━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Team ↠ AlphaxxLocation ↠ The bell rang as it marked the end of class. Eli who was helping the Biology professor in class with an experiment, paused and looked to the students as they rushed to put their text books away and rush off to whatever break or class followed.
Never really paying attention to the students that came and went every semester, as social outlooks were never too high for the professor's assistant, one student this time around as students weaved in and out of each other like vehicles on the high way. However, this time, the glimpse of someone had caught his attention. Alpha's newest recruit. It wasn't so much that she was a new recruit on his team, but more of the fact that Finn resembled someone who started impacting his life before the had disappeared when he had to leave the Academy to visit his sister.
Considering it was a break in the professor's schedule too, Eli grabbed his text books and slowly maneuvered his way through the few students left in the room. "Hey." Eli said, moving his way slowly over to her. The social awkwardness radiating off of him. "So, how was your first mission? Adjusting well to this place?" Eli asked, placing one arm across his body and grabbing the opposite bicep, creating a slight wall between the two, his unease being almost palpable. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ OOC ↠

Biology wasn't her first choice of a science class, but she needed the credit. Registering late in the semester was the downfall of any college student. Instead of chemistry, she ended up in biology. But, much like everything, you roll with it and do what you need. Finn wasn't a bad student. In fact, she was one of the better ones. At the moment, though, fighting with her own abilities was making lessons difficult.
Her senses made her brain more of a sponge than most. Finn was trying to actively focus on the words in her textbook and push aside events from the past. In one of her power skills classe, it was suggested to her to try and filter what she needed and what she didn't need. Focus on now and push away then. Read the words, hear the talk, and pass aside the smell of hair burning across the aisle because somebody lit a match rather closely to an extra furry student. I don't like this method. Finn silently decided. There had to be a way for her to take in everything and analytically use it.
"You are awesome," Finn's lab partner exclaimed when their task was done with success.
Her mind was in such a logical state at the moment that Finn didn't really register the elation and blinked to snap herself out of it, "What did ah do?" Finn was slightly confused since all she did was talk them through the steps they had to do. Finish the job. She was good at that.
"Finn, I've failed this class twice," Jenn closed her text book, "You are the best lab partner ever. I'm heading to town tonight with some of the other girls, you should come with. You're new. Being new sucks."
"Nah, it's not too bad," Finn smiled and closed her own book, "If yer not new sometimes, then yer old... that's just borin'."
"You're cool, Finn," Jenn headed out of class to meet up with some of her friends. Finn slid her book in her bag and slowly cleaned up her things. She never found much of a point in being in a hurry when she didn't have to be. Now, when there were Sentinels breathing down her neck, that was another question in speed. A smirk slid across her lips. Jenn was one of the few people that didn't tiptoe around her like she was going to bite.
Speaking of tiptoeing. She heard the footsteps coming her direction and knew who they belonged to before looking up. While she was doing her experiment, Finn couldn't help but keep track of who was where in the room. She also started making herself familiar with the sounds and scents of her teammates. It wasn't something she was perfect at. Memory still had to be trained to retain the things she picked up, but being that they were in a classroom and not in a large concorse... it was Eli. He was walking with an unease. Hesitation in his foot patterns.
"Hey cowboy," Finn looked up with a friendly smile but recognized the barrier Eli had put up standing there. Finn wasn't offended and didn't change her stance based on it. She very much understood the confusion, slight mis-trust, and uncertainty amongst some people. Having the face of somebody they lost wasn't easy, but she also was trying to break the walls. She was Finn, nobody else.
"Ah don't know, Eli, does anybody really adjust to bein' an X-Man? Ah jumped through every hoop they could throw at me at those military 'schools'... but ain't nothin' like what we just saw..." She slung her bag over her shoulder and pressed her lips together thoughtfully, "Ah have to admit that ah didn't get why Alphas got nervous, but ah get it now... also thinks it keeps ya'll human. How're you holdin' up?"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Team ↠ AlphaxxLocation ↠ Eli gave a confused look and raised an eyebrow slightly as he was referred to as 'cowboy.' If anything, it was Blake who should be considered the cowboy since he was from Texas, not only that, he filled out every other country cowboy stereo that Eli knew about.
