It was the same thing, day after day. Excuse after excuse, anything to avoid spending time with his children. Caym narrowed his eyebrows as he stood behind the single, lone tree that he and his siblings were born around. It still had the decorations lingering in it's shade that his mother had prepared for when they arrived in to the world.
His father was always busy and his mother was always running herself in circles trying to keep up with them all, in the end since he was less of a concern his father had ordered Elliot to baby sit him and make sure he didn't find himself in too much trouble.
He did manage to end up in a hole to help the young filly out of it the night before and in return had his parents rowing again, blaming each other over the fact that they weren't careful enough as to notice sooner that one of their children had gone missing.
He had gone wandering out of the herds territory many times before that and they hardly noticed. He gave a snort at his thoughts and shifted back so that the tree would hide his whereabouts when the sound of hooves caught his ears.
He was here.
That blasted bunny was everywhere. He was worse in the way that he was the opposite of the cat... He followed him everywhere and the cat he could never find.
Would there ever be a time where he could win?

Elliot felt bad for Blood when Dice had given him children, because the stallion didn't really know how to deal with small ones that didn't really always do as they were told. Blood was used to dealing orders, not looking after small things that misbehaved but couldn't be punished in the way Blood sometimes sent Elliot to punish his enemies.
Elliot also felt sorry for Dice, she seemed to have to do most of the real parenting, though neither her or the children lacked for anything, it just seemed to Elliot that Dice was run ragged a lot lately, especially now the little ones were really coming out of their shells and into real personalities and getting bigger... the baskets hadn't been nearly so much trouble.
However if there was one thing Elliot knew, it was that Caym was trouble but never in real mean hearted way, at least he hoped not, regardless it always seemed to be Caym getting into scrapes, wandering off and worrying his parents, who often rowed because of it and that hurt Elliot, he wanted Dice and Blood to be happy, like before, not rowing. Which was why he didn't complain, in fact even looked forward to the times he was asked to babysit, despite feeling more than a little awkward around the little ones.
The only problem with that was Elliot wasn't the best Stallion to ask to keep someone out of trouble.. that... and finding Caym in the first place, though Elliot knew a lot of hiding places in the Hatter herd's territory, Caym was a lot smaller than he was and could be harder to find, however the little foal wasn't as skilled at hiding his tracks as he might have thought and Elliot had managed to follow a trail right up towards a large tree that quite probably concealed the foal.
"Caym!... Caym, your father asked me to keep an eye on you so you don't worry your mother, I know you're there, don't make me come and get you" he called, stopping near the tree, giving the foal a chance to come out by himself.

Caym chose to remain quiet, for the time being, hearing the stallion call out his name and explain the details revolving around why Elliot would be the one babysitting him today. It wasn't the only thing he decided to announce but a threat, following shortly after he had cleared up any misunderstanding that he may of had with his presence, which indicated he really would be in trouble if he didn't make the hares life easier.
What did he have to say to that...?
Good for him!
Did he really think that given the chance he would come forth, apologize for his behavior and then they would go on a merry stroll and play games to pass the time?
No. Not likely. He wasn't his mother and he certainly wasn't his father.
He gave a snort, emphasizing that the only thing Elliot had exceeded in was irritating him further and was now, more than ever, determined to make the guards life a living hell.
The colt took one step closer towards the edge of the tree stump barrier that had been created in order to separate both their presences from one another and arched his neck so his head could peak around the corner.
Bangs mostly in his eyes, he let out a steamy puff of air to guide the bangs from his vision. In the short time it gave him to fully take in the stallion and his whereabouts he gave him a once over.
Still the same as ever. Fancy attire, ginger mane and tail sprouting in all directions with no control or order, belt which to him appeared to be made entirely out of gold in colour and - that scarf.
Now, he always was fond of that scarf. Perhaps he could bargain for it. Then the cat-stallion came to mind and the gay colour he was constantly surrounded in. It was of similar colouration. Never did he want to feel as if he represented himself in the same way.
When the bangs fell back in to their original place, he gave a firm. "No." Retreating out of sight once more.

