The rain may have chased other noodles indoors, but Water Lily adored it. She had run to the park early that morning, despite the dark clouds looming above her.
In her head she could hear her friend Juliette scolding her for standing outside in the cold, even though it was a warm, light rain. Juliette always worried too much, and now that her daughter was grown her worry just seemed to increase. But none of that would stop Water Lily from splashing around outside like a kit in a mud puddle.
The grass under her paws was slick and wet, which tickled the area between her toes. She giggled at it, and started to squish her paws into the soggy plants. A silly grin crossed her face at the weird feeling.
