uh..." He paused, his eyes closing. "...I'm not using this correctly, am I?"

Okay, this time Zuri couldn't hold in her laughter. "I'm.... sorry." she said between her laughter. With her hand on her stomach Zuri finally stopped laughing. "Please, please forgive me. No you aren't doing it right. You swallow the pill, either with or without water, and then soon you will feel better. If you need water I also have some." she said with a smile. Oh this was too much, did the Alkidikes not have medicine? And he was obviously not fully Alkidike either, what of his other race? Had he truly never been given medicine?

Yaholo, through his humiliation, began to laugh along with Zuri. Yep, he wasn't right! When was he ever doing the right thing? He lifted his hand from his forehead, giving another eyebrow raise to the pill, and raised his water carrier from it's place in his satchel.
"Ah-ha, swallow it with water, riiight..." He muttered, hoping he would convince her that he had simply forgotten how to take medicine and that he wasn't some numskull who had just spent half his journey in Jauhar looking for an edible root that only grew back home in Tale to use as medicine. He popped the pill in his mouth and took a good swig of water before placing his water carrier back in his satchel and turning back to Zuri.
"Thank you very much for the medicine, Zuri." He said with a smile. "Is there anything I can do to repay you?" He would do anything to make up for how stupid he looked, ANYTHING.

Zuri smiled as he redeamed himself, glad that he was one to laugh along instead of getting mad at her for laughing. It was interesting, since the Earthlings were of different races, races that before recently rarely mingled, they all had different ways to fix problems. Where she was use to using a pill to cure a headache made by a healer, there was most likely a way that he was use to using.
"It was not a problem, not at all. I'm just glad I had it on me to give to you." she said with a nod. When he offered to repay her she smiled. "Well if you don't have anywhere to be maybe you can accompany me? I was planning on gathering some fruits today, and it is always more enjoyable with company." she asked. If he had somewhere to be she wouldn't mind, but she would enjoy some company.

"Of course!" Yaholo exclaimed. "I'd be more than happy to help you, after all, you just made my whole day a lot easier!" He chuckled, rubbing the back of his head with his hand. "That headache was horrible, even the most dim of light burned my eyes. I can't thank you enough!" He wandered over to her side and motioned forward. "Lead the way, Zuri!"

Zuri smiled, she was happy to not have to do it by herself. "I understand, I've had those kinds of headaches before. They aren't fun in the least. I'm glad that I could help." she said happily. She started to walk, it was a little far where she normally went and got the fruits. They had some time to talk. "So Yaholo, where are you from? I've never seen you around here before." she asked curiously.

"I'm from Tale," Yaholo replied, smiling. "I live with my father, who's part of the Leaf Tribe. He's pretty awesome, even if he can be a little crazy." He laughed, thinking about how his father can act. "Have you ever met someone who would leap into your room in the morning and scream 'There are roots in my boots' until you woke up? MY father does it ALL THE TIME." He rolled his eyes and smiled. "Where are you from, Zuri?"

Zuri listened, and when he spoke of his father she smiled. It was nice to see that there were nice fathers like her own out there. "I can't say that I have ever met someone that crazy. But when I was little to wake up my siblings and I my father would run around the house screaming until we were all out of bed sometimes." she said smiling fondly at the memory.
"I live here now, however I am originally from Zena. I grew up there with my father and two adopted siblings, but I moved here to met my mother and I've been in Jauhar ever since." she said with a nod. She had traveled far and for a long time before coming to her new home.