Elliot bristled at that snort coming from the foal's muzzle, he just KNEW Caym was going to be difficult today. Then he saw the face peeking out. "Caym...." he almost growled out. He wasn't in the mood for this, Blood's grumpiness often spilled over and the stallion took it out on Elliot and he just wasn't in the mood to have Blood blame him of Caym ran off and got lost again. No? ... "Caym, do NOT make me come after you," he grumbled as the peeking face retreated once more and Elliot moved towards the stump, carefully. "You're going to get us BOTH into big trouble if you run off" he sighed, he didn't mind doing what Caym wanted to do today.. but Elliot wasn't going to let the kid get lost or get into trouble again, it was more than his hide was worth.

Cam's ears flickered gently at the growl that came from the hares lips. Ironic considering he never thought he had heard a bunny growl before or even if they could. A deliciously dark smile crept across his lips at the thought and the obvious torment he was inflicting on Elliot.
He felt perfectly at ease behind his tree stump but with careful evaluation of the situation he wasn't unaware that the guard would risk getting close to him and soon enough he would be at his doorstep and would have him strung from the tree branch just so that he knew he wasn't going to be vanishing on his watch.
Hmmm... Decisions, decisions.
Then Elliot's voice sounded again. Firmer, meaner and Cam had to laugh at it.
"That's ok by me." He stated apathetically, giving a shrug. "You're the whipping boy."
On that note he thought it best to high tail his way out of the stallions reach. Who knew what he would do to him, surely his comment would have caught a nerve and adults when angry was never something he wanted to get in the middle of.
Turning on his heels, he reared and whinnied, kicking a few small heaps of dirt behind him on take off and started to bolt across the field and to the forests edge.

Elliot bared his blunt teeth when the colt backtalked at him. "Whipping boy?...." Calm.. calm this was Dice's kid, something she loved and cherished and would definitely NOT appreciate being beaten for his impudence. He closed his eyes for a second, concentrating on his breathing "Caym, look, i'm not going to......."
"DAMMIT" the kid was charging off on long bandy legs leaving Elliot scrambling for a second to catch up, thankfully although foals were designed physically to keep up with their mothers, meaning they were often pretty damn fast for their size, Elliot was faster, that and he had a lot more wind than a foal. He'd kept up long distance running races before and nearly always won, he was the fastest Stallion in the herd, though if Blood was racing he made damn sure he kept his speed in check.
"Caym you little brat" he snarled, nipping at the colt's shoulder as he drew alongside the running foal "I was going to say... I'm supposed to keep an eye on you but we can do whatever it is you wanna do, as long as i can keep an eye out i won't interfere in your games" he surged ahead of the colt for a moment, making his body a physical barrier too quick for Caym to avoid crashing into (hopefully, one never knew how fast foals could move sometimes)

Them damn bunny genes. Cam was silently cursing the mutant speed Elliot had and the ultimate advantage that it gave the stallion over him. A n** on his shoulder made him whinny in both protest and surprise. How dare the servant touch him! Some nerve that guy had and now he was calling him names. Caym could only bring himself to smirk at his achievement. He had managed to get under his skin. He was also finding out that beneath that gentlemanly exterior he had around his mother was hiding a much darker horse underneath.
It was far too late to put the breaks on, Elliot, appearing out of nowhere spooked the colt and in an instant the foal made a full on headbutt in to the stallions side. Dizzy with a throbbing pain in his head the colt bounced backwards, crossing leg over leg until he fell to the ground. Motionless while his eyes followed the spinning blur of colours.
"I should of seen that coming." He stammered, shaking his head the world finally began fitting itself together again until it made up a complete picture. To his dismay the figure, which he was now bumping up toward the top on his hit list, was still standing there.
In that moment he realized something. Elliot's speed was an asset that would prove to be quite useful to him. Getting back to his feet, he shook himself off and walked closer to his baby sitter, frighteningly eager. "You're remarkably fast. Would you be able to teach me to run that fast? What is your technique, you have to show me!"
