"Caelia! Kyrie! Where are you?" Cosine frowned a little, stood in the middle of the light atrium of the apartment. They had been there a moment ago, playing on the tiled floor with some of her cards. Now the cards were scattered about and there were no little bundles of mischief to be seen. They had their father's knack for doing disappearing acts.
The goddess stood still for a moment, listening to see if she could hear a giggle or a wriggle. Disappearing they were good at, staying discreet and hidden not so much.

 This was far from a rare occurrence, really. It was almost a game itself - whenever mommy or daddy looked away, it was time to hide ! And oh, it was a game she was good at.
Caelia had chosen a large chest - usually full of toys that where now scattered around it. If Cosine was paying attention, she would likely see two sunrise colored eyes peek out. That is, if the steady stream of light giggles did not alert her mother first.

Kyrie had opted for a different hiding place. Crouched low behind a chair, she held her dark hands clasped together over her beak. As her mother called out for her and her sister, a hoarse laugh escaped her before she could clamp her beak together with her hands. This was a super fun game! It was like when she hid trinkets and sparkly things around their home... but better. Because she was getting to hide too. Little did she know that her back end was sticking ever so slightly out from behind the chair. She was too intent on keeping herself quiet to notice such little details.

Yep, there they were, those little sounds that signified hiding children. She glanced briefly to where Kyrie's tail feathers were poking out and then to the toy chest that seemed to have lost all it's toys. A smirk crossed her lips and she looked down to the cards on the floor, all were face down, bar one.
Well now, that was interesting. She raised an eyebrow and crouched down to pick the card up.
II the High Priestess.
"Well, it looks as though I am going to have to go to the temple all by myself." She mock sighed, straightening back up, her eyes fixed on the card in her hands. "What a shame, I thought Kyrie and Caelia reeeally wanted to come, now they are going to miss out on all the fun."

Caelia was sadly too focused on hiding herself to notice her sister's butt sticking out of her hiding place, even less so trying to communicate that fact.
But then... Mommy was leaving without them ??? Oh no no no no no ! Not good, not good at all. "No, mommy ! Wait !"
In her haste to get out of the chest, Caelia tripped over the side and ended up face first on the floor. "Owwww..."
....And then she just laughed.

Kyrie's good humor was put firmly on hold when her mother declared that she was leaving her and her sister behind. Immediately her face fell and she scrambled out backwards from her hiding place.
"No! Wanna go!" she cried out in her silent way, her eyes wide at the thought that she wouldn't get to go with her momma. The loud thud and smack drew her attention away from her mother to her sister. Seeing her sprawled out on the floor, she stood and stepped towards her. That looked like it hurt. "You okay Cae?" she asked as she moved to kneel beside her. Smirking as she laughed, she turned her big blue eyes up to her mother.

Yup, predictably her plan had worked as both girls came out from their hiding places. She watched Caelia tumble to the floor. There was that brief pause, where the world stopped for a moment whilst a child decided if it would cry or laugh. Caelia laughed and Cosine smiled. Yep, her kids were a mess.
"Well where did you two come from?" She asked in mock surprise, bending down to pick her cards up. Her daughter would pick herself up, she was a great believer in dealing with the concequences of your own stupidity, if she was laughing then she was not hurt at all.
"Now pick up your toys before we go."

Caelia would indeed pick herself up. "'m fine, Ky." This was not he first tumble, and it would not be the last.
Crying was for babies, anyway !
They had to pick things up. That meant the chest... Which she had happily emptied to hide in. Clear lack of foresight there, she realized with a frown, but she knew by now that she wouldn't win this perticular battle.
Had it been daddy... probably.
"Wanna help, Ky ?" The sooner they were done the sooner they'd go, after all.

Kyrie looked from her mother, back to her sister, and then around to the rather spectacular mess she had made. Though she didn't think it entirely fair that she should have to help pick up the mess, her thoughts were running right alongside Caelia's. The faster they threw everything back into the chest, the faster they could leave and go on their adventure with their mother.
"'Kay," she intoned with a cheerful grin and she quickly began scooping things up into her feathered arms and quite literally throwing them into the open chest with a spectacularly loud clatter.

Cosine watched them as she shuffled the tarot cards and slipped them into her bag. They weren't exactly putting things away carefully but she didn't much care as long as they were clearing things up. Aoide were not there to clear up after all of their messes.
"Good girls." She praised as they finished up. "Let's go." Cosine held her hands out to them to take if they wanted.

It did not take long to turn putting away into a game of it's own - Caelia throwing toys from as far away as she could manage and aiming for the chest, in some odd pseudo-basketball game. The girls' enthusiasm did mean that they would be done quickly enough.
"Thanks, Ky ! Let go~ !"
Mommy's temple was much more interesting than staying inside, after all. Caelia would forgo holding her mother's hand and instead run ahead, as she often did.

Kyrie giggled as she joined in Caelia's game, scrambling around to grab the next toy before her sister. As the last one was thrown in, she dropped the lid to the chest into place and turned at her mother and sister's beckoning. Bouncing over to her mother, her little hand found its way firmly into her mother's and she peered up at her.
"What we gonna do Mommy?" she asked as she skipped a little to keep up with her.

Cosine held Kyrie's hand firmly and followed Caelia out of the room and to the exit of the Pantheon.
"Don't run off too far Cae." She said, good humoured, yet firm. She knew all about her daughter's tendancy to charge off.
"We're going to my temple, it's finished and I want to show you both. You are the first to see it."

Thankfully for her mother, Caelia's excitement at finally seeing the inside of her mother's temple would be enough to keep her in line... for the time being, at least.
"You hear that, Ky ? We're the first to see it !" And that was just downright awesome. "I bet it's the best temple ever, too !"

Kyrie's eyes widened at her mother's announcement and she swung her head to look back at her sister. Giving a happy hop-skip, she clacked her beak excitedly.
"It so is! I already know!" she exclaimed happily, her little hand tightening around her mother's. "Are there gonna be birdies there?"