"With your accent, wouldn't it be closer to you being a cowboy, only a girl instead, than myself?" Eli asked, straight forward with a terrible attempt at humor. Granted it wasn't his fault, his best friends were books.
Finn asked him in return if anyone adjusted to being an X-Man. In truth he could name a couple, but it seemed only a rhetorical question. She pressed on readying herself to leave, as she made a statement about The Alpha's uneasiness.
"I couldn't tell you why we get nervous. I mean, well, I know why I do. I can't comprehend everyone else's reasoning though." Eli said, turning slightly prepping himself to leave. "I don't know what it is about you military people though." Eli said, referencing Michael who gave himself and Alice a slight pep talk. "But it seems whatever they do to you guys gets rid of butterflies." He finished thinking aloud. He slowly started to walk off, almost seemingly forgetting that he was just engaged in a full on conversation with someone. It wasn't normal, so it wasn't really kept track of.
Pausing and stopping himself Eli turned back to Finn. "Sorry about that, uhm, do you, I dunno," Eli paused for a moment, trying to figure a way to not be rude and keep the conversation at hand going. "do ya maybe wanna get some food?" He asked, turning himself back towards her slightly awaiting her answer. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ OOC ↠

Eli's attempt at humor was about as bad as her own attempts at justifying and reasoning why people did what they do. But his bad humor... humored... her so she snickered in response. Can I think the word humor again...? She took no offense to his almost meandering off mid-conversation. From what she had gathered, Eli, like a good number of people here were still finding their ground socially. That was just life.
This entire school seemed like a study on human nature... or mutant nature. Growing up, yeah, she dealt with being one of the lone mutants on the bases her mother was stationed at... and in college it was just college kids finding their way. Here was the added level of dealing with being a mutant (often a hated mutant) and the awkwardness of finding how you fit in with the world. She wondered what it was that made Eli hide in his shell. Is it my face or is it his nature? Maybe both?
Either way, she was glad he paused himself. There was no way she was going to build relationships with people on her team if they ran from her. But she also wasn't the type to force things on people so she would have let him walk away if he had chosen.
"Ah would love to get food, but I warn you, ah'm a food snob. Between havin' more tastebuds than normal people and a former-culinary student... ah'm a terrible lunch date," Finn joked about herself and joined his side letting him lead the way. Trailing back to his prior comments, "Ah promise to find a better suited nickname for ya. Think it's more interestin' to have one. Gives us all a little more color... as fer me. Ah've lived all over the place on bases... ain't really a military person aside from being raised by one... an' them tryin' to convince me that "advanced gym classes" in high school weren't mutant pokin' grounds. Between mah mom an' them... ah just kinda learn to do the job an' make sure you do it well."
"Ah'm all about adaptin' when I need to. Truth is, mah accent is even acquired." Slowing down her speech pattern (not realizing she sounded more like the girl she was a ghost of as well) and really thinking about it, she tried to bring back her original New England accent, "Ah.. have..." She paused to concentrate on her wording, "I have a habit of picking up accents where I live. My mother says it's my ability that makes me do it." It sounded almost painful to her to slow her speech down because it had been so long since she had to. Truth probably was that she'd be talking like a New-Yorker within the year. Some might call her a poser. She would call it nature.
"Ah'm sorry... ah talk too much."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Team ↠ AlphaxxLocation ↠ To the cafeteria Eli continued to lead Finn through the hallways, uncertain if the snicker was at his bad taste of humor, or at the humor itself. Uncertain he continued to lead onward to the cafeteria.
"Date..? Eli asked with curiosity. He had heard the word get thrown around between his fellow students at the academy, but never ventured the guess as to what it was. Nor did it pique his interest in looking it up. "I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean." He continued. If he had to guess it was clearly some kind of social interaction, and if he recalled correctly, it was something specifically between opposite sexes. Very rarely had it been used between two of the same sex.
"But, if you truly are picky, there is a whole selection to choose from. I'd be be baffled if you couldn't pick even an item or two to your liking." Eli said. But with that being said, it was also very easy for Eli to pick something. He wasn't picky, as long as it had the daily vitamins and nutrients, he didn't care of the taste.
"A nick name huh?" Eli said softly. He never really had one and to him his code name didn't count because it was for professional use. He shook the thought off and turned a corner. Hustling, bustling, and clamorous gossip could be heard from the end of the hall. The aroma of assorted foods of different ethnic groups flooded the air.
