They couldn't go back. Dahabu couldn't even remember HOW to get back. It didn't help that poor Shula had no one TO go back to. And although he'd miss their remaining daughter there, and he'd miss his mother and half-siblings...Jasiri had never truly been HAPPY. So maybe...them not being able to go back was a good thing? Rajua was safe now, Jasiri was safe, and he'd look after Shula with his life...
But they needed a home. A pride, preferably. None of them were truly suited for rogue living. The dark male sighed as he patrolled the 'borders' of their little 'camp' for the evening, triple-checking that all was well and safe. He took the protection of his family VERY seriously.

Oin walked as he patrolled slowly, face set firmly as he looked forwards, walking slowly in thought. He was calm, collected, quiet tonight. He was wondering at his brother's whereabouts, when he'd return, and the dwarven patriarch sat, thinking in silence as he let the sky hold.
A scent wafted by, unfamiliar, of others, however, after a time, and the male opened his eyes. Strangers?
Here?
Odd.
The male rose, approaching slowly.
"Hello?" he spoke, quietly.

Dahabu's ears pricked when he caught a living scent, and heard a voice shortly after. Though he remained wary, and on guard, he still kept up a friendly front. He did love meeting creatures...he just was still wary after the confrontation with the crazed females who'd stolen Rajua.
"Hello? Am I intruding on claimed lands?" If he was...oh he'd feel horrible! He'd tried to avoid that, but Rajua and Shula had been so tired...

Oin perked, approaching with a smile.
"Ahh, hello! It's alright, we welcome outsiders here." Oin was cheerful, ears alert as he sized the male up. Oh, he liked him. He was big, strong, healthy... Maybe he'd spar some time, if he was visiting.
"What brings a large male like you here?"
He was warm, cheery, welcoming. If he played his cards right...

Oh good...Dahabu let out a sigh of relief. "Ah...just resting for a night or two. My family and I...we recently had a bit of trouble and don't travel as well as we used to." Hell, he wasn't even sure if Shula WAS used to travel. Likely not, since she'd been born in the Ukuucha. "Ah...do forgive my manners. I am Dahabu-ausi, formerly of the Mwana-a'lela and Ukuucha'wafalme."
The Mwana...another place he missed, if only because it had been his place of birth, the place he'd grown up.

"Formerly?" Oin blinked. "I'm sorry..."
He tilted his head. "Did you need food? Shelter?" He offered. Good manners-thing first. THEN care.
"I'm certain there is a den open."
Maybe they'd like the caves...

"Ah...it's a long story, I'm afraid. But thank you for the condolences." He smiled sheepishly. And then...the other offered food and shelter. Dahabu couldn't help but look back in the direction where his two mates and the female he was watching over waited, tail twitching nervously. "I...think that may be best. To accept your offer." Shula and Rajua were good Banu...but the only true warrior among them was Jasiri, with her wicked fangs and claws and agile body.

Oin watched the male's behaviour carefully, smiling some.
"So... You're a clan?"
Oh, he hoped they'd remain! The idea of a family... To revive the clan....

A clan? "I...suppose you could call us that? There's my mates and I. And we've another with us who is under my protection." He wished Enu had joined them, but...well, Enu had been happy where she was. And had duties to attend to. He couldn't pull her away from her Pad and fellow Banu for a mission he hadn't been sure would even succeed. Now, he was even more glad he hadn't pulled her away. Being unable to return would have torn her apart. "Why do you ask?"

"We've.. Lost a large portion of one of our clans recently." Oin admitted. The male frowned. "We suffered fire... With nothing to do."
He simply hoped some survived.

OH. Oh dear...Dahabu's ears drooped and his expression saddened. "I'm so sorry. I...my birth-pride suffered a bad flood. We'd lost a lot of members during that..." He knew what it was like to see your home suffer. To see creatures you'd grown up with die, or disappear.

Oin smiled.
"We are... Open to outsiders."
The phrasing was careful, offering slowly. He smiled slightly, hoping the male would follow the trail, just a little. He hoped they'd find new blood...

Dahabu tilted his head to one side, curious. Then blinked. OH! He smiled, chuckling. "Perhaps. It is entirely dependent on my mates and my ward. Any decisions made of this magnitude must be a joint one." He knew Jasiri alone would claw his a** if he made it without them. He loved his first mate...but she was a very temperamental lioness, and not one to give over ALL the power.

"It is advised. In the den, a woman has power over us, after all. It is best to talk to them."
...Oh my.
"Mates? You are a brave male." Oin chuckled. "They sound lovely though.

"Huh...Jasiri might like it, than." He chuckled. "And I'm not all that brave. I just...well, we needed the help hunting, and Rajua needed a safe place, a home. It started as business, and friendship, and grew to something more." It had been very nice. Though Rajua and he hadn't gone much further than snuggling. He was patient, and wanted things to be on her terms, not his. She needed that.
