Youngling you are not going to catch one of my kind today, I suggest you run back to your flying craft and go home.

Akilae froze, he was still on Ayr, still trying to track down and kill am Ayrala dragon for it's soul. Every time he got close he caught get caught or miss or the dragons would suddenly take to the skies, higher than he could shoot. It was enough to make him want to trek through the saves and go curl up in the meadow again. Not even using Ysali magic had he come closing to winning a fight against even the smallest Ayrala.

Nervously looking his lips he titled his head upwards and dark green pupils stared at up at a rather familiar looking dragon who had come to be silently perched above him. "Why.. why are you letting me go again?" It wasn't that he wasn't grateful for his life but the young man was certainly confused as to why the dragon kept sparing it.

The dragon, it sounded sort of female, let out a low rumble that sounded a lot like a chuckle. Youngling you are of no threat to me, a stiff breeze would knock you out into the ocean if I willed it and you have no wings yet. Besides your kind is rare and it would be a shame to kill you when you are so harmless.

The words stung at Akilae's pride and he wanted to fight against them, to strike at the her and show the dragon what he could do if he put his mind to it. He couldn't though, he wouldn't win and if he died .. well it would cause a lot of problems. Still it was a little soothing at least to hear that a dragon found him being a hybrid interesting.

With a sigh he stood, bowed once again to the merciful dragoness and walked away, this time headed straight for the the docks, he did not need to look back to know that somewhere out there in the blowing wind and cloudy skies was the dragoness making sure that he did not press his luck any further.