"Well. Whatever it may be, you picked up something useful." Eli said, referencing her jumping from base to base. He hadn't really picked up much from his father who served. To be honest, he hated his father, and was always wary of those having been belonged to or surrounded by any military. Hence why he had issues with Michael in the last mission. To him they all seemed like pompous judgmental douche bags.
"It's okay. You talking makes up for my lack of." Eli said, leading Finn into the cafeteria. Although it seemed much more like a food court than a school cafeteria. "There's your continental food, Latin, Oriental, European foods, salad bar, and miscellaneous fruits and whatever assortments you would like to consume." The magnetokinetic explained, pointing to each location as he explained what was what. He waited for her to pick what she wanted before decided what he wanted, this time to make sure he didn't walk off without considering his company. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ OOC ↠

Finn Lariette Codename: Ghost Team: Alpha Thinking: ....food...
There were days where she was very much like Eli and didn't say much at all. Observing people made the world more interesting than her mouth ever could. On the other days, when she started talking, it was like a bulldozer running everybody over. Her mind was in a million places at once usually and it just spewed from her vocal cords as well. Shiny objects and squirrels. She took a breath when she finally let Eli interject. Her mind also went back through their conversation and processed the limited replies he had knowing they crossed her ears but she didn't shut up long enough to actually carry the conversation properly.
"Don't worry. 'Date' has about 100 definitions. Meetin's, events, ticks on a calender... an outin' where two individuals try to seek if they're compatible and generally put way too much pressure on themselves.. but this is two teammates havin' a lunch. A friendly meetin'... unless I drive you crazy and then there might not be much friendliness about it," Finn smiled again, because that's what she does. She didn't find much of a point to be too grumpy and too serious in general... unless on a mission and then it was business time.
The cafeteria was an onslaught of food to her senses. She had avoided it since getting there knowing that it was going to slap her in her face. How did people like Wolverine do it? Take it all in and not totally lose it?
"Holy Moses... even my last college didn't have this much... and I was in their culinary program..." Her little foody self was kind of excited about this room. She couldn't help it. Even if her mutation made her finicky about food quality, she got excited about varieties and trying new things, "Ah'm not picky per say... just really critical. Some people get opinionated about their music or clothes... ah get opinionated about what makes a quality meal."
Goodness the smell of curry and chili powder is overwhelming here... the chef is very heavy handed. She got a scent of a tomato base and suddenly had the urge for something "homey". It seemed to suit her feeling of wanting something familiar after having been on a mission. She knew what she wanted and led the way into a line, "Irish Beef Stew... not the most luxurious meal in the joint but it's so warm and comfy.... and really who doesn't like a bowl made of bread? I don't know if ah'd trust somebody who didn't like a bowl made of bread."
She smiled recognizing that some of her sarcasm had been lost earlier in their conversation, "And ah'm jokin'... maybe."
Tilting her head to the side, Finn studied his expression at her last comment, "Ah can chatter from now until the end of lunch, but that'd be rather rude. What makes you tick, Eli? When yer not suitin' up or studyin', what're you doin'?"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Team ↠ AlphaxxLocation ↠ Eli nodded quietly as she explained to him what a date was. The magnetokinetic smirked slightly, letting out a small exhale at Finn's statement, and matched expression as she commented the assault on her senses.
"Culinary program? So you can maybe top the chefs here?" Eli mused aloud. He pondered, what it was that he wished to consume today? He needed more brain food. Fish. What style though? However, his ears liked the sound of a soup in a bowl.
"I do like the sound of a bread bowl soup." He mumbled quietly. "New England." Eli finished, declaring which type of clam chowder he so chose. He looked around the cafeteria. The crowds, and the bustling. He didn't like the social atmosphere. So cluttered, so much gossip. To him, so much... waste of time. It was often that Eli would grab his food and go to his room to continue on projects.
"So. What is your take on here? What's it like compared to a military base?" Eli asked, before they split to get the food they so wished to consume. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ OOC ↠

Finn Lariette Codename: Ghost Team: Alpha Location: Class Time Thinking: ....processing...
