Liara had both her wings removed as she was banished from heaven, though the spirit of Vengeance refused to leave her, marking her forever as neither friend nor foe to the Angels. No matter the time of day, high noon or otherwise, she can easily call upon the spirit of vengeance, giving her a boost in speed and power, at the cost of leaving her heavily drained afterwards. Being such a young angel, she made an extremely rash decision that caused dozens of angels to perish, as she had committed the same sin as Lucifer, only instead of betraying God, she betrayed her fellow angels. They deemed it fit to remove her wings, so she could never soar the heavens again. She created her sword from the Spirit of Vengeance's own anguish, which took her several days of work to complete. After completing the blade, when she first used it, it caused crippling agony to coarse through whomever it cut. This is as good a thing as it is bad, as she has cut herself with it on accident several times. The wounds made by this blade are impossible to fully heal, and end up leaving scars. Since she has been on earth, she has acquired three scars, all of which were from her own weapon.
