You heard in the market place or perhaps from gossip among your peers that a special herb grew along the banks of Lake Tyluafel. The Orderite Mages prized it for its radiant and healing properties, claiming that spells and potions made with the herb were much stronger. The problem is, no one ever described the herb. All you overheard was that you would "know it when you see it"; and with that you left to go out and seek it yourself! All you know is that it dwells mostly on the Eastern banks of Tyluafel and that it is easiest to find during the morning.

Thoughts of alchemy were what pervaded his mind that morning, as he had been tasked to go search for some kind of rare and powerful herb. Quan had heard about it while they were in the market where Arick had set up his shop the day prior, and just as he was starting to get bored with the idea, Lake Tyluafel came into view just past the thicket of trees ahead of him. Running to the edge of the forest, he lay his eyes on the glimmering surface of the lake, the entire scenery being cast in a radiant glow by the slowly rising sun towards the east. The young Orderite's mouth curled in a small, contented smile, and he ran forward to begin his search of the herb. Quan said he heard the other market-goers say it grew around the Eastern banks.. to his right.

Drawn to the scent and the light, you push the cattails aside to reveal a softly glowing pale gold plant. It's soft looking leaves extend outwards from it's base, stuck in the ground. This must be the Gold Petalia plant that they spoke of! After all, what other herb glowed a pale gold?

It was faint, very faint, as if distant and almost unnatural, he thought. Squinting his eyes, he regained his focus and tried his best to follow it. It smelled... like summer? Summers on Serenia were divine, though hot as was to be expected of summer weather, and the leaves and plants in the forests of Serenia had a particular aroma that was strongly indicative of the hotter months of the year. This scent, he was sure, was that of summer, and as he followed his nose to a small brush he noticed the scent slowly getting stronger. It was pleasant though, and once again reminded him of a home that he'd long since forgotten. He pushed past the collection of bushes, and in the small clearing was a small collection of small, pale gold and glowing plants. The each stuck out of the ground as if they'd been placed there only recently and looked very strange, but Ainsley still knelt beside them and inspected it carefully.
"This has got to be it..." he murmured, then quickly plucked two out of the ground, having been told not to take advantage of finding such rare herbs and things to allow other travelers the opportunity as well, and tucked them into his puch before getting up and out of the brush. Once he was in the open once again, he brushed off the dust from his pants and breathed a deep sigh of relief.
"Done!" Ainsley said with a grin, then pat the pouch that held the herbs and started to make his way back to camp. He could use a bit of breakfast, he thought, as his stomach chose just that moment to grumble and protest.