Finn entertained the notion of her own skill in the kitchen. She was still a student at the fine art of cooking and probably nothing to brag about. Her palate could pull apart all the flavors in a dish and her brain could dissect what she wanted to do. The translation from point a to point b (her hands) was still something she was learning to do. And the theory behind cooking and combinations... the styles. So much to learn that it made her salivate just thinking about it.
"Give me a few years," She challenged herself, "Ah'm still a student. Chefs are arrogant pricks but ah haven't earned any stripes to have an ego yet. But ah can definitely give people a run for their money."
When Eli asked her what she thought about this place, she muttered the first thing on her mind, "It's loud." She loved this school more than anything she'd experienced thus far, but Finn was aware of her own downfalls. The day had been loud and busy... eventually it would start hitting her like a sledgehammer.
"Ah like not havin' mah mom breathin' down my neck an' havin' control over where my bed is located. Got tired of base hopin' every few years. She kept our household like they made her keep her schedule. Ah guess that helps me here with stayin' on task and gettin' the job done."
Somebody dropped a glass somewhere and she closed her eyes as her brain tried to count each shard that bounced across the floor. How do people shut their powers off? Walking towards the line for her food, she sheepishly asked, "Would ya think me weird if ah asked if we ate on the lawn? My brain needs a rest."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Team ↠ AlphaxxLocation ↠ Eli shrugged, "The years are yours for the taking, I've none to give you." the magnetokinetic responded with another bad joke. He could feel the awkwardness of his words and that spread to his self awareness. He looked over his shoulder as if he were just scanning the room. In truth he was doing it to hide his shame.
"And I guess that's a good way to put it." Eli responded. He wasn't to keen on parents, not if you read into his back story. Finn gave the impression of, not particularly a goody two shoes, but the closest comparable would be a model student body president. At least the prioritization and finish what's needed aspect. Or maybe it was just Eli's lack of being in a school environment and only his assumptions that gave this impression
"I've no objections." Eli responded to her question. It'd be a change of pace from eating left overs in his room working on his projects. The smell of left over broccoli or fish lingered until the auto fresheners kicked in. Eli was glad for not having a roommate. They'd probably hate him for that.
Eli stepped off to get his own food. He scanned the room every couple of times and stood in line waiting for his turn to the food selections. In his little time of waiting he pondered what new experiments he could work on in the mean time since his particle accelerator was put on hold do to some safety concerns with the Academy.
After several long minutes that felt like hours. Eli walked his way to the end of the line that Finn went through and waited for her to go to wherever outside it was that she desired. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ OOC ↠

Finn Lariette Codename: Ghost Team: Alpha Location: Class Time Thinking: ....calm...
Finn couldn't help but smile and giggle a bit at Eli's joke. They humored her, but not in an insulting (towards him) way. The jokes were pointedly cheesy but she appreciated them. She also appreciated that he was trying. There seemed to be a difference between Eli on the field and Eli in a crowd. When they were in that room of soldiers, he was unphased. In this place, his body language gave her the feeling he was unsure of himself and less comfortable with people than he was a shelf of books. There was nothing wrong with that, though. Sometimes books were better friends than people. People could be jerks. But still, he was taking time to talk to her and she imagined that wasn't the easiest thing in the world to do.
Waiting in line, she had some small talk with a few kids she had seen around classes but she mostly watched and listened to people. The chattering was assaulting her senses a little too much. She found herself watching Eli as he waited in line. Lines of questions flew through her mind as her ears tried pushing out the clicks of spoons against dishes. He's not a social type of person... why is he going out of his way to join me for lunch? Is he being a good new teammate? Is it because people are trying to figure me out? What are the layers of the onion... did I just quote Shrek? She cut her own brain from it's conscious line of thinking when her food was handed to her and she swiped her school card to pay for it.
"Let's head out to the fountains? Water calms mah brain down" Finn lead the way out of the door. Granted, it calmed her down more if she was in the water. Everything was muddied and close to silent for her. The only thing more calming was the creepy sensory depravation chamber that Cyclops highly recommended... ordered... her into when her senses got to be too much to handle. She wished she could learn to block things and compartmentalized the input like other sensory mutants.
Finn sat on the edge of the fountain and could feel a little bit of the pressure off her mind. The sound of water was calming and loud enough to block out much of the white noise behind them. She picked up her spoon and nibbled at her stew pleased with it. Definitely better than she expected.
