Welcome to Camp Napowrimo! Camp National Poem Writing Month (All the Write Reasons' edition.) It's May and it's time to pick your team! Now, if you're asking me why, here's a brief explanation on what is quickly coming around the corner.
My name is Evil Emperor Ecchimaru, and I will be your Gaian Napowrimo camp leader for the months of June and July.
National Poem Writing Poem usually takes place in April. The object of the month long event is to write 30 poems in 30 days. Since it only seemed fair, we here at All the Write Reasons decided to launch our own camp version to run along side Camp Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month).
We also thought that a little friendly competition would help boost the moral of campers. So are you poetic geniuses ready to annihilate the novelist campers? I should hope so because come July 1st the war is on!
30 poems in 30 days? No problem. We've practically got this one in the bag.

Tips and Tricks
For Camp Napowrimo IMPORTANT! PLEASE REMEMBER: You need one poem written for each day of July. You can't catch up if you miss a day, and you can't write multiple days worth of poetry in one day. Please don't cheat!-Try to plan out the poems you would like to write during the month of July
-Keep in mind that sometimes (especially with poetry compilations) it's easier to work around a theme
-Don't be afraid to step beyond your usual boundaries. Keeping your poetry fresh and exciting will prevent the task from growing repetitive so try to experiment with different style and techniques
-Take a look at the poetic devices guide
-Keep notes on hand while you write
-Don't worry about editing until the end of July
-Keep a certain time set aside each day for writing your poem
-Reward yourself when you finish your daily poem
-Keep a dictionary and thesaurus on hand
-Make sure your writing space is comfortable
-If you ever need help, or someone to talk to about your work, don't be afraid to ask you guild teammates!

Dates to Remember
Note: In honour of Camp Nano/Napo, a subforum will be created specifically for the two campgrounds. During the next couple of months feel free to participate in thread flipping frenzies (just don't try to flip the stickies)! Points will be awarded to the camp who flips the most- so cheer for your team as much as you can! June 30: Camp kick off party! Meet in the guild chat space at 8pm ET!
July 1: First day of Camp Nanowrimo and Camp Napowrimo
July 5: Camp write in event (all campers meet in the campground subforum to write along side each other)
July 15: Halfway party! Meet in the guild chat space at 8pm ET!
July 25: Camp write in event (all campers meet in the campground subforum to write along side each other)
July 31: Last day of Camp Nanowrimo and Camp Napowrimo
August 1: Closing party! Meet in guild chat space at 8pm ET!

✔ Campers must complete the most they can in their camp (whether it be word goal or the poem a day challenge)
✔ Campers must show spirit. Can your cheer the loudest?
✔Campers must support their teammates. Imagine tug-o-war- can your team work together, and pull the hardest?

Awe... No one here yet... I feel... Alone... Left in desperation as those who once held my hand now push me away...
