I've noticed that some of you guys aren't active and haven't been doing much to be making the guild active. You need to post and help revive the discussion threads, you also need to be looking for new members so that the guild can grow. I cant do it by myself, if people don't start helping I'll hire help out of the Gaia Job Center. We need more people desperately, Most of our members are inactive if they see more new people posting then they might start posting. I'm doing what I can but come on everyone needs to be pulling their own weight. I don't mean to gripe but I do not want this guild to end up like other christian guilds, most of them are dead guilds. You cant bring people to Christ if you have a dead guild.

They are inactive because of finals. Plus, it's not my job to recruit anymore since I'm just crew. I can't post often because I'm working four jobs.

I do what I can with regards to creating threads and trying to kick-start discussions. I am, admittedly, a huge slacker when it comes to recruiting, however.
I do sometimes go through periods of inactivity, usually due to travelling (and thus not always having internet access) or having an especially heavy workload.
I won't be butt-hurt if I get demoted in favour of someone more active. I get the feeling that I'm sort of the odd one out for several reasons anyway. I'm equally happy to stay on as a crew member. I'll help in whatever ways I can, regardless of guild "status."
Just a heads up: my schedule generally becomes even more erratic during June through the end of August. I usually teach less when school is not in session, but due to summer tourism and other festivities, I sometimes end up working a lot more gigs. And finances and circumstances permitting, I usually take a few weeks off to go on holiday somewhere. But I'll try to give some warning if there's going to be a significant chunk of time in which I'm inactive.
I would imagine that activity will pick up at least a little in the coming weeks once people have finished with exams and their school sessions let out for the summer.

A lot of our members haven't posted since sometime in 2012. We need to do something to bring more attention to the guild.

Subliminal Aftermath A lot of our members haven't posted since sometime in 2012. We need to do something to bring more attention to the guild. I think that's just sort of inevitable for all guilds. For some reason a lot of people seem to join guilds that they never participate in. I wouldn't have a problem with trimming the fat (removing long-inactive members) and maybe even instating some kind of rule of mandatory participation. Alternately, we could make the guild public for a pre-determined period of time as a means to potentially gain more relatively active members. Though that comes with it's own set of problems.

Alternately, we could make the guild public for a pre-determined period of time as a means to potentially gain more relatively active members. Though that comes with it's own set of problems. I think if we can show that the guild is getting posts that some older members will come back. I have been doing quizzes to bump the guild up and I noticed that people are starting to post again. I don't mind leaving the inactive users on the roster, they might come back if not then it's whatever. I like the participation rule, we should discuss that. I think we should do some guild contests too like a monthly TejTek and bump contest. I think we should do a mandatory crew posting rule like crew members post at least three times a week or something. And make a hiatus thread for crew members so they can tell us when they will be gone and when the expected date for return is so we aren't guessing and wondering where these people are. Like Green she hasn't been here in forever and Rose is barely posting.

Sorry I've been really busy with school and church. lots of things happening this year.
I'll see if I can come online more often during the summer. In the meantime I'll do what i can wink Also I hate to say it but people will usually become more active when there's gold involved. So maybe think about doing weekly contests that involve posting? That will get more people posting.

Weekly would be hard to keep up with but monthly contests we could do. =o I would like to do a TekTek and Bumping contest each month...

Im about to come into quite a bit of gaia gold here soon. i can afford to do weekly contests. though we will need some investors as well... I'd like to put up an art contest for banners. An avatar contest wouldnt be a bad idea either. though that one should be monthly. any other contests you guys have in mind??

Something that Rose griped about. Shes not a VC so she doesn't have to look for members. Yeah. I feel that if you are in the crew regardless of what your title is you should be out looking for members time to time, it's everyones responsibility to better the guild and help it grow. It's everyones job to keep this place going not just one persons. If you are in crew you should pull your weight by posting, inviting people, and whatever else you can think of I mean it's you job and I think we all know to not invite trolls and people that might break rules plus if they do break rules we can just ban them and add them to the Blacklist.

Also contests that are more accessible to "less" creative people. Like weekly task. The gold could be pretty minimal.
Like: • Post five times in the main forum. •Reply to five games. •Start a topic. •and bump three times in...
etc.
once they completed these set of activities they get 1k or something....100g?
Also we can make scavenger hunts throughout the guild. We divide a phrase (or clues) between us crew and the users have to find the phrase of the week by gathering all the clues we leave throughout the different forums, but it involves a lot of team work from us on this one.
We can make it a weekly announcement.
Just an idea.

I like the scavenger hunt idea. That's actually really neat, and it would definitely encourage more people to participate.

So if everyone else likes the idea. We should start thinking on how to raise some funds for the guild.