Finn, being Finn, asked a random question, "If ya could be anywhere else right now, where would ya be? Ah don't see ya as bein' a go-to-lunch-with-teammates kind of guy."
Her mind continued a random tangent as she picked a potato out of her stew. She rolled it around on her tongue and could tell that it was slightly undercooked and had no more than five granules of garlic on it. She also couldn't help but count the moles on his face. It wasn't specific to him per say. She was always observing, always counting. On the other hand, Finn would be an idiot if she didn't notice she was sitting with one of the more handsome team members. Finn wasn't an idiot.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Team ↠ AlphaxxLocation ↠ Fountain Eli, outwardly unresponsive to Finn laughing at his jokes, was uncertain if it was at him or not. But judging by her humbled politeness, he could only assess that she was being genuine. Either he was succeeding in his social humor department, she was being nice, or just had a bland taste in humor.
Eli fumbled with his silverware as he used his magentokinetic abilities to collect it while Finn set path towards the Fountain. What was it with the fountain? It always seemed that he found himself there. And Pools. He wasn't too keen on swimming. And the beach was the only soothing place to him that involved water. And that was mainly for the marine biology aspect.
Eli waited until Finn began to dig in to her meal before Eli started on his. He placed a napkin in his lap and picked up the spoon, stirring up the chowder a bit and skimmed a spoonful off the top. He blew on it and took a bite, a fair sized chunk of clam in the first bit. It was good, as always. He much preferred New England over Boston Clam Chowder. He looked to his fellow Alpha as she seemed to enjoy her own meal. I mean, it wasn't bad, it can't be helped. When you're risking your life just by living, the easiest way to treat yourself is by treating your taste buds.
She randomly asked, as Eli was taking another bite where it was he would rather be. He paused and hesitated before putting the next bite into his mouth. "Home, with my little sister." Eli didn't even bother to think if Finn meant only on campus. But, one of the things that Eli always worried about was his younger sister. To him, she was his number one concern. He may give the impression that it was all about science, studies, and duties. But at the same time, he never really engaged in conversation with anyone, so it wasn't as though he intentionally hid this fact.
"And normally, I'm just in my room working on projects. Besides, when I first got here, it wasn't fun. So I figured since my projects are put on hold, I'd ensure you don't hate it like I did." He half lied between bites of his clam chowder. Yes, his projects were on hold. But his real reason for going out of his way for Finn was because of her mirror like image of Eve. Not in the sense that he wanted answers from her, or that he wanted to see if they were remotely similar. He could already tell they weren't. Eve was more outgoing and was nowhere near as humble as Finn is.
Maybe it had to do with some kind of interest of the fact that it was Evelynn who first started to break his shell. She left the wedge in crack; and right now Finn was helping drive the wedge without even swinging. It was weird. It scared Eli. He stopped and thought as he silently ate now, uncertain if Finn would read his lies. But, he was nervous. Was he over thinking? Well, honestly, yes. That's all Eli did.
He paused to take a glance at Finn after taking another bite. He noticed that she was staring, unaware of her observation and fearing her judgement. But, he did note that she was concentrated on him. Slowly, he started to wipe his cheek in concern that his fellow teammate was staring at food stuck on the corner of his lip or on his cheek.
"B-but, um. Where would you rather be?" He asked, shoving his excess thoughts to the back of his head, trying to relieve the nervous tension that began to build up. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ OOC ↠ LOVE the Shrek Reference (:

Finn Lariette Codename: Ghost Team: Alpha Location: Class Time Thinking: ....need my own social skills...
Sometimes Finn was an idiot and she didn't realize it. Her constant observations often were split second but sometimes... not so much. She put closed her eyes to stop herself and had a sheepish smirk, "Ah'm sorry. Ya absolutely do not have food on yerself. So very sorry, just tell me to stop if ah'm starin'. Honestly don't realize ah'm doin' it. Ah'm not the slyest observer sometimes and ah have a hard time shuttin' it off. Always goin'. Ah've a lot to learn about what mah power is."
Finn really did feel bad about that and like a mutant newbie. But she was. Four years of non-training really was nothing compared to what these guys had gone through. Part of her wanted to look away feeling really self-conscious about her own oddities, but she overwhelmingly accepted the fact that she simply screwed up sometimes and knew that she'd have to learn to be better over time.
"Think it's good of ya to want to be with yer sister. How old is she?" Finn didn't know much about her teammates and their history. She had been tempted to read their files knowing how to get them, but Finn felt that it was up to them to tell her what they wanted people to know... or for her to ask. Things were picked up just by listening to the giant game of telephone going on in the halls.
She paused and looked toward the sky to think when Eli asked her about her own location desires. Wrinkling her brow, she gave her answer very soundly, "Here. Ah find that since havin' control of my own affairs I tend to be where ah want to be. Live right now an' don't wish away mah time. Since nobody can give me anymore time." Finn chuckled at her own joke and nudged Eli while she referenced his own joke from before so hopefully he knew she enjoyed the cheesy jokes.
Pulling a piece of bread from the bowl, she soaked it into the stew loving comfort food. One of the perks of being a mutant... an X-Man... or maybe just a mutant with high metabolism was being able to eat ridiculous amounts of comfort food and not gain a thousand pounds. While she ate she gave up on avoiding the mammoth in the courtyard, "Thank ya, Eli, fer talkin' with me. Ah can't imagine it's easy havin' me around. Ah'm not a fool. Evelyn meant a lot to a lot of people. There's that sayin' that we all have a twin somewhere an' unfortunately fer some dumb luck reason ah end up walkin' into the place mah twin was queen of. She must be somethin' amazin' but ah hope that eventually ah break past the what people see first about me... cause ah think ya'll are pretty fantastic."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Team ↠ AlphaxxLocation ↠ Eli let out a slight breath of air through his nostrils, and a small crease formed at the corner of his lips. "Oh." He responded, his still voice dull, lacking a matched pitch to the slight smile on his face. Slightly embarrassed as well. If he had clam chowder on his face, he would have felt it.
"She's four years younger than I am. So that'd make her 14." Eli said, as he tore off bread from the bowl and proceeded to dip it in the remains of his clam chowder. He sat and wondered if she was doing okay. She had no signs of a mutation, which made him happy. He didn't have to worry too much for her. He just wished that he could be here and over there to help her out. Maybe he'd go visit her again soon.
Eli raised an eyebrow at Finn's joke on his own joke. Although, he didn't exactly catch it until a few seconds after. Well that's good, she enjoyed his jokes. Even though he himself didn't understand how bad they were.
Eli perked his ears, holding the very bottom bits of his bread bowl that had some clam chowder pooled in it. He held it like a hand held pizza and bit into it, slurping the chowder up. He listened intently and dropped his eyes slightly. He felt sorta bad, uncertain if he offended her or not, despite her thanks.
"You're welcome. and it isn't hard having you around." He said after finishing the last bit of his clam chowder. He picked up a carrot and continued on, "But, it's already easy to tell you two apart. Aside from the accents, you're not tattoo'd up like she is. She also wasn't as humble as you are. You're an all around honest and up front person without being... I wouldn't say aggressive, but it's not hard to tell that you're genuine. You don't have the excess 'umph' that she always had. Not that that's bad. It's nice, and calming." The magnetokinetic muttered, his voice steadily going quieter as he explained. Uncertain if the words he chose were proper or not. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ OOC ↠

Finn Lariette Codename: Ghost Team: Alpha Location: Outside Thinking: ....calm...
Eli's words were a relief and really chipped away at the boulder she sometimes felt on her chest. This whispers in the hall always caught her ears. Finn knew what people would say. Most of them weren't on their team, but she still heard. Finn was never one to let those words sit on her mind long, but being a ghost wasn't the most fun either.
Finn's shoulders relaxed and she crumbled the container that had been holding her lunch as she spoke, "That makes me feel better. Thanks. It's weird walkin' around with somebody else's face but it's mah face. Nature is a weird beast. She sure sounds like a trip, though. Hope ah get to meet her someday."
She didn't want to linger on the subject as Evelyn really wasn't her business directly and she didn't want it to become a morbid obsession for her to ask questions. I didn't even think healers could tattoo... Maybe I should... No. Don't go down that road.
Looking at the trash bin about fifteen feet away from them, she randomly challenged, "No powers. Can ya hit that shot?" She held her container like a ball already wondering if it had the weight to be banked off a brick pillar but thinking the wind was more likely to pick it up first.
